Hello, everyone.. i have been following this trend for a while now, and i must say this forum helped me a lot in getting my f1 visa this morning at the Lagos consulate...

my interview was for 6 30am today .. fast forward to the transcript cos i no sabi talk too much

me; good morning with a wonderful smile
vo; are you going to study too? *frowns face* like say i dey owe am..

me: yes i am * i frown my on face too* looking straight into her eyes
vo; what school and course

me; business administration with a concentration in international business.. at Lincoln university Oakland California
vo; why international business?

me; well i work in a very competitive organization, and for anyone to get a promotion you would need an added educational qualification, i want the best for my self and since i already have a bs.c in business admin i decided to stay in my area of interest.

vo; why this school?
me; it was recommended to me by a prof in my the university were i had my bs.c and also the tuition is very much inline with my mums budget for my studies..

vo; what school
me; HNAUB

vo; what does your mum do?
me; she is a business woman, she has a manufacturing company the deals on plastic chairs, tables , plumbing pipes, and also sales and distribution of building materials..

vo; have you traveled outside of Nigeria before
me; yes to the UK

vo; are you married;
me; no

vo; any child?
me; no

vo; do you stay with your parents presently
me; yes i do

vo; OK i would be approving your visa* at this point i didn't hear nothing again, *my ears went on auto deafness.* passes my i-20 to me and the white paper..
me; Thank you.. na so i bounce commot

no documents asked. i didn't write any single exam, my GP IN SCHOOL was 2.50/4.. i did everything with faith and i didn't put all my hope on the visa, so i was very relaxed even in the midst of the denials, i still composed my self, looked straight into her eyes from start to finish.. in all, confidence is the key ,yes i was nervous when i started seeing blue paper from left to right, but i stayed calm, and i spoke with so much confidence and am sure no single person behind me heard my transcript cos i didn't have to shout to impress the vo i spoke my mind and that did it for me... am only 23 but i am over 6ft and i look way older than my age. i think that played a Little in me being calm and relaxed...

please anyone going to lincoln uni in Oakland or California , abeg kindly holla at me..

once again a very big thank you to you all, God bless you all bountifully . i am really grateful
Congrats and enjoy your stay in Obamaland

Red Flag schools have a higher loan default rate than graduation rate. This list of 265 schools does not include schools with fewer than 250 students, or fewer than 30 percent of students taking out loans. A minimum of 100 students are repaying loans.

Hello wonderful people of nairaland.... I am having serious difficulties with SEVIS fee payment.... I have tried reading through several threads on nairaland and I saw people mentioning mysevisfeepayment.com and etrworld.com while some others mentioned Ecobank at seme border. Please help me with info on this, even the bank has not been able to help with western union payment. They said SEVIS is not on the list of those that are being paid from Nigeria.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Paying sevis fee is either someone pay for you in US or you go to cotonou and make the payment but get ready to overcome the stress

You can't pay sevis fee from Nigeria...

Hello! I have been following this thread for time now and I feel is time to ask my question. Please don't get me wrong because i want to ask my question in all honesty. I just left uni few weeks ago and sincerely my cgpa is nothing to write home about because is very bad as in very bad. These was as a result of my complication from pregnancy to eventual premature baby etc, I failed all my exams because I didn't want to pause my education as of that time. My result is not good to use to apply for MSc into an American uni. Please can I start afresh and use my o level for admission into usa uni. And pls remained me again which schl is better and affordable (I have forgotten what I read in the previous threads) I am 24yrs and my o level was written in 2010. Thanks
With your age, is not bad applying for new Bsc but you need to tell VO what you have doing since you left high school in 2010.

It's always a "friend" grin
Meanwhile, it is possible to have it changed but I wouldn't encourage that as the process can be complicated. I'd advice you(your friend grin ) to honour the terms of your B1/B2 visa and come back home to apply to an Student's visa. Don't worry about being rejected, you won't.

I have a friend currently in the states on a visitor visa and she has an acceptance letter from a college in US. Is it possible for her to change her visitor visa to student visa from inside the US?
Just tell your friend to come back to Nigeria and apply because she already have a better edge it wont be stressful at all and her visiting could be one of the reason how she knew the school and why the school as well and many more... I wont say more than this
