FreeStuffsNG: smh at you and OP. Leave this idle life on social media and study. A lot is going on in that space so much that if you had just been diligent enough to study and not lament as usual, you will feel proud about this great nation. Building a palm plantation takes years but once it hits production you then start seeing it. While you lament here, almost on a monthly basis since this current govt came on board, new palm plantations and palm oil refinery are being set up and doing backward integration. Such companies are on the stock exchange and I know at least 3 companies on the exchange that invested billions in a palm plantations but yet to hit production. In fact, from much already going on in that space, other savvy investors are moving to other cash crops like cashew which is one of the highest export now and Julius Berger has started buying up unshelled cashew nuts to process into nuts and export. Just stop wasting your time and life on the social media, a lot is going on so find out and key in so you can quit this lamentation.
Social media is the best place to know if such things are going on. Every multinationals has pages on it. Those companies who invested in it would need to market it to the world someday and social media provides such platform, if a lot is going on and social media doesn't know, maybe it is for domestic consumption. Anyway I am aware of many private investment in that direction and a part of some in a little way but the role of government in providing enabling environment is what would to a large extent determine the outcome, just like Malaysia that the OP cited.
Elbinawi: Malaysia exports $13.31 billion worth of palm oil in eight months -- News Report
Me:
One of the areas I give importance to is raising awareness among Nigerians on the necessity of developing the comatose and archaic Agricultural sector.
From the above report Malaysia exports $13.31 billion worth of palm oil in eight months. This is close to what Nigeria earns from Crude Oil sales in the same period.
It is important to note that Palm Oil originates from West Africa where it grows in the wild and later was developed into an Agricultural crop. Sadly, today Indonesia is the world largest producer of Palm Oil closely followed by Malaysia.
Indonesia and Malaysia are by far the largest palm oil producing nations. Together they account for 85-90 percent of the total production of this vegetable oil. Other important producing countries are Colombia, Nigeria and Thailand.
Correction:
There is this fraudulent rumor that the late Premier of the Northern region, Sardauna of Sokoto, took Palm Oil seedlings to Malaysia. This is not true. Palm Oil was introduced to Malaysia, then Malaya, by the British in early 1870's as an ornamental plant.
Conclusion:
Nigeria and by extension West Africa should wakeup and double Palm Oil production in the region. While other nations of the world are making progress and advancing, we are moving backwards with underdevelopment. Unfortunately, this is our sad reality...

Because government are clean men who don't have time for dirty work such as weeding, clearing, cutting, I mean they want something quick-quick like just did the ground scoop it up voila money is here!
MyVILLAGEpeople: You can hire DSS personnel’s as a wealthy Nigerian. The likes of Jowi zaza, E money and lots of other wealthy folks move with DSS personnel’s including mopols. Just get money for this country. I mean enough money and see protocols broken for you.
That's why they say everything is for sale in Nigeria.
Kobojunkie: 1. You don't make sense at all with this assertion, I hope you understand that. That Paul's vision of Jesus Christ took place does not change what Jesus Christ declared regarding the dead. That the Spirit of God came down from Heaven after Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven also does not change the declarations made. I am not certain why you are confusing both cases in the way that you do.
2. One rule is never get carried away by the contents of what is a parable....instead look out for and pay attention to the lesson which is typically at the end of the story or like the many false teachers and false prophets out there, you end up chasing the meaningless.
Jesus Christ explained using the character of Abraham that since the people have all been given the Law by which they will all be judged, none will be sent back from the dead to watch the living living addition. If that declaration means absolutely nothing to you, then it means you don't believe God's Law is the eternal/unchangeable Truth that God and Jesus Christ said it is- Matthew 5 vs 17 - 19
3. This again makes no sense to me.
Matthew 5:17-19 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
What happened in the case of Lazarus and the rich man was not a declaration neither is it a law. It was an instance of destination of man after his sojourn on Earth. That is the subject matter of that story and the focus. The focus was not on declaration of law on modus operandi of sending message from heaven to Earth. These are two separate entities. What you are deducing from the story is just inferences and insinuation. From the days of the old testament it had been God's prerogative to decide on the method of passing information to his people. From time Abraham, prophets, judges, Kings, priest, till the time of the Lord and Holy Spirit. This is the main reason while Jesus made it clear to Peter when he wanted to know what will happen to John the beloved. He made it known that it was His prerogative. It will amount to fallacy of hasty generalization for you to use an instance of an event in the scripture as a declaration of law or doctrine. Ney! The same God who raised the dead, talked through a donkey, send fish on errands, rebuke the wind can do whatever pleases Him. Do away with all teaching you have had on story of Lazarus and the rich man, go over and study it again and meditate after on it
Kobojunkie: The Parable of Lazarus and the Rich man in Luke 16 vs 19 - 31
As I have said in my earlier comment, if that were general rule Jesus would not break it by coming in the Spirit to convert Saul to Paul. The rich man made that request because it thought it would help his kinsmen to easily believe, but the All knowing God said it would not, but in the case of Paul God knew the heart of Paul that it would take a divine encounter to reveal the truth to him. Jesus chose John for Revelation and set him aside from being a martyre for the cross like other Apostles, Jesus is still in the same business today. Heb13:8 God bless you.
Kobojunkie: 1. It doesn't matter what one's experience in this world is. What matters above everything else is the Truth as stated by God Himself, and told us through His prophets.
2. Wrong! Heaven and Hell will not be open to admission until after Jesus Christ returns and then Judges the world - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46. What this means is that only visions of Heaven and Hell are available to us. Now, it makes no sense for a dead person to have a vision of Heaven or Hell... the person is supposed to be dead as a door knob. A vision of Heaven or Hell seen by someone who is alive is one thing, a vision to someone who is supposed to be dead is something entirely different.
3. As Jesus Christ warned, there will be no one sent back from the dead to warn the living. Delusions are just that... delusions.
Please the Bible reference of such warning in no. 3.
Kobojunkie: Jesus Christ appeared to Paul, according to the story. He didn't return from heaven like those who claim to have returned from the dead to warn you of the other side.
2. As for the claim that life after death has been confirmed, well, most of the stories claimed do not conform that revealed in scripture in any way or form. For instance, according to scripture, those who die as unbelievers cease to exist in their graves, whereas those who were born-again in this life, sleep in their graves after their death. So?
3. Careers can be built on delusions/lies. Your many pastors and mogs more than revealed that one can amass wealth even by that, without needing to task oneself in this life.
4. The knowledge you need is that which is written so you can spot the lies wherever they may lie.
You Argument of people building pastoral career on lies is not similar to unbelievers who were experts in medical and science based field, who were doing very well in their field like Apostle Paul but staked everything because of testimony of their experience. They didn't built church afterwards. That's why I used cases in developed world. Many of them were on top of there career and after the experience did not become billionaires because of their testimonies. If God can reveal heavens to people who are not yet dead its a lot easier to do so to those who are proclaimed dead. Then mind you many of them were not naturally dead but clinically dead, for few hour or fell into coma. There was a case of a Nigerian dead four seven days by the nicknamed Lazarus. You can look it up. It happened in Lasuth here in Lagos. Finally, in the case you cited about Lazarus and the rich in the Bible, Jesus did not issue a general statement. The rich requested somebody in a spirit form to go and warn his brothers, but his request was not granted, and it ends there. If that were a general policy Jesus wouldn't have gone in the spirit to covert Paul.
Kobojunkie: Stop allowing men to deceive you with what are lies about Heaven and Hell. Jesus Christ made it clear that no one will be sent back from the dead to warn the living, and no one will be granted entry into Heaven or Hell until after Jesus Christ returns, so where these people claim to go when they die isn't of Truth.
But Jesus came from heaven to convert Saul to Paul. Also phenomenon of after life has been confirmed by mordern science. Evidences were given by non believer top doctors and scientist. In that post that man was a non-believer top pilot in us. Are you say telling lies about hevean experience is more lurative than a career in aviation and medicine in US? Please let us add knowledge to faith.
zaki2: You guys have already made it a tribal war. You have branded Obi different tribal names, from IPOB, Pandora, Obituary anything that will make Obi look more Igbo than Nigerian. Anyway, 2023 will come and go, if we can survive Buhari, na who we no go fit survive.
With his level of maturity if anybody is doing anything against Igbos, it's definitely coming from Tinubu's loyalist and that is understandable and it's not a general opinion. He lived all his life in Lagos and built his career there, if Yorubas were bad would he have been able to do so. All he had achieved in Lagos here, having a bustop named in his name, can he achieve it in Kano? At his age he is not expected to be an ingrate, with due respect.
Mutant001: God is not the old man with white long beards sitting on the throne. That is the artistic representation of God by mankind God is the source of all energy Everything that contains energy is part of God You
Nigerian christians and muslims should embrace the religion of their fore-fathers not the white mans foreign religion In conclusion I leave you with a quote by max muller "He who knows only one religion knows none
That advice may be ok for those who are worshipping religion, given to by their parents, family, friend and society. For those who have had personal encounter with God and have established relationship with him, it is just a mere speculation. The True God revealed himself by calling people to leave their family religion. Starting from Abraham. There is no other unique model there after except the ones that are copying it. That is to know that the true God doesn't belong to anybody's family, He is not a respecter of people's tribe and tongue, He is a God of all.
I address this to all victims of Nigeria in the following categories:
1.Terrorist victms and their loved ones. 2.Kidnapped victims and their loved ones 3.Self determination agitators 4.Lecturers strike victims 5.Police and Law enforcement agents brutality victims. 6.Restructuring agitators 7. Killer Herdsmen victims 8.Nepa victims 9. Diesel victims. 8. Unemployed youths. 9. Battered ecomic victims. 10. 1DP camp residents. You know why, not because Obi is a saint or miracle worker, but we shall get a better platform to PROTEST
This is an unfortunate statement coming from a senior citizen like him. How long will it take SE folks to know how to play politics. The golden opportunity to produce the next president has been thrown to them, yet they are out to burst with their unguarded utterances. If the SW decides for Obi, nobody can stop him, but the way some SE folks are making look like it's a tribal war isn't helping their case at all. The same mistake Ojuku made in 1966, many generation after keeps repeating.
anonimi: Unlike most of the city and state that he loots with Thiefnuibu his godfather, instead of govern If 20 million Lagosians are too "smart" to stop him from wrecking the state like his predecessors since 1999, why won't he look good? If na you nkó?
StagethemTVee: Dino Melaye shows off as he drives out in his $400,000 (N280,000,000) Rolls Royce Phantom. Dino sure knows how to get some attention after the mud slinging between him and Femi Fani Kayode.
We need a short term systemic approach to address Inflation . We need to first settle security like he said but in addition next to that should be food security. The best approach to combat inflation is from supply side. Many shy away from this approach because the think it is a long term process. But agriculture comes to our rescue on this because: 1. It is a common need. 2. It's involves a short term process 3. We have comparative advantage in it. 4. The technology involved is not too complex unlike power or other sectors. If Obi gets in he should get accross he has no problem. We are here for him.
Even if Obi didn't do any project, he is eminiently qualified on the basis of EQUITY. If Nigeria must survive Obi should be the next president else, note it down, it's the beginning of the end of one Nigeria.
Sitwalkstand: The news broke few days ago that U.S government is planning to return another Abacha loot to Nigerian government to the tune of 23 million dollars.
Do you agree that U.S should keep the money till the next government comes?
What is your take?
If indeed US are not behind our predicament, they must hold on to that money and hand over to Obi to start off.
kutashi: According to the Journal of Infection, this is the first known case in which the three viral diseases concurred in one individual An Italian man has been diagnosed with HIV, Covid-19, and monkeypox simultaneously – the first known case of the concurrence of these three viral diseases, the Journal of Infection has reported.
According to an article published by the medical outlet last Friday, the 36-year-old male spent five days in Spain in June this year, developing a fever accompanied by a sore throat, fatigue, and a headache nine days later. A subsequent test yielded a positive result for Covid-19. To make matters worse, a rash appeared on the patient’s left arm soon thereafter, with small, painful vesicles spreading across the man’s body in the following days.
The man sought medical help and was hospitalized in an infectious diseases unit. The patient told doctors that he had had “condomless intercourse with men” during his sojourn in Spain.
Taking into account the appearance of pustules indicative of monkeypox, samples of the liquid contained in the vesicles were sent to be tested for the virus and came back positive as well.
Subsequent tests were carried out to check if the individual was infected with viral hepatitis, herpes simplex, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and lymphogranuloma venereum. None of these sexually transmitted diseases were identified. However, an HIV-1 test did come back positive.
Despite the combination of the dangerous diseases, the treatment administered by Italian doctors saw the patient recover relatively quickly, with visible signs of monkeypox disappearing almost completely within ten days.
The doctors noted that, given the scarcity of evidence, it is hard to tell at this point if this combination of viruses necessarily aggravates a patient’s condition.
The article points out that, given the rapid spread of monkeypox and the continuing Covid-19 pandemic, doctors worldwide should be aware of how the symptoms of these two diseases can overlap and co-exist. The authors also stressed that medical professionals should take note of a patient’s “sexual habits” and travel history. If someone tests positive for monkeypox, a complete screening for other sexually transmitted infections is recommended, the piece concludes.
AntiChristian: You should list what Christianity has brought instead?
All those prayers, vigils, crusades, bus preaching, street preaching, revivals, mass, tract sharing, etc. Of what use has it been?
Someone listed healing and deliverance. Does that mean only Christians are being healed and delivered in Nigeria? This is foolishness as we know miracles happen to non-Christians too. I know many Christians over 40yrs looking for husbands/ fruit of the womb going from one form of crusade, revival, shiloh etc. to another. They went last year. They will still go this year and the next. What about the daily, weekly an monthly ones? Na so so revival, crusades, etc.
A t least they have hope. So thats a huge benefit. That will enable them get over temptation to go into crime, depression, suicide, rituals unlike people like you who have no hope hence are quick to use short cut to sort yourself out. Thus society at large is better off because of Christianity.
