This is a vital update on you all being afraid of using an hotel. A friend who intended to spend 7 days in the UK decided to go for 21days due to the self isolation....he booked an hotel in wallsall for 21 days with 14 days quarantine placed on his hotel reservation for one room and he then have another 7days in another room for his usual program stay. So they issued him two different reservations the same hotel....on the first 14 day reservation he has a monitor name ( a staff of the hotel on it) and mobile number. He arrived yesterday the hotel was called and the guy picked up and he is good now....he is in self isolation in the hotel cos he got to the UK yesterday. He went with Turkish airlines and he arrived in Birmingham airport. |

Thanks house. I am so happy with the comments I am getting this will be of great help to him. My next question is that he only said he was going to visit for two weeks but he has spent 5 months. If he decides to leave the UK after 5 months despite having six months visa..I hope he won't be questioned why he stayed 5 months if he is reapplying for uk visa again ? |

Brightingsus: You know the form should be filled only from 48 hours to the date you are due to arrive in the UK. If they wanted a particular location of contact, they would have specified. UK contact should be preferable. What about those with no family or friend in the UK and coming purely as tourists, they still have to provide some contact of which it would be non UK contact. right. Thanks a lot |

Brightingsus: The 14 days would be at the place u go straight to from the airport. From 48 hours to your arrival in the UK, you ought to have completed the Journey and Contact Details form online. You could provide your uncle's address as where you would be isolating. oh yes I got you right right now. Pls give me the link for the form pls. Thank you |

Skymoore1004: Lmaooo. Better carry blanket that you will use to sleep somewhere in the airport .
Jokes apart, they don’t provide accommodation. But there’s a lounge (IGA) that you can pay for a bed (sleepod). It’s not very expensive. I can’t remember the price but about €50 for some hours or so.
Alternatively, you can get an e visa for $50 and explore Istanbul during the 24 hours. Just catch a train from the airport to downtown. At least you can add Turkey to your Travel history hehehe
Anyway, See the pictures below for the sleep pod. a nice idea I will think about which one to go for. |
