Well half bread is better than none, kudos to Abia people, they have suffered alot from bad governance. Alex Otti seems to be someone that will listen to the people. |

It has happened before, so be warned and steer clear of dangers, please. Oga calm down, read my comment well. Tntsi: Fake news. Podatti has come out to say he is not in any alliance.
Only a drunk and demented ohaneze will ask a podatti to team up with a questionable person like unconstitutional.
The true ohaneze cannot utter such gibberish. if you read, you will understand their point. Atiku is so desperate for power and will not give Obi a chance to lead the alliance, there will be chaos so Obi best bet is to build a tent around the already ruling party. |

So none of them had eyes to see the high tension wire? Just say RIP and move on abeg. U go explain tire. Nigerians are not known to be safety conscious No be still in this same Nigeria that people build shops under high tensions?

Politics › Cybercrime, My Shocking Experience by Wainey(op): 9:12pm On Aug 20, 2023 |
Cybercrime aka Yahoo Yahoo is not a new word in Nigeria.
Yesterday I was in a WhatsApp group discussion and someone talked about how he is into Yahoo and he is making money, I told him Yahoo is nothing but stealing to me and those involved are just thieves, no sugar-coating.
I never knew my words could anger alot of people in the group, i was rebuked while being schooled that Yahoo is not stealing, at some point I began to question myself if I was really the one that doesn't know much about this Yahoo thing or am I missing something from reality.
Someone even said and I quote "it doesn't matter how a person hustle to feed himself, you have no right to judge him" , judge him you say? This guy is a proud thief, when did this menace become widely accepted in our society? I felt bullied and I had to end the discussion. omoh, Yahoo has become an accepted part of our life.
Reminds me of a thread where police caught some cyber criminals and most of the comments on NL is that the police should leave young youths alone and do their job. Like wtf is going on? |

In short I cannot waste time with you,it is clear you are still a kid living on allowance that is why you can post this rubbish that a JSS1 student can never do. Oh, I can jail ur leaders as I like and not even court can make me release them, ur leaders can only accept the appointment I give them, if I want them to step down as senate, they will gladly obey. Politics › Re: Subsidy Palliative: Why Can't FG Pay Nigerians Directly Into Their Accounts? by Wainey: 7:57pm On Aug 20, 2023 |
bigiyaro: I have opay and palm pay on my phone, with zero balance. Not having a means of payment is more of an attitudinal and illiteracy problem than extreme porverty problem. If the FG announced payment through accounts, and people actually see the payments coming through, am 100% sure every eligible person will find a way. those guys washing wind screen gross more than 3.5k daily incase you don't know. Oga rest, not everyone has a phone, not everyone has a bank account and not every one makes so much for saving. |
Politics › Re: Subsidy Palliative: Why Can't FG Pay Nigerians Directly Into Their Accounts? by Wainey: 7:40pm On Aug 20, 2023 |
achimendy: Stop talking ignorantly. The current Nigeria population is estimated around 220 million people, and the FG is disbursing 5 billion to each state to curb the hardship caused by subsidy-removal. So do the maths now, including those that don't have account because they'll surely help them open those accounts. What's the population for each state, it should not be more than 10 or 15 million I guess, and for states like lagos and kano others are less than. Let's use plateau state as case study that has population of 4 million. If you share 500k for each person per month then tell me how much will remain, and also tell me how many months the remaining cash will serve the populace.
Corruption and bribery is the problem bro, not those without account. look at someone calling me ignorant, let us imagine a state has 5m person's, if you share N5b to 5m person's, that is about 1k per person, assuming there is no bank charge and other costs What will you do with that money? States like Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Rivers etc will not even get up to N800. |

ibinaboonline: Now what about those that don't have bank account, that will be elitism at it's finest.
As for this part, you read what he wrote. It's an opportunity to get the unbanked to get their bvn. I'm pretty sure even if there are those still unable to get a bank account/bvn, the government can always find a way to reach those people directly. It's not only during election period that we figure out how to get millions of people in the voting system, each with a voter card. before everyone get a bank account, it may be like 5months from now, do you think people can endure? |
Politics › Re: Subsidy Palliative: Why Can't FG Pay Nigerians Directly Into Their Accounts? by Wainey: 5:00pm On Aug 20, 2023 |
bigiyaro: that's the more reason to have a means of collecting payment. do you chose to not understand or what? There are people that survive by washing windscreen on traffic and the drivers give them like N200, sometimes N50, what do u think multi dimensionsional poverty means? People dont make enough to save. Let the poor breet |

bigiyaro: any nigerian without a functional bank account or a means of collecting payment, not even palm pay, kuda or opay, that nigerian is still fed by someone else and deserves no palliative. You have no idea how people survive in Nigeria. People feed hand to mouth |

BeigJawnson: Read the post again and see the OP's suggestion about those with no accounts... not every village has a bank branch. Why didn't you suggest that only those with bvn can vote and see the chaos that will follow |
Politics › Re: Subsidy Palliative: Why Can't FG Pay Nigerians Directly Into Their Accounts? by Wainey: 1:06pm On Aug 20, 2023 |
Yusufisraelj: Really do some reading bro those who have active accounts in the country as at two years that I check was 77 million. So let's say 90 million now.
Forty thousand will go round with plenty change at 500 billion. so those that don't have accounts should not get the money, what is the difference between you and the politicians? |

phorget: You are not been truthful to yourself though, your narrative suits just yourself only. This is what I followed up. You can have your own narrative and then we will come to a compromise that suits everyone, that is the essence of argument. But as long as you try to give us Obi, we will greatly reject him cow you guys rejected h while he was a governor, so if it wasn't for just selfish interest, nobody will force us to vote Obi that Anambra called the worst governor. Why didn't you sell us the likes of Dave Umahi who we all know is good? you cannot sell us a man like obi, even in 2027, it won't work. |
