Do money order, go to walmart or post office or any big store jst tell that that u want to do money order with your card, they will do it for you and give you a check tell them your doing it for yourself then you cash it there too, thats how i did mine and the service charge its .0.42 dollars in walmart n 1.75 in usps so its beta you go with the money for that so that you can be able to withdraw exactly 300. While we are preparing for our student visa applications/admission processes and celebrating our successes in obtaining our visas, one core issue we have not been discussing is how Nigerian students can raise extra pay apart from the campus jobs. What vocational skills or what are the means through which students can raise money. We need to discuss this so as to ease the pressure on us.

I need your assistance in choosing the school i should choose for my masters in Electrical engineering. I have been offered admission in 3 universities right now namely;
1) southern Illinois university edwardsville. (SIUE)
2) Wayne state university, Detroit, Michigan (WSU)
3) University of Kentucky
I'm supposed to resume by spring 2016, i already have i-20 forms from two of the schools. i think i am having a had choice choosing between WSU and SIUE. Tuition in SIUE is cheaper by $5,000 and the department boosts about assistantship after first semester, that was what was pushing to go for the school, but now i am thinking to myself if this is actually a good school to go to. Someone should please assist me with facts that will help me narrow down my choices.

Pls I have few questions to ask. I graduated with a third class 2.2CGPA B.sc Banking/finance

....Now to my questions:

1. Can I get a [size=4pt]cheap[/size] school that offers masters in the US with that CGPA above, If NO, what are my options?? Any room for PGD?

2. with a budget of #2m, am I good to go for a masters programme in the states? (I have an uncle that will help me with a bank statement of any amount that I want; but he is not the one sponsoring me though)

3, If questions 1 & 2 is answered in affirmative, when is the right time for someone that will like to start his programme in august/september 2017 start the necessary applications (school applications, visa applications and all other stuffs).

4. Where can a prospective applicant write GRE xams or is it online (make una no laugh me plss, am a JJC here)

Been a silent follower on this thread. However, I got my visa denied this morning by the lady in Window 2. (Lagos)

Me: Gud morning.

VO: Gud morning.

VO. Pass me your document.

Me: I passed the document to her with a smile. She started typing for almost 20seconds.

VO: who is sponsoring you.

Me: My brother.

VO: what does he do?

Me: He is a banker.

VO: which of the banks?

Me: I told her ***** bank. She started typing for another 20 seconds.

VO: How did you find out about the school?

Me: I Google searched it and later went to usnews.com and Princeton review for more information about the school. She typed for 10 seconds and then handed over a blue paper.

VO: Sorry, we are unable to grant you visa due to blah blah blah blah.


I observed that the lady in Window 2 has denied 5 visa applications in succession before me. Maybe today is not my lucky day.

sometimes people do get visa with d most stupid interview ever,,,it all depends on luck...so u gotta pray hard and refire next time...but as for d lapses i noticed. using brother as a sponsor raises a little red flag....anoda thing is his occupation...d consular was not convinced of your sponsors income..last thing ..pls tell us ur school for nairaland screening
