Hi Guys.....Anyone had issue of mistake on their vignette? My Wife’s passport number A12345678 was mistakenly wrote 412345678 on her vignette. I have sent paid mail but no response and her flight has been booked already. Your kind advise will be welcome guys

what is the issue

The first alphabet on her passport was changed to digit on her vignette. “A” was replaced with “4”. Instead of A123456 they wrote 423456 as her passport number on her vignette

Hello Guys.....Anyone had issues of error or mistake on their vignette and had to take it back to TLS? Please how long did it take UKVI to correct the mistake and send your passport back to you. Your swift response will be much appreciated.

Please house I need your expert advice, I've not thought of this until now.
Can someone pay tuition deposit for me (UBA) while I present my bank statement which encompasses tuition balance and maintainance fee?

Yes the person can pay for you and you can still use ur bank statement as ur POF. I paid my wife tuition fee deposit and we made use of her account for POF.

Pls how does this paid call to UKVI work? After dialing the number, I was asked to enter my debit/credit card number and then press star; which I did, but it keeps repeating that I do the same thing.
Am I doing anything wrong? Or Can’t my Nigerian debit card work for this?

Urgent responses please. Thank you.

You are doing the right thing but I’m not sure your Naira debit card can work cause i made a call to them today using my dollar card and it went through( i was transferred to an agent to speak with) so i guess you might need a dollar card.

Good evening great minds.

(a) Can the priority fee(220 pounds) be paid in dollars?

(b) Is the price fixed? Or better still can it escalate at any time?

Thanks for your anticipated reply.

Yes you can pay in dollars so far you have a dollar card.

The price is fixed.

Just to give those that are yet to apply for visa heads up. Please if it’s a family application and you don’t have time on your side i will implore you to do priority for yourself and all the dependant, in my own personal opinion i think this is the rush hour period and we are not seeing the days of main applicant (priority) dependant (standard) and all visas comes out once. To me i think they are treating them separately now according to the service you pay for, so to save ourself some stress just do all family application priority or all standard and if you choose the old way you will have to wait for standard days for your dependant. Since you paid for standard, you would have to wait out the 3 weeks, it might even come out sooner. And please don’t take out the proof of funds if it’s the same bank statement you used as that might mess with your own application. I’d say Just be patient

Thanks.....I appreciate

Some update from my end .
Family of Five.

Application date : 22/07/21
Biometrics VI : 23/07/21

Main Applicant : Super Priority
Spouse Dependant : Priority
Children Dependants : Standard

Collection .

Main : 28/07/21(weekend between)- 2 workings days
Spouse(Me) : 30/07/21 -5 working days
Children Nigerian Passport : 09/08/21 -11 working days
US passport : 10/08/21 - 12 working days

Submitted all applications on the 22nd of July, we couldn’t get any date for biometrics close by, but the moment we picked Super Priority for Main and booked for following day, we were able to get close dates for the rest. We all did walk in with main applicants appointment date for biometrics on 23rd July.We didn’t have any stress because the main had an appointment and they allowed us in with her, got in 08:30 we all finished 09:45. 1hr 15mins.

Basically got all our info from the web and Nairaland, I joined Nairaland 2013 when I was looking for info to have our daughter in the US, and got all the info we needed back then too from Nairaland. The information here is priceless mainly because its first hand from people that have gone through or going through same process.

Key points for me, you really don’t need an agent for this process as long as you have internet connection. Whatever info you also get from here, you would do yourself some good if you also search online for better understanding, I am not the student but I literally know the A-Z of obtaining a student visa, because I wanted to know.

Alot of people are mentally lazy, if you use the basic google search and type “how much is Uk student visa in Nigeria” , you would get thousands of hits and if you go through, it would even direct you to Nairaland post about same topic. We have 800+ pages mainly because of repeated questions and lazy questions.

Wifey is the main applicant(Northumbria), she had study gap of 18 years, we didn’t get any not straight forward email and she wasn’t interviewed. She has loads of job experience to cover the gap though . We also have a healthy travel history, combined travel history was 38 US/UK/EU/Dubai, and valid Uk and US.

I am a Pilot, hence I have some basic travel knowledge and all, also why I gave some input in regards best generic days to find cheap tickets to travel. I would have to do some conversion exams if I want to fly in the UK, and that would take a while. So I am still pondering on my best options as per work for me.

We have some very intelligent people here and surely would keep the follow of the page alive on my part. The main beauty is how individuals are willing to help regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender and age, especially those who already got visa’s and are still here helping out,God bless all your hearts.Hopefully we can transcend this vibe into this entity called Nigeria.

Let me add, it’s ok not to know some basic issues because as individuals we learn and grow everyday. So when in doubt, please ask. Whats not ok is giving out advise you are not sure about. It’s better to remain quiet and observe than to mislead, there exist consequences on the part of the person you are giving that misinformation. No one human is an island of knowlegde, and as long as you are willing to learn you would keep adding to your life. Wish everyone the best in your quest to better yourself and your families.I am Open to any questions about our process.

And don’t forget to give a good representation of yourself when out there in the UK, we owe those coming behind a chance to also use the process. In lay man’s word, “DONT Bleep IT UP FOR THE NEXT SET OF APPLICANTS”

@babababy Congratulations....

Nice write up, nice choice of words....Good one.
1. You opted for standard. I suggest you wait the days out. People you read about are an exception not the rule. Please also paid priority and got collection more than 5 days after.

2. Leave the funds until you get a decision for everyone please.

3. Do not bother about paid email for now. It is obvious it was treated differently.

My suggestions, but No 2 is important.

You did standard. Standard takes about 14 or 15 working days. Some people were only lucky to have it considered at the same time

@ccurie thanks for your response. So what do you advise ? I should wait till the standard days is completed and see what happens right.

@Justwise @scobby007 and to all the gurus in the house

Please i need you advise on this. I did my biometrics alongside my wife on the 2nd August at TLS VI, i did priority for my wife( main applicant) and standard for myself (dependant). My wife received collection mail yesterday and i’m yet to receive any mail as my application is still showing “Application received by DMC”, my question is can i take out some out of the funds i used as pof for her cause all the money was put in my wife’s account? 2. Can i send a paid mail to know if decision has been made on my application? 3. Is it possible they treated our case differently cause most times as i have seen on here that most family’s application come out almost the same time . Kindly please advise as ur kind advise will be much appreciated.

Wait o! Why is everyone using VI TLS center na? Is that the rate of visa approval is high or what?

Bro i guess people are choosing VI center cause walk in there is still okay compared to Ikeja TLS. I know of someone that got to IKeja TLS as early as 4am and he’s on Number 35 on the list, but with VI center if you get there 6am i assure you will make 1-10 on the list.

@teeboi77...My advise is yourself and your wife really need to take either of the two decision which are 1. She should defer the admission till next year September intake or 2. She should not go for the training . Reason is based on the fact that by the time she’s through with the course by December her company might tell her to sign a bond and she might not be able to leave straightaway ( i.e Jan admission not possible again) and also if she finishes the course and leave, this will generate some kind of fracas/ issues between her and her boss and eventually when she gets to the UK to work with the branch they will need her reference letter from the Nigeria branch then it becomes complicated cause that boss might not write something good of her. So it’s really dicey ( either she opt out of the training and give excuses and when she gets to the UK the branch there might train her or attend the training and defer admission till next year September )

Good day house, anyone done biometrics at tls Ikeja or VI this week?
Please what’s the situation for walk-in at both centres as I intend applying this week and want to know the centre to choose.
Your advice would be appreciated...thanks

I will advise you use the VI centre but you have to get to the VI centre early enough( like 5:30am- 6am) and try to make sure you fall between number 1-10 on the list for that day. With that you are good to go. Usually they do start walk in with the persons left on the previous day list so it’s when they are done with the previous day before they start with the present day list. If you need further questions i’m here to help out

Good evening everyone in the house.
I want to make Visa and IHS payments of over $7000
For a family of 3. Please how do I make these payments? I'm absolutely clueless about how to go about it as I heard that there are limits on the Dollar cards.
Please help.

You don’t have to worry as there is no limit on dollar card. The challenge here is you need to have a dollar account where you will pay in the 7000$, then you transfer from that dollar account to your dollar card account . The two account are separate account

Just to share and enlighten people my experience, i visited Ikeja TLS yesterday and to be sincere the experience was horrible. People have to get there as early as 4am to write down names, out of 50 names Ikeja TLS might attend to 20 persons or 30 max for the day but the funniest part is the remaining persons that are unattended to do not know their fate for the next day if they will be call first or Ikeja TLS rep will make use of a fresh list the next day.

Now I’m presently at TLS VI office, as at 7am i met like 15 people on ground for walk in who have written their names and also the unattended person for yesterday walk in were on ground as well. TLS VI rep came out and call people for 8am appointment and after that he called people who were unattended to yesterday in as well and i was amazed how organized fhey were than Ikeja TLS. Personally TLS VI is much better just the additional funds one has to pay to achieve this mission. Still waiting for CAS from Middlesex University sha, just trying to weigh my options to know the TLS center i will use for my Visa application.

Well done, I've been following this thread from the beginning too and I'm one of the success stories.
I pray that you get your visa and everything works out fine for you and everyone on this thread looking to travel.

My advice for you on the TB test is to get to the IOM centre early irrespective of the time you booked so that you and yours can get settled on time. Make sure you have all the necessary documents (intl passport, proof of payment, and passport photographs) at hand so that you don't have to start looking for places to print and stuffs like that.
Another tip is that if you have a car, don't go with it, instead go with uber or another mode of transport to prevent you from wasting precious time looking for a parking spot (However, you might be able to get a parking spot for 500 from boys). The whole TB test process took me about 3 hours from start to waiting to finish but it was worth it in the end and I got my result immediately.

Feel free to ask me any question on the thread as I'm currently in London and might be able to give you some answers about life after you get your visa.
Good luck!!!

Boss i need your input, please enlighten me more about TB test date swap. Does it mean i will take another person's print out to their centre knowing that it bears the person's Reference Number and also how do i make payment in tht kind of scenario
