ProgrammingRe: Nigerian Ethical Hackers In Here ---> by wale4x35(m): 6:30am On Jun 02, 2010
@C++,

*  A hacker is a person intensely interested in the arcane and recondite workings of any computer operating system. Most often, hackers are programmers. As such, hackers obtain advanced knowledge of operating systems and programming languages. They may know of holes within systems and the reasons for such holes. Hackers constantly seek further knowledge, freely share what they have discovered, and never, ever intentionally damage data.

    * A cracker is a person who breaks into or otherwise violates the system integrity of remote machines, with malicious intent. Crackers, having gained unauthorized access, destroy vital data, deny legitimate users service, or basically cause problems for their targets. Crackers can easily be identified because their actions are malicious.
So hackers are therefore good people  grin not the evil genius as being seen by most people on earth!

WARNING!!! NOT FOR SENSITIVE VIEWERS!!!

Think the Police in Mexico have used sufficient force in the takedown ??

What would Civil Liberties in Canada or the U.S (or anywhere) think of this?

This is an anti-drug operation in Mexico, nobody got arrested, no need for evidence gathering or court ,  Case Closed!!

Nairaland GeneralRe: Should Arms Be Legalized In Nigeria? by wale4x35(m): 1:20pm On Oct 29, 2007
Even though our population would be drastically reduced by 90%- from 140mil to 14mil.

At the end of the day, sanity would prevail at every quarter of our society. Political offices would be fairly contested for, police oppresion would disappear, politicians would not need special body guards etc. Their would be sanity within our transport system because all bus conductors would have been killed.

There wouldn't be any need for operation fire-for-fire or some sort because their is fire in every home.

Take a look at an African country like South Africa; the only thing missing in their constitution is death penalty - every South African is allowed by law to own a registered firearm and to use it when the need arises.

Please let's all clamour for legalization of firearm and get rid of these "rotten" politicians.

By wait a minute - who would debate and pass the bill into law? the politicans. I promise us all they would never pass the bill because they know that should they pass the bill; THEY ARe TOAST grin grin grin grin grin

BusinessRe: Zimbabwean White Farmers: how are they doing? by wale4x35(op):
Thanks delarontus,
I am happy to hear and read that they are finally settling down.

To the doubting Thomas(es), Nigeria would be great again. Eating 3 square meal is not a concern to an average person on the street in the SADC countries.

If we give all the necessary support to these Zimbs, I am very sure, hunger would definitely be a thing of the past.

Thanks once again delarontus for the feedback.

BusinessWould Privatized Electricity Services Bring Massive Returns? by wale4x35(op):
Big Country, Big MONEY

I was a delegate at the just concluded GSM Africa conference that was held in Cape Town, South Africa.

"Big Country, Big Money" was the answer given by one speaker from Informa Telecoms on why many GSM operators are striving to set their foot in Nigeria.

GSM has really put our beloved country at the forefront of emerging markets in Africa.

Do you think that we can experience the same surge if we privatise other crippled services like NEPA etc?

ProgrammingRe: Programming - What About Newbies Like Me? by wale4x35(m): 12:49pm On Nov 23, 2005
Guys,
I don't usually recommend C/C++ as a programming language of choice to newbies. In fact, I know of 2 people who back-pedalled to learning VB.

C++ is a strongly type language. It's a language that assumes a solid background in maths and logic.
I have written many activex and COM servers for some of my VB developers.

Ask VB developers, they will tell you how they hate interacting with Windows APIs.

If VB was written in C++ and Java tends to be like C/C++, then I would agree to the fact that C/C++ is the mother of them all.

Like I said earlier, if you want speed, power and control over hardware and/or peripherals, if you want to know when to RTS to a device attached to RS-232 port without activex and the likes, then go 4 C/C++.

Regards,
Emmanuel.
