all that geeky stuff is not necessary on BB10...and i can assure you most of your clients won't care about the indepth technical stuff...they just want a device that works...and BB10 works damn well

1. there's nothing you want to do on BB10 that you're not allowed to do so we don't need apps that require root access before they work and YES we can sideload 70% of all android apps

2. with a generous 2GB of RAM and an efficient OS to manage it, RAM optimization is inbuilt even from 10.0..we are currently on 10.2.1

3. Every genre of games are available and BB10 devices can play any game. specific titles might be missing but that is because the developer has not made the decision to release a BB10 version not because the device cannot handle them

BlackBerry Protect is turned on by default and the earlier you get on the web to log in with your sister's BBID and lock the phone the better...also so long as the phone is switched on, you can see the location on a map

you're confusing me here...you already have the correct BB10 version that allows you to install android apps directly. that version is the 10.2.1.176 which is equal to 10.2.1.1055...

Those are the two codes for the same OS version.

Then all you just have to do is install android apk of the app you want or you can install 1mobile.com android appstore to get all the android apps in one place

The camera might not be best in class but it's in the same ball park with all other 8mps cameras in the world

The security wipe is an irreversible process, you have to wait for it to finish.

Keep your phone plugged in and let it finish no matter how long it takes

So what's the problem ? It doesn't look to me like the pictures were taken the same day or under the same lighting condition

Were you expecting the BlackBerry 10 to add bright sunlight to the car even when the picture was taken when there was no sun out

Post a Dropbox link to a sample picture you consider not sharp enough for you

check under any folder that says 'android' and look for files you can delete...that should reduce the size of what you have under 'others'

remove the blackberry ID from which phone? the one you gave to your sister?

she has to create her own BBID so that she can have a personal experience. the best way to avoid any confusion is for her to wipe the device to remove all your stuff so she can put her own stuff properly

all you need is a wifi. the latest OS can only be installed OTA (Over the Air)

you dont need to do anything special to get the latest OS upgrade if you dont have it already....once you are connected to a wifi, check for software update and start

so long as you have a minimum of 2Gb of internal storage available, you are good to go

How long as your sister being using the phone ? If you wipe the phone, everything will be deleted. Pictures, videos everything your sister has saved on the phone since you gave it to her

You need to talk with her so she can move all her pictures and videos in the internal memory and paste them to the SD card and then you can wipe the phone remotely

Also all her bbm contacts are now attached to your profile and she will have to manually re-add them when she creates her own BlackBerry ID while you will have to delete them from your own bbm

You need to move pictures, videos and downloaded items from the internal storage to your SD card.

It looks like you have been saving those things to the internal memory

Did you wipe the phone before giving it to your sister ?

You need to wipe the phone to allow your sister log in to the phone with her own BlackBerry ID
