I guess because doors are always locked when the car is put on drive. So when an accident occur, the car will still be on drive as in the gear is still on D. Which means doors are still locked.

the way some people boasted, if somebody had told me that the guy will still be incarcerated by now and Nigeria will be relatively peaceful despite his incarceration, I won't have believed it. We have seen that nothing will happen even if he continues to remain in prison, the govt should just warn him, he will sign undertaking to be of good conduct and be released, if he breaches his undertaking, they can always pick him up.
