akaymotus: Dear all, I have been following this thread and I must say u guys are great! Weldone and congrats to those that got their visa approved.
Please i want to make some enquiries and i need all the help I can get in terms of advice, I just received my I 20 but despite the fact that I wrote to defer my admission and got confirmation mail from the admission officer that my admission has been deferred to January, the I 20 i just received carries August 22 as my resumption date. Should I inform the graduate office immediately or should I proceed with my visa application and then leave Nigeria in January if approved? If I decide to go ahead with the visa application based on the I 20 i have now, will I have problem at the POE when entering the US in January?.
I will appreciate your quick response and advice. Since your have deferred till spring, I will suggest that you contact your school to send you an updated I-20 and by September ending or October you can apply for your visa interview and you can still leave Nigeria to US in January 2017 |

mcselasie: HELLO guys. I have been refused 4 times based on financies, now I have a full scholarship with the same school. my SAT IS 1820. Any advice for my interview? I will advice you to post the transcript from your denial so that people here and help you out by checking things out and advice you more on what to do.. Also it is two way ANOVA, it is either you go now with the full scholarship which can boost your chance and get the visa in your 5th interview or you go for interview after 6 months so that the VO who will interview you can consider the gap and ask you what has changed since your last interview. The choice is yours.. Wishing you the best |

oluwafemikolade: Hello House, I would like to hear your thought about Private Universities in the US. Does the US Embassy here in Nigeria recognises such universities, and approve visa for admitted students into the Graduate Program of such private university. Thanks All schools in the US are recognized by the VO at the US embassy.. They grant VISA to applicants who applied to private universities provide the applicants prove to them during their interview why such school, course etc |

Ekofisk: Hi all,
I've got a question with respect to my F1 interview scheduled for early July. The proof of financial support provided by my sponsor's bank is a one-page Balance Certificate addressed to the consulate and showing the available alone. I'll like to know if this will be acceptable? How important is the evidence of cash flow? The bank in question isn't domiciled in Nigeria and it took a week and quite a lot of money to ship the document. Cash flow is very important and I hope is not a fixed deposit account |

Hmmmmmm What is wrong if you read from previous parts to learn something good, unique, interesting and so on that will help you more than what people will say in the recent part Anyway don't forget that no knowledge is lost.. |

Toche1: Please urgent info 'what test is known as compass test?' Is it conducted in naija ACT Compass is an untimed, computerized test that helps your college evaluate your skills and place you into appropriate courses. ACT Compass offers tests in reading, writing, math, writing essay, and English as a Second Language (ESL). You can get more info from act.org and I am not sure if the exam is conducted in Nigeria but SAT is conducted in Nigeria Some school make use of SAT or ACT, I am sure if you tell your school that you have SAT then no need of writing ACT |

I have a blog which is over a year but Google AdSense had refused to approve it but I used the same blog to register for USA AdSense and it was approved in less than 2days. So do you advice me to keep on waiting for them?? seems Google don't just like us. Google knew why they don't approved it due to misuse, violation of privacy, unconfirmed news and so on that you bloggers spread around here in Nigeria.... No be so |

sputos: I have continually read people's post on this trend and prepared hard for possible questions and best possible answer.
I was however refused after so much preparation. Interview transcript below
VO: What are you going to do in the US Me; I am going for Masters in Business Administration
VO: What are you doing now? Me: I am customer care executive working with U-connect Niigeria Ltd
VO: Who is sponsoring you? Me; I am sponsoring myself
VO: If you complete your programme , what will u be doing when you come back Me; I am taking a study leave and will be coming back to continue my job.
VO: What are the courses you will be doing? Me: International Biz and soceity, Quantitative methods, Biz research methods
VO; she started typing for long and gave me the blue paper.
No document asked at all. I had all my documents; Letter from my employers confirming I applied for study leave, Bank statement, payslips for 7months, Letter of employment for present and previous work place, Academic certificates, My marraige certificate and son's birth certificate.
Behold was another guy beside me shaking as he was answering questions from male VO and was granted his visa.
I intend applying again b4 my school resumes in August. Any advise You bleep up here and I believe that's where the VO made the final decision. You gave wrong answer to the bold.. How will you take study leave again when you just returned and finished one study leave? It sounds strange.. Just reason the bold words very well.. In your next interview understand the questions before you give an answer |
Romance › Re: My Fiancee Confessed She's HIV+ After I Proposed To Her. Please, Help by Walspring: 10:32pm On Jun 19, 2016 |
Gasout: Good evening members in the house. I purposely brought this topic to this section (family) cos I blive i'll have a mature responses and contributions.
I'll try to be brief as possible. I met this lady 2014 but we started dating November last year. It took her a whole year for her to accept dating me.
But then, she told me that, there is something she will tell any man who desire to marry her bt, depend on the level of seriousness of the man.
Then, I took what she planned telling her hubby to be as nothing serious nt until d relationship began to wax stronger. After being in the relationship for a while, I discovered she posses virtually all d qualities I desire in a lady and wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life with her.
I tried to make her tell me what she has in mind that she plan to tell her hubby to be, she refused. At this stage, our both parents re aware of our relationship and we planned to have our INTRO this June.
I proposed to her last week, she accepted and busted to tears. Initially, I thought it was a tears of joy, nt knowing it was something entirely different from my thought.
I took her home with different feelings within me since she couldn't stop crying. When we got to their house b4 she alighted, she hold my hands and told me me 'she's HIV positive'
I was startled for minutes. She said I should think about it if I still want the relationship.
I have make enquiries from Doctors if both of us can marry and He said yes Bt the am nt still convince. Please, Nairalanders, I need ur sincere advice on this issue... Gasout: We've both gone for test Gasout: Yes sir and mine is negative. But, the Doctor asked me to come for another test next 3 month. Note: we only had protected sex just once Hmmmmmm.. No iota of truth in this story.. Lemme ask you this someone you proposed to last week asked you to go and think about it, how come you are able to convince her to go and do test with you that same week Bros you no try at all with this your levels oo |
