Mynd44 Fergie001 take this to Politics section for real debate. You can't just claim you're the best. Is this Nigerian culture? To claim you're the best without proof? |

Mynd44: Wow, explains how you moderate Nairaland - very biased/subjective. Arise News is whack, so is Nigeria and your judgement. Like everything Nigerian DSTV will kick it out of SA. Why you hiding this truth in TV section? I posted in Politics, you removed it. |

Mynd44: Why you hiding it in TV/MOVIES section? It's a political issue - you removed it from Politics. Take it back to Politics sections because this is political and international. |

Arise news has just one look behind a computerized background. Very few inserts. Long zoom interviews or dumb presenter conversations all day.

In a conversation reflecting on Arise News entering South Africa and 9 other African markets, their anchors claimed the channel is Africa's best news station. I was perplexed and wondered how they came to this conclusion. Where's the evidence? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUTUnSxgbZE?si=spTmDLWgTtRTpl5f As far as I witnessed, most Arise programmes are recorded in one small room behind a green screen with just talking heads all day. My home country of South Africa has bureaus all over the country and several in Africa - as well as huge high-tech studios including this one below. Arise News can't compare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qt_ZwEE-gwo?si=_-qipHcwLbWUpjfV Arise News on the other hand are sitting behind a CG green screen all day will endless technical problems - I watched their late night international news show and it was disasterous with endless freezing shots and misplaced overlay. Please compare Arise News' sole CG background to numerous SABC (South African) world-class news studios. So again I ask - why Is Arise claiming it's the best news operation in Africa? |
Education / Re: South Africa Becomes Africa's Biggest Economy - Nigeria Slips To 4th (IMF LIST) by WannaHowzit(m): 1:31am On Apr 27 |
SA President said, β We have now become the largest economy on the African continent, with Nigeria and Egypt having been up there and having their challenges and now South Africa being the largest economy in the continent. That positio n in itself attracts more investors, because they see that this is a country that is reforming various processes and itβs a country going somewhere. We have a clear destiny of where we are going as a country and thatβs why we are attracting investors.β https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Liaj0OSJ8gc?si=h89pRlf8vXKMS-1y The IMFβs World Economic Outlook estimates Nigeriaβs gross domestic product at $253 billion based on current prices this year, lagging energy-rich Algeria at $267 billion, Egypt at $348 billion and South Africa at $373 billion. |

dominique: Nigerians of all sorts are not welcome in SA, hence your bitterness. No one forced you gutter-poopers to spend your criminal proceeds in SA and then overstaying? Kudos to SA for frustrating you by withholding your passports and denying you visas. Your only routes now are purely criminal - stowawaying or riding crocodiles from Zimbabwe into mighty SA (Africa's biggest and most industrialized economy πΏπ¦π). 3 Likes 1 Share |

dominique: Atleast we have clean drinking tap water and 40,000mw of electricity - you have noneππ½π³π¬π©. Congratulations on your new position as Africa's number 4 biggest economyπ’ as SA bantus are now number 1 πΏπ¦π ($380billion for 40 million population- i deducted all you hungry japagerians from the rest of Africa). I just wonder how 250 million people share a meagre $250 billion gdp π³π¬π©ππ½ - only you can do poverty maths like that. No wonder you're so criminally minded - yahoo entrepreneurship and drug dealing is your culture, that's when you're not gutter-pooping hunger dust ofcoz. Fyi, it's election time in mighty Mzansi and the frontrunners want to build a wall to keep you out. Maybe start looking towards Somalia and South Sudan for visa o - bantu republic is now off limits (the source of your bitterness)π©.
