MadPolitician:So basically you're saying in the year 2300 everything good will still be because of whites in SA. Blacks contribute nothing. Ok, i get you.🇳🇬👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 Keep wailing in your sleep. Rwanda, Botswana, Ethiopia are doing great without whites. Its only SA depending on whites. ENVY/ JEALOUSY 🇳🇬👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾😂😂😂😂 |
MadPolitician:You mean like how black SA has aligned with BRICS countries and is vocal for Palestine against the wishes of the West? This while Nigeria twiddles its thumbs. Keep dreaming all of you - black SA keeps you up at night - clearly 🇳🇬👎🏾😂😂😂😂 |
jUeLiZ:The automatic recipient of the Security Council permanent seat with veto power. The others can scramble for the other African seat 🇿🇦🏆🏆🏆 |

The City of Joburg is proposing to rename Sandton Drive to Leila Khaled Drive, continuing the trend of renaming key roads in the city. The city invited comments from interested and affected parties, who have 28 days to respond. The proposal comes a year after another key road, William Nicole Drive, was renamed Winnie Mandela Drive on September 23, 2023. Notably, it is not the first time the name change has been put forward. The change was proposed in 2018, supported by the majority of councillors. However, according to City of Joburg ward councillor Martin Williams, the proposal had been altered post-approval, which may open it up to legal challenges. He said that Al Jama-ah, seconded by the ANC, initially proposed renaming Sandton Drive as Ramallah City Drive, but this was later amended by the EFF to make the change to Leila Khaled Drive. The response from users on Twitter has not been positive. Many respondents called the move to rename Sandton Drive a waste of money and resources—especially given the city’s financial constraints and massive infrastructure issues—while others called it divisive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e0elZw0fxU?si=EbE3PuIoZ_Vjj9n- Some raised concerns about the new name, given that Leila Khaled has no real ties to South Africa or Johannesburg and is a controversial figure in the Israel-Palestine war. Khaled is a Palestinian liberation fighter known for hijacking and attempting to hijack planes in 1969 and 1970. She has become a popular pro-Palestine icon among supporters. However, Williams noted that she has no ties to Joburg specifically, nor has she contributed in any meaningful way to the city’s development—some of the key requirements to justify a name change. He also stressed that the proposed change goes against many of the name-change rules and brings the City of Joburg into the Israel-Palestine conflict, antagonising one side over the other—the opposite of goodwill. Name changes remain a controversial talking point in South Africa at the best of times. However, at the very least, the changes put forward are tied to local heritage. Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie said earlier this month that the South African Geographical Names Council (SAGNC) and the Provincial Geographical Names Committees (PGNCs) are planning a fresh push for name changes in the country. There are currently 66 applications for name changes for several geographical features in South Africa, listed by the South African Geographic Names Council (SAGNC) as being processed. These name changes will apply to various geographical features across the country as outlined within the SAGNC mandate, including towns, villages, settlements, townships, mountains, rivers, airports, roads, and post offices. The council has gazetted and named or renamed 1,505 geographical features in South Africa since its inception. Many of the name changes are taking place in only a handful of provinces, with the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu Natal being particularly aggressive in this. Gauteng (encompassing Johannesburg) has not been as prominent in the name-change game but has targeted key routes in its endeavours.

King Misuzulu KaZwelithini says xenophobic sentiments have no place in KwaZulu-Natal, as he called for the embrace of foreign nationals and an inclusive environment for the province to thrive. The king used the commemoration of the death of the founding monarch of the Zulu nation, King Shaka KaSenzangakhona, to address tensions between South Africans and foreigners. He said: “Let us not abuse and ill-treat foreign nationals. Instead let us show them our ways because we know they come here to look for a better life and we must be happy they choose to come here.” The king instead advocated for the social and cultural integration of migrants. Tensions between South Africans and foreigners resurfaced recently over the nationality of a beauty pageant contestant and have been simmering for weeks, and hostility persists on social media. King Misuzulu said that if foreign nationals are isolated in city enclaves away from the essence of the principles of ubuntu (humanity) they may stray with no guidance. “It can be Nigerians, Cameroonians, Ghanaians, tell them this is a Zulu nation, tell them you have a king here. Bring them to me. Because if you stay with them in cities and do the things you do, things will get out of hand. “Let us show them who we are and what we stand for, ubuntu. And move forward with purpose towards a common goal,” said King Misuzulu. King Misuzulu, who took over the throne three years ago when his father, King Zwelithini died, was also celebrating his birthday.

Sepukku:You're defending crime. Wouldn't the SA govt make more money if your people and other crooked aliens paid proper taxes like everyone else? But you're quick to fleece public amenities. |
Sepukku:How do you pay tax when your sources of income are dodgy? 🇳🇬👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 |
Sepukku:The black middle class emanated from the public and private sector, as well as through entrepreneurship. And only because of efforts of the black government since the advent of democracy. So your white worshipping technique that the black middle class is a result of WMC is total rubbish 🇳🇬👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 |
Sepukku:You're parasitic despite your "higher average IQ". My taxes help develop SA while you do everything to dodge paying taxes in SA because your sources of income are illegitimate and yet benefit from SA social services 🇳🇬👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 |
Sepukku:Doesn't change the fact that Africa's largest black middle class pays taxes in SA and that a vast majority of Nigerian businesses in SA are illegitimate. FACT. |
arantess:You think SA became the most advanced country in Africa through waitering and bouncer taxes that all you illegal aliens have? 😂😂😂 Try another line. Since when do Japagerians pay taxes either in Hunger-geria or SA? 90% of your businesses in SA are illegitimate. |
arantess:Where were the women you're breeding when all of SA was trashing Chidimma into the garbage bin? 🇳🇬👎🏾😂😂😂😂 |
Sepukku:Average high IQs that can't develop their country to habitable standards & would rather go parasite my taxes in SA? 🇳🇬👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 |

Sepukku:😝😝😝 |
CJStarz:Thanks, we're ballin' in the snow - the source of your frustrations this afternoon 😂😂😂 Keep wailing. The snow atleast is covering the crime & grime you imported into SA. That's the source of our xenophobia. |
arantess:How's your spawn Chidimma doing? Has she recovered from the rejection she got from all sectors of SA society? This was a serious blow to Japageria - you're rejects in SA. 🇿🇦😎🏆🏆🏆 Where were the women you breed to defend poor Chidimma and her japagerian father 😢😢😢 |
CJStarz:Which lands and houses? Last time i checked you lived like sardines packed in a tin in one Hillbrow flat. The place has become a no-go area because of the grime you imported from Hunger-geria. All that remains is for you to start openly defecating in the streets of Hillbrow like you do back home 🇳🇬👎🏾💩💩💩💩 |
CJStarz:Chai, so you guys would rather drink your own urine to reach onyiboland than stay in your homeland and develop it? 🇳🇬 I think this article omitted what they ate because its too graphic💩💩💩

The snowy conditions that led to the closure of several roads including the busy N3 highway at the weekend raised questions about the transport infrastructure’s ability to deal with extreme weather in South Africa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bobUFwR8OAA?si=RQ7f1wWEwkQ0Qzo6 The toll road linking Johannesburg to Durban was thrown into chaos when road users were trapped in heavy snow. Hundreds of motorists were stranded and at least one person died of hypothermia as icy conditions, wet weather and poor visibility affected parts of the country including KwaZulu-Natal, the Free State and Eastern Cape. Many roads were impassable, leading to vehicles being stuck on the road for nearly two days, resulting in people being cold and hungry while they awaited help in freezing conditions. Midlands emergency services reported a woman died of the cold in Merrivale, near Howick, after travelling in a taxi which had become stuck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8PcJREGDm8?si=HzieAUmHyZv3vd1K It raised the question why icy weather has such a dramatic effect on traffic in South Africa compared with countries in the northern hemisphere that are much more heavily affected by snow but do not close their roads, except in exceptional circumstances. The South African National Roads Agency (Sanral) said South Africa's roads are designed and built for the local climate. Snowfall more than 1m deep, as occurred at the weekend, is not normal and does not happen every year. “Roads in the northern hemisphere are designed and built for sub-zero winter temperatures and regular and heavy snowfall. South African vehicles are not equipped to travel on snow-covered roads. Vehicles in the northern hemisphere may have special tyres, or chains in the case of the heavy vehicles,” said Vusi Mona, Sanral GM for communications and marketing. Winter tyres are designed to cope with colder temperatures. They are made of a different type of rubber compared with regular tyres, with deeper tread grooves that help vehicles grip the road better in the cold and ice. In many European countries it is a legal requirement for motorists to have winter tyres on their vehicle for specific periods of the year, while drivers also carry snow chains to help their vehicles grip. In countries where it snows regularly during winter, road-clearing measures are introduced including deploying snow ploughs and sprinkling rock salt on icy roadways to melt the ice. Salt lowers the freezing point of water, which prevents ice from forming. Unlike their northern hemisphere counterparts, South African drivers are also not accustomed to slippery, ice-covered roads and do not have the skills to handle the conditions. The N3 highway was reopened on Sunday evening and traffic is flowing after the extensive backlog between KwaZulu-Natal and Free State provinces was cleared and trapped motorists were rescued. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zU6Z1hv33xY?si=u_JR8zIQp-esUard Mona said discussions are under way to ensure more resilient infrastructure, given the climate change challenges and how they affect road safety.
