brightify: The time is too close,I pray you meet up,but is just too close, there might be any delay, and JFK airport is always busy, and before you go through the CBP officer might take you a lot of time because of the long queue,so if possible you can reschedule the flight is better, and I also think if you miss your flight they will put you to the next available flight to your destination She will meet up since its still same turkey she will be channel directly to another plane passing another route and checking wont take long |

kenniez26: Flight schedule.Lagos to ataturk airport in turkey is from 22:45 to 7:20am. Then from ataturk to jf Kennedy is 8:25 to 11:50.my problem now is the 1 hour 5 minutes different in the connecting flight.am just thinking that is not enough to connect another flight. What are those things I have to do for me not to miss the second flight in case the first flight schedule did not arrive ataturk on time.
Lagosismyhome, walspring I don't think you will miss it because you will be channel to the next flight directly since turkey its not your final destination.. The only thing am concern is that your luggage.. |

Timi1990: Since the day i paid Sevis i couldnot sleep well. All i could think of is Nov 15th, US embassy, VO questions etc. Fast forward to the embassy gate, i saw so many huslers around calling customers to come and print, staple , take passport and all. I did the normal screening and my transcript goes like this :
Me: good morning ma Vo: *frown face* she didnt answer Vo: Why are you goin to the US ? Me: am going for my masters in international relations with specialization on National security at Troy university alabama. This course will enable me understand the nature of relations between states and the role played by international organisations. Vo: *still frowning face* what's your plan after school? Me: i'll be coming back home to take a research job with the ministry of foreign affairs *vo cuts in * Vo: have you ever travel out before ? Me: No Vo: why ? ? Me : *am not prepared for dis kind of question o* i have nothing to do outside the country, its my education that's taking me out for the first time. Vo: who's you sponsor Me: my dad Vo: what does he do ? Me: he's a businessman and also *vo cuts in* Vo: have this, i'll be approving your visa . *i sharply collect am ready to fly comot * hold on you'll be needing your i-20 at the POE to avoid issues with immigration. * i no even answer her* Jump out of the room anf give thanks to baba God. its been God all the way. I knw my response wasnt that outstanding but God did it. One tip i learnt . Always maintain eye contact with the vo.
Thanks everyone . Lagosismyhome, walspring, femi321 etc Congrats and enjoy your stay in Obamaland In all let's give the thanks to God |

DeeTus: When a VO is moving on a higher frequency , the best way to slow him or her down is to say you are very nervous.
He or she will take it easy on him and you can intelligently divert his or her attention with regard to the situation. Nice OT and some folks need to learn and take note of this |

OGreene: Haaa, cancel B1 visa, havent heard that before.
i thought if i have an existing B1 visa (for 5-yrs) and later get F1, i can resume with the F1 and still hv my B1 reading.
Please clarify I don't know when they start issuing B1 visa for 5 years but you can't have both b1 and f1 at the same time because one has to bow down for one at the POE You will need to take one either F1 or B1, I could remember someone who flew down few months ago, according to her, her B1 was canceled since she is going for studying and the student visa is what she will be using since that's her new status.. I hope I explain it better ? |
