Good morning everyone. Is it possible to reprint what was filled on the DS-160 form after several months? If yes, kindly give a guide, please. |

this is for hannover but i know someone that already gotten AL
|
charles2468:Jena mailed me this week saying they received all my necessary application documents on time and they will forward them to the selection committee. No admission for now. May I know if you've gotten admission letter form them? If yes, what course? |
Joodei:This varies, some schools demand you pay per semester, some would want you to pay a percentage (like an upfront); there may also be schools that would want you to pay all (though i don't know such school yet but it doesn't mean they can't be part of the equation). However, read the instruction on the partial-admission email sent to you, I believe it would be clearly stated in the email. If you don't mind, may I know the name of the school, please |
Fatalveli:Amen to that. May I know your course of study? |
Fatalveli:Master's International Economics and Economic Policy and yours? In furtherance to the above, did you get another email as per the housing thingy. |
Same here bro. Only those that are currently with Goethe can correctly advise. Anyone at Goethe Uni should please advise Fatalveli: |
9cguy:Kindly be informed that the content of your filter matters. For instance, if you are looking for courses entirely taught in English, you may be limited when compared to some that is proficient in German language. So your filter may populate 5 schools, while that of this other hypothetical person populate 10. However, there are several other platsforms. You can use Uni-Assist, endeavour to use the filter. |
iretiogo1:Amen, same wishes. |
iretiogo1:Once you get the course of study at daad, on "overview" or "course requirements", there is always a link to the school's website, click on the link to go read about requirements and how to apply. If there is no link on daad, copy the name of the school and course, search on Google, it will take you to the school website, navigate to requirements and how to apply. Depending on school and course, some allow international students to apply directly on the school application portal, while some make use of uni-assist (uni-assist is a central body that assist schools to help verify and convert international students grade and certificate, and compare if it measure up to German approved grade/certificate). Uni-assist also ensures that all requirements are given by foreign students before sending to the school; incomplete documentation won't be sent and would be requested for within deadline. Best regards,, |
GeneviveNnadi:Have you gotten AL from Hannover? If yes, what course? |
Hi ireti, click this link https://www2.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/ Filter based on your preference. Also, let us know where you are stuck or be explicit or expatiate on what you mean by you're stuck (just want to know the exact place you're stuck) I pray the above link helps. |

IOladiplenty:Several people are still waiting. |
Sylvester98:Yeah, I did |
Miguelflacko:Don't send to uni-assist, send via email. Due to this coronavirus, you can send via email; except you wanna send to the school. |
Miscellaneous:Bro/babe, no be everybody get that 75/30 euro; 11 applications implies 375 euro; this no be small money. So, you may just try to help him/her even with just a school that uses its online portal, rather than uni-assist, it will go a long way; to him/her, it is just like say u give an 75 euro. I am in no way attacking you. @Georgy12: Try to read this page, the last page or last 2 pages, you would see my explanation on how to get all the schools with no uni-assist as mediator. Goethe, Postdam and 6 other schools make use of uni-assist but you won't pay as the schools are paying for the uni-assist handling fee. Later when I am less busy, I will post how to navigate; better still, I will post the direct link on how to get the schools on uni-assist; also for some of these schools, not all the courses are are being paid for, while some schools only paid for EU/EEA prospective students. |
Gottingen's AL and rejection are dropping, please check your portal, you would it. |
Miscellaneous:Almost all schools have the caveat stating "you can send in your bachelor certificate later, so far you have your transcript". However, if you don't like what you see on daad, you need to surf more. The next advise I can give is to search via uni-assist. Type Uni-assist list of universities on Google, it will take you to the list, then you can search for your preferred course. But my token, you can also go for related courses; so once you get several admission letters, then you can pick your most preferred course or school. Why going for related courses, it doesn't mean you don't know what you want but sometimes, your most preferred course won't be offered by your most preferred school or those with same caliber, it may be a lower school in caliber that would be offering such course; while sometimes, your preferred schools will offer it but language barrier sets in (except in a case where you understands German to C2, then you know you have no limit whatsoever). THE BELOW IS FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO KNOW SCHOOLS OR COURSES NOT USING USI-ASSIST FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS. The best way to find out is via uni-assist. For those using Computer: You can type Uni-assist list of universities on Google, click on the first link, it will take you to the list of universities OR you can go to www.uni-assist.de/login, click on "my assist" at the top right corner of the page, it will bring out the list of universities. Then, at the left side of the page, you will see the filter, click on advance filter, then go to the last of the options (uni-assist responsible), then click on "no". This will populate the schools and courses not handled by uni-assist. For those using phones (most of us are): You can type Uni-assist list of universities on Google, click on the first link, it will take you to the list of universities OR you can go to www.uni-assist.de/login, then follow the description on the screenshots below (click on the circle part on the screenshot). Then at the top of the page, you will see For those that love shortcuts and wouldn't want to know how to get there, just visit https://my.uni-assist.de click on advance filter at the top corner of the page if you're using mobile phone, then go to the last of the options (uni-assist responsible), then click on "no". This will populate the schools and courses not handled by uni-assist. I hope the help somborri. Apologies for not telling you guys since, I don't just want to counter those saying daad.de is the best, in order not to confuse some people. It is the best though but both get one feature that the other no get; sincerely, daad is the best, e no just get filter for this feature of knowing those that uses online portal and uni-assist (NB: FILTER, not that it doesn't show if school uses uni-assist or not).

This is dicey. My opinion is we should not blame the embassy, neither should we blame those going on Twitter. Why we should not blame the embassy: put into consideration that the EU/Germany made their decision far before this month. And if we look farther, we would see that there was restriction on movement in Nigeria (interstate). If the embassy were to be opened for CAT B interviews far before now, how will those living outside Lagos and Abuja get to embassy for their interviews. Moreover, there was restriction on local flight, until yesterday. So, since the government has relaxed local flight restriction, it makes sense to believe the person that said they may open for CAT B interview on Monday. Why we should not blame those that went on Twitter: All around the world, peaceful protest is the order of the day, just like the ongoing BLM. Let us see theirs as virtual protest due to the on-going coronavirus. I am not against what they are doing so far it is guided and has a solid goal. This call for my question: what is the goal. Is it for the embassy to start sending emails for appointment dates? If that it the case, it was impossible until 8th of July as we had flight restriction locally, don't forget FGN relaxed interstate travels July 1st and German government were not in the know until when FGN announced; they can't wait for our government before they will make theirs, Ghana relaxed theirs (local flight) far before July; hence why Germany inculcated Ghana's when making their decision in June. So in nutshell, they can interview Ghanians even if they are yet to relax international flight ban coz their was no restriction locally. For ours, that was what they thought coz no one knows our govt would relax July 1st, which was same day when embassy of countries under EU were directed to resume; but for Nigerians, if they had decided to call us for interview when we had interstate restriction, how will the person in borno get to Abuja or Lagos; and even if Germany had given the order to call for interviews the next day after FGN announcement of interstate movement, don't forget we had local flight restriction (not everybody can travel that long distance by road due to one or 2 things) The second goal: Is it for us to be able to choose our appointment dates like our counterparts in other countries? If this is the case, it is arguable but not 100%. Our government is not helping, our international profile is not assisting, some of the Nigerians in diaspora are making matter worst and tarnishing the image of the country, just like our so called politician. It is arguable because they can still do something about it rather than making us look less human (if you see it that way; believe me, no one can treat Americans like this); but think about it, if our economy is on point (like China) or thriving to be there (like Rwanda), German govt and EU won't have option but call our government to the table, and address her citizens like Kings and queens. Free education with German tax payers money extended to foreigners is a privilege; and for those with the school of thought that the 10,236 euros (payment into blocked account) is an investment in German economy are also damn right. However, to guys on Twitter, nice work but be guided. Remember there is a thin line between how fine what you are doing is and how bad it can be. If it is bad, is going to affect not just us but generations to come; and if it is a good job, is going to also have effect on generations to come. I believe with no expectation from a seer that they will start calling for interviews next week since our govt already relaxed the local flight restriction yesterday (8th of July, 2020). |
Wonderik:Deggendorf, bochum, th-nurnberg, and many more. Deggendorf is closing July 15; check my response on the last page or 2, it will give you insight. |
Valentinejeco:Yes bro. |
Paul94:Bro, you are mistaken, registration is still much possible for B.Sc courses till July 15th at Deggendorf; apologies, i wasn't explicit enough with regards to the website i gave earlier, though you could navigate through. Find the link to English courses at Deggendorf: https://www.th-deg.de/studying-in-english Find the link to the online application at Deggendorf: https://www3.primuss.de/cgi-bin/bew_anmeldung_v2/index.pl NB: Don't believe most of the deadlines you see on www.daad.de, even on the particular school website, coronavirus changed so many things, so many schools extend deadlines, and some chose online application rather than uni-assist, some even paid for the uni-assist handling fee on behalf of applicants. My advise is, when you see a deadline on a school website, try to surf further on that particular website to know the school's decision on deadline as regards to coronavirus (not only deadline, other requirements too). Also, just because a school application portal has closed is not enough reason to assume others too don close, and not enough reason to differ your admission search to summer semester; surf as much as possible. In furtherance to the above, please use www.daad.de to search for your desired courses; your response above don show say u no surf at all. Please don't let what i just said discourage you from asking questions, ask as much as possible; but also try to surf too. To assist you further, this is the link where to filter on the daad website: https://www2.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/ Lastly, most schools B.Sc application deadline is July 1st to August 20 |
Paul94:Public schools in Germany offers tuition free for most courses Most schools opened July 1st to August 20 (though some have closed). You stand a better chance, though final say is with each school. Deggendorf Institute of Technology would close July 15, so apply as soon as possible (www.th-deg.de). The best way to know the list of these schools is to visit www.daad.de, filter based on your preference |
Bro, 0.5% is the commission on the transaction. That is, 0.5% of the total amount you intend to transfer (0.005 x 10,236 euros) Previously VAT (Value-Added Tax) in Nigeria was 5% but late last year, the federal government of Nigeria increased it to 7.5% and it was implemented this year, hence the 7.5% of the transaction. Later in the day, I will tell you about that of Fidelity Bank, a bit busy to type that now. Don't worry about the calculation (we understand some people don't like even the basic mathematics), you can post your options here and each bank's rate, we would tell you which one is cheaper. Please, nobody should attack them as regards the basic math, just see it as an avenue for us all to learn and know the rates of each bank and which one is way cheaper. |
NUMI05:Bros, it varies; yours was 11days, someone's application was less than 5 days, while other person's maybe longer than the 21 days that you stated. @ everyone here: Until you get a rejection letter, please never lose hope; not just for Jena, but also for other schools. |
Olaidecool:Electrical Engineering and information technology is English taught course but i believe there are some electives in german; hence, they requested for a little knowledge of german, and you guys will write a German placement test upon arrival at the university. My advise are: A. if you have german certificate, upload it B. If you are yet to get the certificate, ignore the upload and send. Though, during assessment, if it is important, they will request for it via email with something like Dear Ms. Olaide, We look forward to your online application for a place at our university. There have been changes in the "Upload documents" area in the last few days. For more information, please log in at the following link: www.primuss.de/status-thd Since the changes can influence participation in the admission process, non-compliance may lead to exclusion from the process. Please take note of the changes immediately so that you can make any corrections on time. Best regards Deggendorf University of Technology Study center C. If you don't have any knowledge of german, i would have said you should apply but due to the German placement test upon arrival, it is dicey; though there are courses at Deggendorf that requires knowledge of German and you can still apply (Industrial Engineering for instance) but they would enroll you for German classes as part of your semester's courses . For Mechatronic and Cyber-Physical Systems, you are good to go

Olaidecool:Bros/sis, apologies, I was super busy yesterday. Today, I will revert on this. |
Neo0991:I got an email with respect to accommodation, that was within 24hours after submitting my application then but yet to get this new email you guys are talking about, though I submitted late, so if this new email differs from the previous, then it may be on rolling basis as I submitted my application late. So bro/sis, take this new email as a source of motivation, it may be a sign that your application is on its way to converting itself to Admission Letter. It shall end in and with praise. |
Kaigheyisi:When I saw you were advised on using DHL, my ribs clapped but on second thought, I concluded there is no harm in trying as things might have changed. UPS is way cheaper, UPS is N19,600 (it usually take 3 working days but because of this Corona thingy, it will take 4 to 5 working days). Please, request for student discount; then the price won't be N19,600 but N15,700 or cheaper. Don't blame the person that earlier advised, he only said what he thought was the best. There may be some other cheaper courier though. But put into consideration the time it will be delivered, the safety of the documents, hope you will be getting prompt up-to-date tracking of the documents per it's location, and several other factors. UPS provides same quality service with DHL. |
Fatalveli:I didn't apply to the school, I only wanted us to address the "semester fee" thingy as it applies to all schools. https://www.uni-bremen.de/en/master Scroll down to the last page, you would see online application, click on it, it will link you to moin.uni-bremen.de blah blah blah Leo2sexy, please assist. |
