The amnest deal, the laying down of arms, the meetings, the less use of force- me think the man needs to be commended. Whats your take? I expect the westerners to shout this down, but who cares?

I feel you, but wait till the burger eating, overfed diasporians wake up and read your post, they will shout you down and wish you were never born. Even the good things happening in Nigeria a re seen as bad in their eyes, they see it as un necessary, imagine someone complaining of two stadia next to each other in Lagos and says that has never been seen anywhere in the world, and thus says it is non sense, then you wonder how that person thinks.

PoliticsWhy Wont The Diasporians Stop Mocking The Poor In Nigeria? by walakolobo(op): 8:47am On Nov 16, 2009
They tell you un imaginable things, they mock the poor, they show you dirty places the poor live, they show you dirty roads, dirty trasnsport systems in the poor places and they compare it with America- when will these guys wise up and stop mocking the poor? They may be poor but they are happier than most of you, what is their problem?

Common sense demands that if you dont have a solution to a problem, then stop laughing at it.

@Tosh and his allies

Justification of bad governance, keep deceiving yourselves. At the end of the day, the fact still remains that the average Nigerian don't live a good life, or anything close to your pictures. The economic condition of a country isn't measured solely on the basis of a National Stadium (never well maintained anyways except when needed for major competition), National theatre or the other pictures you posted.
Same, the economic condition of a country is not measures solely on the basis of the pictures the poster started with - cant you make a simple analogy??

and i have also seen hundreds of homeless people in America, especially in Hollywood where most people who love America so much here doesnt have the luxury of visiting, I have seen people live under the bridges, I have seen poor and poverty ridden shackles where people live, it is not as painted by those ones who only have a few opportunity and think they are in paradise.

So many Nigerians living abroad beleive home is home, no matter what. Even though they are not at home, they plan their future for home. But lets say, America and UK begins a clampdown on people without legal papers and decides to send them packing and back to their respective countries, how many of these Nigeria is a hell hole place people will survive? Please lets know!

Bitter, Bitter, Bitter, Bitter about what? this is part of what we are talking about, bitter because you eat burger and i cant, bitter that you shop in Tescos and i cant, bittert hat you ride in the underground and i dont, bitter that you work in the cold and i dont, bitter about what? Please tell me, before you change the word bitter to the word jealous or envious as someone has just said.

I think it is the other way round - there is every tendency for Nigerians in the diaspora to be jealous, bitter and envious about the folks back home, the home they called failed, the home they called hell, they are bitter because most of their mates they left are now in a better position than them, why should anyone in Nigeria be envious and bitter or jealous about people abroad? We havent been there, lived there, got bored and left or what is it? Envious that you work in the cold, that you have to make rounds between train stations, or what are we envious about?
