This is actually the misconception I wanted to address. See, the decision to go into the house is a gamble because it’s a winner takes it all show (well except for the side attractions). And to succeed in life, one has to be willing to take some risk, depending on the level of one’s risk appetite. I have friends who have left their jobs for uncertainties, not for a new job or marriage or relocation, but because they just feel the need to do something different before they run out of time. One just left the banking industry after 5years to pursue his music career.

I have also had colleagues who chose to pursue their passion - catering and event management, fashion designing, photography, etc. At the point of leaving, some people tried to discourage them, some made it clear that they were making the biggest mistake of their lives. But guess what? majority of them exceed expectations.

Some opportunities are once in a life time, just like Omatshola keeps saying. Jeff can always get a better job or not, the little exposure may bring him greater opportunities or not. But the truth is no one can tell the outcome of his decision yet, so i think it’s rather hasty to conclude he miscalculated or made a wrong decision by leaving his job. And it doesn’t have to be showbiz really. Some of these housemates return to their private hustle after ticking the big brother bucket list.

I can excuse those that went into fashion designing, catering and all but leaving job for Music to me is a terrible decision.

I agree it is too early to conclude Jeff miscalculated but unless he gets himself on track asap, he will have some problems picking himself up.

See...what the average man doesn't know is that showbiz is a mirage.....you see those celebs or so called influencers are actually the biggest hustlers....except for a very few that are lucky to carve a niche for themselves.....most of them dont know where their next meal is coming from....so they hustle twice as hard....and that huslting includes ass-licking.....orisirisi and for the ladies....runs dey enter.....

Then those few wey their market sell...its just for a season....there was a time IK was everywhere....he is not doing badly currently but Ebuka has taken over....in a few years another sharp guy go come on board.....so if they don't invest well when their market is selling....hunger dey loom in the nearest future....

So when Tobi left is banking job for BBN, i didnt think much of it when i got to know his Dad is an ED in one of the banks....if he wants to make a come back tomorrow....e sure for am....but u see this Jeff, Frodd and Sir dee....i no understand their decision.....except they are not core staff....because after the few initial months of gra gra....things go hard o.....they should ask those in showbiz how far...

Well, showbiz sells, in a period of 6months, you may make far more than what an average Nigerian civil servant would earn in his 35 years of service as salary so you can't blame some people when they want to try their hands on showbiz.

Showbiz doesn't last long though, na warawara market.

If you see any Nigerian man approaching women with brains, they usually have foreign exposure. All these local peacocks can only target women they can throw 5k on, that is their standard. Even the ones that target women like Mercy, get international exposure.

This is a fallacy of hasty generalisation, there are more Nigerian men, never been outside Nigeria and they are married to beautiful, independent and intelligent Nigerian women.

This is one of the reason we have the leaders that are ruling us. I don't really understand the hype for Mike and I don't hate him either anyway but I can't vote for him.

I want a female winner this season. Either Mercy or Tacha. Although mercy doesn't have any bearing of what she want to use the money for Sha.

Mercy has a plan for the money.
She has mentioned it before that regardless if she wins or not, she has a charity programme she wants to sponsor, I'm not sure if it's about autism or sickle cell disease.
She wants to expand her clothing line and compete with world designers.

I like the way Diane removed herself from Esther's toxic rants and is now hanging out with Enkay and Elo. I noticed she didn't contribute much to that conversation where Mercy was boasting that she will stay till the last day and Esther was saying some people have to leave. She must have deduced that Tacha has a strong fanbase and those are not the kind of people to be on the wrong side of. I'm pretty certain that she will not nominate Tacha tomorrow.

Gedoni and Esther are similar, they both feel they have a large fan base.

That Ebuka is making her look like she wasn't feeling comfortable about the new HMs. Mike is trying to telling her it's probably the question on Ebuka's list of things to talk about. Trying to encourage her. She is complaining that some viewers only watch the eviction show and seeing the questions Ebuka is asking her would make the viewers see her in a negative way.

Don’t believe this. Seyi knows what he’s doing, he sees tacha as a threat. This was just a convenient lie for viewers who would see nominating tacha as a betrayal (rightfully so too)

That's another angle though, but he's been flirting with her and so far the only guy that has come close to touching Tacha's body, even other guys fear to dance near her and the thing is, Tacha, isn't chasing him away. What he has for her is lust sha.

I didn't like that Ike apologised for the sake of the game, the theme is pepper so everything has to be hot and peppery.

However, for his sanity, it's better as he apologised, that's his personality, he always sees the need to apologise after dishing it hot, he doesn't keep grudges or take things to heart. He says it out immediately and that's all. It takes courage to apologise in the presence of everyone, he just won me over again.

Seyi should continue playing the psychologist script, he will be surprised when the script flips against him. A coward that has a thing for Tacha but too timid to express his mind to her but went ahead to nominate her for possible eviction. Why would you want a woman out of a competition because of your own feelings like she is responsible for your inability to control your urge?
