ddbluv: Pls advice what steps to take. My plane is about leaving to my final destination from dubai - JFK - buffalo. However I have only $600 on me though I have money on my master card. Something happened on Friday that posses me off, most banks told me they wernt selling PTA. 1st bank directed me to Oba Akran & assured me I'll get, on getting there they told me they don't have. I later went to my 2nd bank after touring the whole banks on Allen & Oba Alan Ikeja. The Customer care told me they sold $ & they had upto $4000 available, she called the manager on fone and she confirmed it but she said they would close the portal by 2pm. Time was 1:30 but the money was in Gtbank close by. I had no Internet so hurriedly went to gt to do Internet transfer then rushed back & submitted all necessary docs just b4 2pm. The cc then told me the money hadn't reflected cos it was my access acct that would be debited. I hurriedly ran to withdraw 800k cash but saw the credit alert on my access acct. To cut long story, after scanning all my docs which was well past 2pm around 2:20 they still uploaded my docs online, the manager them said they don't have upto 4k. That she has $200 . I knew she was playing games as she had seen I was travelling wkend and won't b around on Monday, I rapped her to sell for me even @ higher price say 205 cos she knew I was desperate. Also told her that she didn't tell me all this till she took my info. She then said she'll check & later said she had additional $1k. I waited till 3pm b4 she changed mouth and said the portal had closed. I was like u didn't know it has passed 2 since but yet you took all my info so u can buy it with my info and sell to aboki later. GUYS, I just wanna stop her from using my info to buy @ 200 and sell to aboki. Her name is omotayo olarenwaju @ access Allen branch. Not so sure about her first name sha. Pls advice My advice is to para for them in that bank and let their head office be aware of it... There is one unique line in each ban that you can call and report any of their staff for wasting your time and not treating you well but the sad thing about this is that the staff could be sack and i dont think you want that staff to be sackedBut you can shaka her that you will report her for wasting your time maybe she will cooperate |

ejirostephen: Good morning guud people. I had my Visa interview in dec 2014 and was put on administrative processing. Status was recently updated in July but admin. processing continue and i was told they will get back to me when they are through. Note, the interview went well and ll documents including my passport were given back to me. Now, with this process still in progress, can i apply for a visiting visa (one week stay). I am a working class and certainly would get a backing letter from my office but dont want to complicate issues.Hence, this question. Thanks all. I suggest you wait till the outcome of your AP or you call th embassy because if applying for new visa category the embassy will tell you that you have open case with them and I hope that won't raise alarm of intending migrant.. |

LagosNIV: There is no definite timeline on getting through the hiring process for the MAVNI program. As I mentioned, it all depends on recruiting cycles. If they need more people they will hire faster - if they don't there will be delays. After you officially enlist in the military the process takes around 10 more weeks until you become a citizen.
Some other things to keep in mind - you are most likely on a 4-year term of enlistment. As others have mentioned, you may get deployed to a warzone as part of that obligation. I wouldn't let that discourage anyone. I went to war twice and came back fine, and I was a combat soldier on the front line as well. The benefits are that you will get expedited citizenship, training, and have steady employment for the duration of your enlistment. You may even enjoy it and decide to stay for a full career.
The first step is to talk to a recruiter - they will have the most up to date information about how quickly recruitment cycles are moving. @Bold Nice one and its good to know that you went to war and came back and conquer.. |

slimmy05: Please, a friend brother has D7 in maths but with distinction and credits in other subjects, what are his chances of undergraduate admission? walspring, amanze, pcbo and other guru's He will get admission but his course of study will determine that.. Some schools might ask him to write SAT because of the D7 in mathematics and if he can meet up with the Math score requirement for the school, then he will be granted admission.. |

brosdoncome: I paid for my FI visa appointment fee yesterday for visa interview meant to be scheduled for 10th of August at the Abuja Embassy. The thing is, up till date, the MRV receipt number keeps on saying, 'No valid record can be found for the entered receipt number'. Please how long does it take for the receipt number to be activated? I plan traveling to Abuja today but this issue is delaying me. What do I do? Its instant activation. If you get an error like that, it implies two things either its has been blocked for a particular reason or you have mistakenly used it anyhow or somehow.. Try and email them and ask question concerning why you got the message of NO VALID RECORD CAN BE FOUND FOR THE ENTERED RECEIPT NUMBER |

Sorbital: Told them in order to. Meet up with the resumption date for classes.... I referred to the i-20 as well.
In their exact words:
"Dear U.S. Visa Applicant,
Thank you for contacting the U.S. Embassy/Consulate. Your request for permission to schedule an emergency appointment has been reviewed. We regret to inform you that your request has been denied.
Please visit our website at www.ustraveldocs.com for FAQs regarding requirements for emergency appointments.
Please find the details for denial:
Thank you, The U.S. Embassy/Consulate" I will advice you to do night vigil and be checking available date because some folks will still cancel their date |

makinde851: look for an agent they will help you reschedule another persons own to create space for you it might cost yu 20k tho Why sending this person to agent when he can do it himself.. No agent can get him his desired date because at the end they will use emergency request for him and he has already used the option. I will advice him to just do night vigil and be checking available date because some folks will still cancel their date |
