Iblad0994: Hi guru's in the house.. I got admitted to North Carolina A&T state uni for master's in industrial engineering. I already have my I-20 with me and I will be booking my visa interview soon. I haven't completed my NYSC yet . I'll be completing by October . Please if the VO ask me at the visa interview where I'm working or if I completed NYSC , please what should be the ideal response . Thanks Say the truth and you get the visa and the VO will think maybe after visa granted you can defer till spring because I have seen someone granted visa few days to resumption and VO advised her to defer if she can't get extension letter from the school since visa will come out after school resumed |

DoTheNeedful: Hello V.O,
I just realized that I made a mistake while filling my DS-160 form. I mistakenly entered my current place of residence as my place of birth. I have my place of birth correctly entered on my passport but as it is now, what I have on my DS-160 form is different in that regard. I have already booked a date for my visa interview with this same DS-160 form. I will like to know your opinion about this. Will it affect my visa application negatively? What can I do? My place of birth is Ogun but I mistakenly entered Lagos. Thank you. Go and fill a new ds160 and correct it then go back to appointment page and use the feedback option to email them to help edit and insert your new ds160 code.. After everything is done then you go ahead and print out a new appointment confirmation for your interview. In less than 2-3 days this will be done for you but be ready to upload new ds160 and data page for them to get it done for you as soon as possible and also indicate your interview date if it's getting close so that the person can get it done for you as soon as possible |

lofty900: So u believe that tb Joshua is more popular than pastor Chris? Go and read his profile. Pastor Chris is the only Nigerian pastor to pull a crowd of over one million people in a single night program (night of bliss) Nigerian government banned him from using the stadium because of the stampede and traffic his programs generates Really? Try and find out about Lekki 98 program then you will reverse this statement I might be young then but the crowd was over 2 million people attended the program |

towbaynah: Good day, everybody.
I noticed that people who got approved so far have had some form of work experience. I understand that being successful at the visa interview depends on your ability to give a plausible reply to questions asked. My case however, seems dicey:
Finished first degree 2013, went for NYSC, 2014. Enrolled for Masters, finished 2016. Now I've been offered admission into another Masters degree. I hear this is a red flag. How can I make a strong argument to defend my going to the US for another Masters? Also, would it hurt my chances that I have no work experience? Doing another master is another field is not a red flag, just be ready to explain to the VO why doing another master degree |

freslinkz: Good day all. I am awaiting I-20 from Boston University for masters in financial management. My concern is that the combined amount for the 12month program (estimated) is $80,000. My second option is University of Missouri Kansas City, with a lower combined amount of $32,000. Please I need advice, as my heart and mind loves BU. I guess your school is a private university but you know your pocket more than anyone here and I don't think you want to start a Journey you won't complete just because of fund.. Think twice ooo |

topdee: Hello all, I want to confirm this: In the visa application form (not DS-160) there is a portion asking for First name and Surname, no provision for middle name. Does one write First name together with middle name in that space? No but if you want your middle name to be there you will need to send them a message via the feedback option and attach scan copy of your international passport data and it will be done for you |

toluene1234: @LagosismyHome ,walspring.
Please is it possible to transfer from one from to another in d usa without GRE and toefl and still make it for assistantship. I will explain better. If I gain admission to school A without GRE and English test, then after 1st term or semester in school A, I decide to transfer to School B which originally requires GRE and English test for admission and assistantship. How possible is School B admitting me and apply for assistantship? Or should I go ahead and write both exams and keep my scores probably later in future. I hope you understand my questions
Please advise.
Thanks As long as you meet the transfer application and admission requirement it is possible |

mzjennypher: Dear gurus please i applied for visit visa last year but now i am considering applying for study visa. please wld my last application affect my study visa application? I assumed your visiting visa was denied and that was why you didn't complete your story here. If you can explain better and prove to the VO that your intention is to attend school for real in your next interview then it won't affect your application |
