I am a Lagosian and it will be so bias of me to judge Adams Oshiomole based on what I hear or read about him. Like you stated,most of the leaders fail drastically during 2nd term in office. We can only have few exceptions of BRF of Lagos,Mimiko of Ondo etc. If re-elected into office,GEJ may join that category.

However,in my own candid opinion and as an observer of political events,GEJ has good intentions towards making Nigeria better but he's just surrounded by noise-makers ranging from Okupe to Abati to information minister,etc. I just hope,if re-elected,he realises his obvious shortcomings in first 4yrs and give us the chance to celebrate him as,at least,a fair performer.

According to a report by PM News, a graduate of Architecture, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ogunsona Daniel Adekunle Adebambo (pictured above) committed suicide by hanging himself in an uncompleted storey building yesterday January 1st 2014.

According to the report, the body of the 30 year old man was found around 1 a.m. yesterday dangling from a rope tied to the hook of a fan in an uncompleted storey building at 1, Alice Ogunsona Street, Hilltop Estate, Eruwen, Ikorodu. His body was found by his younger brother after reading the suicide not he wrote and left at their home.

The deceased allegedly killed himself because his girlfriend’s father refused to allow him marry his daughter. According to the story, the girlfriend's father, who is from Ondo state, said Bambo couldn't marry his daughter because he's from Ijebu, Ogun State. Some people do not believe that's the reason he killed himself.

A resident of the Hilltop Estate who said he participated in bringing down Adebambo’s body from the ceiling, recalled that he was dead and stiff when they brought him down. "When the family raised an alarm and we came here, he was already foaming in his mouth and his hand was clenched in a fist. This signified that he struggled till he died,” he said.

This 2014 is going to be a very interesting year as political histories are going to be made. Like OAM4J mentioned,the battle against tribalism/bigotry is not won yet,so more work should be done on that so as to produce a more friendly NL forum.

Defection of members of PDP to APC may signal the end of the ruling party. National dialogue may hold but if not properly handled,may be the inception of revolution. The next CBN governor,if not Sanusi's ally,may not adopt his policies. Elections in Osun and Ekiti are still going to be won by APC. GEJ is surely going to reshuffle his cabinets as he's going to discover some betrayals.

However,I seize this opportuinity to wish all members peace and prosperity throughout this new year.

Popular Chinese Movie,Evil cult star actor, Jet Li has confirmed reports that he is being treated of an Over-active thyroid in China.

The 50 year old Chinese actor discussed his diagnosis during the taping of a talent show, where he was a judge. Jet Li however said he was determined to fight the condition head-on.

Li joked about his weight, he said "I'm fat, I don't have the time to lose it. It's a fact!"
