Politics / Re: See How Much I Am Charged For Electricity Despite Less Than 6hrs Daily Supply by waldigit: 12:08pm On Apr 04
jmoore:
I stay in Aba and my feeder is probably the worst. Anyone that stays in Aba and has knowledge about the feeders should know that 33 Ukwa feeder has always been in bad shape. I can go 4-5 days with blackout and the rest 2 days can't even boast of total 8 hours of electricity.

When NERC announced that they have increased the tariff of band A from 66 naira to 225 naira, I found the announcement ridiculous. I get around 8 hours of power supply a week and my last payment around December last year was 82 naira per kwh.

This morning, I decided to check the current tariff on my meter and I saw 95.7 naira per kwh.

From my observation, the band rating is a scam. Many customers are wrongly classified. Many are even paying higher than the Band A.

If you you afford a prepaid meter get one. If you can't suspend consumption until you can afford one. If you can go for solar, wind turbine.
Some of us are even staying close to running water we can go hydro. There's no absolute monopoly in life.

Religion / Re: If God Truly Forgive Us Our Sins, What Then Is Karma? by waldigit: 1:34pm On Mar 31
MadeINchenzen2:
The complete chapters of the Bible gave no insights or notes about 'karma'... Though the term 'karma' is from the Janism, Hindu and Buddhist religion, but everyone believes in it strongly... Maybe the Bible insinuated it when Christ said "He who kill by the sword, will die by the sword"... " What a man sows, he reaps"...

If we all agree with this (karma) why then do we ask God for forgiveness?

Can one commit a sin and be completely forgiven by God and free from consequences?

Kindly help me with your insights. Thanks
Genesis 8:22

Gen 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
You can see from above the very foundation of our world is based on "karma".
So forgiveness is not a substitute for law of harvest. It's a compliment to it. If you do wrong you repent, the next step is to restitute, that is restore what you damage.
It's then you can escape the law of harvest. The one you call karma.
But one principle is distinct about God. He can decide that your descendants pay for your sins. This is because he doesn't deal with human in the physical alone.
You may pay for sin in hell while your descendants pay for the same sin in the physical while you yourself escape from it in the physical realm. We have a lot of instances in the Bible. But one thing is certain sinners would not go unpurnished except you repent and restitute.
This is why it's dangerous to commit some sins like murder that is difficult to restitute . See examples of close people to God such as David, Apostle Paul, even the Lord Jesus Christ inherited the curse of the house of David.
Apostle Paul taught about sin unto death. God may destroy the body so that He can save the soul. That's why we are always shock about some high profile sudden death in our mist. My God help to know more about him.

Religion / Re: Why Do Some Great Pastors Die Young Despite Healing Many by waldigit: 12:35pm On Mar 17
JESUS died at the age of 33.5 years. Check up what is called " divine purpose". Man is on time critical mission on earth.
Although man can die before appointed time. Some like Ezekiah even died after appointed time.
The critical thing is for man to identify his divine purpose before his time runs out.
Also he has a responsibility to take care of himself seeking knowledge wisdom and power to do so, so as to withstand the enemy whose mission is to kill, steal and destroy before the appointed time.

A 200-level student and course representative at Lead City University has been apprehended for stealing a mobile phone on campus. The incident has sent ripples through the student body, prompting discussions about ethics and the responsibilities of student leaders.

The student, identified only as Peace, was caught red-handed by campus security after a fellow student reported the missing phone. According to reports, the stolen phone belonged to her fellow student.

Phone technology should become a compulsory special elective in both secondary and tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The way young people are getting obsessed by mobile phone dipicts their ignorance about the technology. Some of them are ready to do anything to acquire phone. This is height of ignorance!

Yes very excellent response. One other matter is there I understand it may not be believed but I've had experience. There was a lady that I gave a few strokes over 30 minutes later she fainted. One was a slap on the back (I rarely beat girls and when I do I prefer their back it's least dramatic and less sexually related eg harassment beating on their buttock) only for me to see her the next day had a dislocate shoulder.

The challenge is that many of these children especially in private schools for the elite, currently teach in one of the best and have home lessons with some from another of the best, one currently one previous (she's through with uni now), I can tell you for free they are unruly and rude. One that I thought from when he was in primary 4, now in SS 3 wanted to beat me the other day literally. Later he spoke about how they treat teachers and hurt them intentionally especially during sport. If they don't like you no matter how good you are or intend to help them you are gone. The problem is that these are the kind of people we would have from schools, their vices are going to be more. Parents dont have time to train them, teachers hands are tied how do we raise good children? In many places your two strokes sef is forbidden.

Putting a limit helps in prevention of abuse from bad eggs among teachers. With or without beating we shall still have both good and bad children. In developed world where they don't beat does it mean all their children are wayward. Their education and moral standard is still far better than ours in some aspects of life. This should be enough confirmation to us that correction doesn't necessarily has to be corporal form to produce results.

Agreed, I have but one question. How do you correct unruly students? I have a long comment to give on the matter as well as my experiences with students. Meanwhile let it be on record that I do not agree to corporal punishment leading to injuries or hurt. So please let me hear your suggestions and any other persons
To be fair to teachers most of them don't intend to hurt student but out of every 12 there's a judas. So government is right by taking position against corporal purnishment because the repercussions of Judas among teachers is always fatal and lead to irreparable loss. So what the teachers should do is limiting themselves to how they dispense such purnishment. As a teacher I could limit myself to just 2 or 3 stroke on the hand or leg. Any offence they requires more than that should be referred to another form of purnishment like cleaning the toilet, cutting grass or inviting the parents. This last one is usually used in developed country.

Why can't we use Satellite tracking systems to identify killers and kidnappers and bring them to book. If you are a member of thr Nigerian security force, i need you to provide me with constructive answer to my question immediately.
Man power, infrastructure most importantly political will. A regime like that of Buhari that engages in extra judicial killings would be relunctant to invest in a system that will expose it.

2 Kings 6:28-30 And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow.
So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.
And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh.
Jehoram the son of Ahab was the king of Israel when King of Syria made a siege against Samaria , the royal city of divided Isreal.
The siege or barricade created famine of the worst dimension in human history and this resulted to cannibalism among citizens against their own children.
There was a case of breach of agreement between two women on how to take turns to feed on their children to survive. The King of Isreal heard about this and following were his reaction:
1. He tored his royal robe in the public.
2. He changed into sackcloath and appeared in the public with them 2King 6:30
3. He descended on highly placed public office spiritual leader in the person of Elisha issuing out instant execution order as purnishment for his failure.2King 6:31
Moral lessons.
1.Passion for humanity is greatly exhibited buy this leaders action.
2.This King was ready to tread on big toes for the sake of common people.
3. This leadership trait brought about speedy result within 24 hours.2King7:1
Conclusion
Today one wonders how leaders still go about in shinning apparels in Nigeria in the mist of National affliction.
Some host elaborate wedding ceremony for their children while children of the poor are in sex slavery and captivity.
Some hide their children in schools abroad while the children of the poor are left to face the risk of being kidnapped from schools.
There is need for people especially from Africa to know that leadership is a calling.
If you know you don't possess passion and compassion for humanity, then be rest assured LEADERSHIP is not your calling.
Properties / Re: My New Borehole Pumps Out Dirty Water First, Before Clean Water. Help! by waldigit: 9:08am On Jan 20
Grupo:
Hello all,

Please I drilled a new borehole for my village house.

According to the geologist who did the survey, we'd get water at 65 meters. So I paid him to bring drillers to drill 65m well.

After the whole drilling and installation, and flushing of the well, I noticed that each time I pump the water, the well brings out dirty brown water for like 20 minutes before it starts bringing out clean water.

And the next time I pump the water, it repeats the same way. I have contacted the drilling company and they are not saying anything useful.

Please I will appreciate contributions from experienced people on how to navigate this challenge.

Please @mods, or the mod in charge of this section, kindly help me push this to the front page. I really need opinions.

Thanks.
Don't worry your self since it's new. I experienced it with a borehole on one of my site. With continuous usage it will flush out all material in suspension and become clean.
