zilomes: Need to restore - most of d gift app can't be redownloaded. + d size are large. So?nah...once you have downloaded them the first time, they are attached to your profile...even if you uninstall them or change your device, they will always be available as part of your apps just check under the 'available' tab in your BB World profile |

blacqueen: AirtelAirtel apn is internet.ng.airtel.com |
There's no point restoring an app from back up. Always download a fresh copy from BlackBerry world Apps are associated with your BlackBerry ID so any app you 'loose ' can be easily downloaded again |
Dear Berry: How do I import contacts from my Curve to the Z10 I have gotten rid of my old BB, and saved my contacts on Blackberry Desktop Manager before letting it go. I now have a new Z10/Q10/Q5/Z30. There seem to be a couple of ways of switching devices and transferring old contacts and everything else from one to the other, but only if you still have both devices! I am getting frustrated with the whole thing. Is there anything I can do with the saved contacts in my old desktop manager files? download BlackBerry Link. Once the program is installed on your computer, You should be able to pull the old Desktop Manager backup files by performing a selective restore to retrieve the address book entries. Note: 1. When going from one BlackBerry 10 device to another or just restoring the same one, these advanced features are not offered. 2. these directions are for Windows running the latest version of Link only Perform a selective restore - Windows 1. Connect your device to your PC via the USB Cable 2. Launch BlackBerry Link from the desktop icon if it does not automatically run 3. From the menu on the left hand side under your device name select Back Up and Restore 4. Under Settings, ensure the application points to the correct backup location 5. Under Actions click on Restore Device 6. In the popup box, select the backup (device and date) that you wish to restore information from 7. Make sure "restore all data" is not checked 8. Under that heading, check off all of the available databases (not all legacy data is supported) that you wish to transfer from your old device to your BlackBerry 10 handset (i.e. Address Book, Calendar, or Browser Bookmarks) 9. When finished, click on Restore and accept the warning that the current data will be replaced with that on the file selected Using these directions you will be able to transfer select data from your legacy device over to your new BlackBerry 10 handset |
you can restart the hub to see if that fixes the problem |
Y do u ask? |
RICHIE BOI: There are a lot of free apps already on d app world. How do we know d special free apps and what's special about dis 25 days of free apps? The free apps for x-mas see clearly highlighted and you can't confuse them with regular free apps. Besides, they are paid apps that are given free for 24hrs only. After each day the apps are not free anymore |

If you are new to BlackBerry world, you might need to set your account up properly |
All the information you need as a new BlackBerry 10 user is on post 1 of this thread in page 0 |
Do you have data subscription? Is your apn setting correct? |
YellowBastard: Thanks Emmanuel, actually what you wrote is exactly the information I got from the different Registrar(s).If the deceased was your father, you could have said that straight up..i responded based on the tone of your post There are so many people who have taken possession of deceased relatives property when they are not supposed to have any claims to such property That is why the process of getting a letter of administration is so cumbersome and long |
RICHIE BOI: pls am on the new BB 10 update. How can i password my pics on my Q10. i heard pics can be passworded on the new update.Maybe I haven't noticed that feature yet but I'm not sure you can lock your pictures. What I know of is that you can use a picture to lock your device rather than typing in a password to unlock the device |
RICHIE BOI: Hi Walcolm, pls how can i blacklist any contact or spam messages on my Q10 with this new update 10.2.1 ?Not sure you can blacklist someone on calls and sms although you can block them from sending you bbm request |
Depends on your interests....i will suggest you look for the android apps you had on your previous device on BlackBerry world |
Thanks @frekyfrik and @anitank |
Why do you want to claim the dividend of a dead relative? Are you the person's heir? It is criminal to try to claim what doesn't belong to you |
Mc Stoic: Yeah, its working big time, even blazing faaassssst!! But like I said earlier, I was wrongly subscribed to weekly plan of 514mb (plus extra 15mb ) for 500naira anyway instead of the monthly plan of 3g for 1000. I think the mistake should be from the monthly code; I am not sure whether its *449*3# or *499*3#. Aside this, it's perfect. It's *499*3# |
When you long press on a number in the phone log, an icon with 'i' shows up on the right. Click it and you can see the history of the number |
Did you tamper with your apn setting ? If the answer is no, then you don't need to do anything. Once the phone starts receiving data signal again that prompt should clear |
Toggle airplane mode on and then off |
I have been trying to subscribe but I keep getting a message 'sorry the operation failed. Try again later ' |
