Elai147: Thanks jare for the info... So why should an investor go through these companies (and pay extra commission charge) when he/she can buy directly from banks and discount houses? Are these bills actually purchased in the investors name or the company's name? Also, who credits investors account at maturity- the stockbrokers or the bank they use? If investors accounts are credited by the stockbroking firms then it is possible the bills were actually bought in the company's name and not the investor's name. If this is true, it is the stockbroking firms that are actually covered by FG/CBN's guarantee on TBills, not the investors. So if these companies go bankrupt what happens to investors capital? Because I don't understand why a company that is not a marketer of Tbills will be posing as middleman or agent and investors will be purchasing Tbills via these companies. This is just a "what if" scenario as I only buy my Tbills through banks. Perhaps those that buy through stockbroking firms can clarify me on the above issue.

There are designated banks and discount houses licensed to provide the treasury bills investment services to the populace. People should avoid stockbrokers or any other person who is not a direct source

I'm sure you're all following the airtel bis saga that is currently raging on nairaland

For us BlackBerry 10 users, I don't think there's anything to worry about. What's likely to happen is that airtel bis will become like glo bis. It won't work on andriods but will work on BlackBerry 10

Although I personally don't think airtel will follow through on the threat. The revenue loss for them will be significant if they do it

In other news, there's also the rumor of etisalat bis now working on BlackBerry 10 devices

Any etisalat users in the house can test it out and let us know

donaemeka: Mehn the email back up thingy ain't working. In fact it's just only 9 numbers. Dat are being backkd up and I've tried dis severally. As for the blackberry link back up, settings doesn't back up phone numbers. I know bcs I just tried it. I backed up only settings, wiped the fone and restored but then it didn't restore any number

That's why I said the numbers saved on the phone are the only ones backed up. Most of your numbers are either saved on the sim or your email

You need to connect back your email

i don't believe the current crop of BB10 devices have FM radio. they have internet radio though and there are many free apps to use for internet radio from all over the world

Z10 and all the other BB10 devices have wifi direct because that requires just a software update to implement and it has been implemented since OS10.1 update

the only reason the Z10 doesn't have Miracast is because it was the very first BB10 hardware made and the hardware component required for the implementation was not included.

Miracast has been implemented in the Q5 also...does that mean it is technically superior to the Z10?

Baroba: Haba Walcom, the Z30 is is expensive now, I think the Q10 os a better device than the Z10. . Well I will say that, since I just bought one...lol

no the Q10 is not a better device...its just a different form factor and the specs are the same for both of them....Z10 is the ALL TOUCH and Q10 is physical KEYBOARD version of essentially the same device

settings will be my guess but that is only for numbers that you save on the device....most time the BB10 saves your numbers to the simcard....recent OS upgrades now allow you to save your numbers to an email address so that they will be independent of the device. that way, to get your number back, all you have to do is relink the email to the phone and enable the address book of that email

From the pictures app, select the picture of interest and tap the 3 dots at the bottom right.

Tap the 4th icon in picture 1 below and it will bring up the properties page as shown in picture 2

Turn on mobile hot-spot. Setting - > network and connection. See picture below. Set up the name and password for your mobile hotspot

From your pc, search for the hotspot you have just set up and use the password to connect

Just pinch and zoom with your fingers directly on your screen.

Can't remember the exact page but like I mentioned in my post, there's a picture attached to the post showing what your BlackBerry world setting should look like so that should make it easier for you to find

If the picture is low quality, it might appear blurry when you use it on BlackBerry 10 bbm

Before blaming it on your q10, check the properties of the picture you received. If it is high quality in terms of pixel density, then it should not appear blurry in your bbm

The only time you need to download on wifi is for the OS

We already cleared the issue of downloading apps using cellular data

Look in previous pages for the solution. there is a picture to show you the settings you need to remove the restrictions
