BBM is totally integrated into the BBID now...if your previous BB was running at least OS7, then all your BBM contacts are already associated with your BBM profile via your BBID

all you have to do to get them on your new BB is to log in with the BBID you were using on your last BB

there's no best subscription....any type of data subscription works on BB10 devices

Try to log in to that link from a pc and confirm your bold 5 shows up on your profile

if you don't see your stolen BB on your profile, then it means you didn't activate BB protect on your previous device before it was stolen.

its a common oversight for people using the previous BB, they don't realize they need to activate the BB protect app to allow it back up their data. the BlackBerry company walks its talk when it comes to security and the app won't access your data unless you actively give it the permission to

another thing that could have hapened is, if you are one of those people who don't like updating the apps and software on their phone, you could have been using outdated version of BBID, BBM, BB World, BB Protect etc...what that means is, some of the automation and back up protection that were built in after OS7 were not available to the device

You don't need BlackBerry link. Just a USB cable to connect your BlackBerry to the pc

To download anything, hold the link to the download file until some icons pop up from the right hand side of the screen, one of them is 'save link as' tap it to start the download

Your friend with the problematic camera needs to return the phone and collect another one. It's a factory defect

Go to http://protect.blackberry.com and log in with your BlackBerry ID. You should see your stolen BlackBerry Bold 5 listed

Make sure you are using that same BlackBerry ID on the new phone when you try to restore. From the screen shot you posted, you ought to see the bold 5 listed

I don't know how come screen capture has now been replaced by 'munch' but in BlackBerry 10 munching is done by pressing the volume +/- buttons at the same time

Just update your OS to fix the text number issue

There's no step by step necessary.

Just make sure you're on the latest OS version on the new BlackBerry. Log in with the same BlackBerry iD as you were using on the previous BlackBerry and open BlackBerry Protect.

There's an option to restore data from your previous back up

After downloading to a pc, just double click to start the installation with your BlackBerry connected to the pc via USB.

Do not restore your apps or settings after installation

Re-install your apps from BlackBerry world
Install 1mobile apk and afterwards use the 1mobile app to install android apps

I am talking about normal simple apps here.

i think you need to cool down and take the time to know this new OS before you get all hyper...some of those apps i.e quick pull that were popular on the archaic BBOS are no longer necessary on BB10..even pulling your battery to reset the device is not necessary in BB10

in BB10, if you need to restart your device, all you have to do is hold down the power button at the top and you get the option to shut down, lock or restart

the effect of the 'restart' is the same as physically removing the battery and putting it back to reset


the games on BB10 are way ahead of anything you could have run on BBOS...some of the 'exact' titles on BBOS are yet to get to BB10 but the games currently available on BB10 are very good...just go to the games section of BB World and look at the games on offer rather than looking for the games you had on BBOS

if you are unable to sign in, its probably a problem from yahoo..

i don't know many people who still use yahoo messenger and i never bothered to install in on my Z10 so i'm not able to confirm if the sign in problem is general

the best thing is to contact yahoo help pages on the internet

BlackBerry 10 devices don't function as android. They can run android apps in addition to BlackBerry apps

BlackBerry 10 runs on all types of data including bis.

Etisalat and mtn have only deliberately blocked bis on BlackBerry 10
