suxes2005: You can lie for Africa !
Why now?
There are countless number of schools that does not ask for school fees in the US
Read and read and read and read this thread
All the best Don't mind him, some people will come here and post something funny.. I am sure that it was an agent who told him that and he felt that the agent will make cool cash out of him so he decided to come here then use scope to ask indirectly thinking that people here are dullard |

Daodudavid: Hello guys I need your help with an important information, I should this is my first request on naira land: I currently want to apply for student visa and I have been finding it difficult to get a school online in USA that does not demand school fees payment upfront before awarding 1-20form, to be more direct and precise I want to get admission without paying school fees yet and use the admission to get my student visa, so please admin or any person that is in position to help me with the any school he or she knows that does that should please help me out.. I urgently need this info... thanks Firstly, Lemme assume that it was an agent who told you that you need to pay upfront before schools in USA issue i20 and you felt that the agent wanted to make money out of you and that is why you asked this question because If truly you searched for school, I am certain and sure that you will get schools who won't ask for upfront payment before they issue your I20.. For you to say you have been finding it so hard to get schools who won't ask for upfront, I believe you have searched for weeks and you have seen over 20 schools who asked you to pay upfront before they will issue i20 for you if I am not wrong with my theory. Well I must tell you that 0.000000000001 percent of schools in USA will ask you to pay upfront before issuing i20 for you and it's very rare to see those kind schools in your online research. |

DareFadi: Maybe you misread it . Schools do not demand for upfront payment instead they request for evidence of fund such as bank statement to prove you or sponsor can afford the fees . That is what is requested to release i20 and not to actually pay the school fees There are some schools in US who asked for deposit fee of $250 to $450 before they will issue i20 to their admitted student and that money is commitment fee for housing deposit and they said its refundable, although some of these schools asked for the housing deposits but if you tell them to waive until you arrive they will issue the I20 while some will say they can't waive it and if you don't pay no i20. I could remember a guy on this thread and I don't know if he still show up like before, according to what he told me his school asked him to make tuition deposit before they can issue his i20 for him, it was after he the payment the school issued the i20 for him and the school is located in Florida and he was granted visa and the VO asked him during his interview the receipt of the payment since it was stated on his i20 that he paid some amount of money. |

youngmoney416: Can the school send the sevis number to me via email before forwarding the I-20 to me in order not to delay for the nearest available dates for appointment. Yes just ask them to send you scan copy of your I20 or send you the sevis number and school code that you need it to book visa appointment and pay Sevis fee.. |

Can I fill my DS-190 and book appointment before paying visa fee and waiting for my I-20 to arrive. Sure you can but make sure you get all the details on your i20 such as sevis number because you will need it to book appointment and fill ds160 The disadvantage is that if you didn't get your i20 before the interview date you will lose your visa fee or you cancel it three days before the interview and rebook again.. |

oluwafemikolade: Congrats to you @ rosasparks. I like your short and brief interview. I hope the VOs in Abuja consulate are not strict? Because his/her interview was short doesn't mean that the next or other applicant interview will be short because all applicant interview are UNIQUE just as their profile too. |

rosasparks: I had to join Nairaland to post my transcript because I've been reading everything from part 2 and the amount of confidence I gained from reading and analyzing transcripts really helped me with my interview. My interview was this morning. 9am appointment at Abuja consulate. My visa was approved and no documents were asked. The interview was quite short.
VO: Please come forward ma'am. I like your dress. Me: *smiles* Thank you VO: So you're going to UConn? Me: That's correct VO: What do you want to be in the future? Me: I want to be a health management consultant. I understand that majority of the problems we face in our health sector in Nigeria is as a result of poor management... VO: *cuts me off* Who's paying for this? Me: My father VO: What does he do? Me: He's a recently retired manager in Bleep oil company, but he's on monthly pension which is the same as his salary. VO: What oil company again? Me: Bleep oil company VO: Okay so do you have any siblings currently studying in the US Me: *pauses for a second* Yes, I have a sister who's on F-1 VO: What exactly does she do right now? Me: She's on OPT, working with Bleep VO: Ma'am your visa has been approved. You'll need this to pick your passport.
Thank you guys so much and keep up the amazing work. Let's give all the thanks to God.. Congrats and enjoy your stay in Obamaland.. Are you going for Undergraduate or graduate studies ? |

PussySandie: Recently, Mr Justwise has been using the word pussyfooting (nice vocab tho) everywhere. I guess he got that word pūssy from my moniker. OK for clarification, P in the word spelt stands for my third name and "ussy" is an abbreviation of my surname "Ussien". My name is Sandra. I got alot of PMs cos people think I'm a pūssy. hmmmmmmm Nah wah ooooo... Remember that they pm you because the way you created your moniker |

tomisinobm: If I understood his question, now that he has a full tuition scholarship. He shouldn't have problem regarding finances as the value of the scholarship would be indicated on his i20. Yes he shouldn't have problem regarding finances but there are some cases of those with full scholarship yet they were denied. As for his case, He only posted the surface and not the deep because he might thought he was denied because of finances but who knows if he didnt perform well in other questions and that was why i asked him/her to post the 4 interview transcripts so that people can help him shed more light and advice him better |
