Sam_Ikenna: A living breathing person deserves a chance to me table his or her case, deserves a right to fair hearing, and must not be pronounced guilty until the justice system says so. Those above are essential ingredients without which a nation becomes a jungle. Lets ask this question - Did Punchng, Vanguard, Osun Defender, and other Lagos media echo chamber giver Oduah that? If not then why? You dont have to like me to ask yourself why, just do it.
There are things some folks don't easily get and that is - faceless online media is different from established News-outlets that physically exist and pay taxes to the state. Those established outlets give stories enough weight, and by and large majority of Nigerians who're between 45 and above and who really matter in the scheme of things as regards the affairs of this nation including many more who are working-poor get enough dose of their news from media houses. The Netizens are semi to full literate fellas between say - 15 and 45 and who, for all their braggadocio, are less inclined to street demonstration. Their job is only to stay indoor and incite the born-to-die/Almajiri.
So anyway what's my point - it is that, while I do not support any form of excess, I firmly believe we all deserve a fair legal and public prosecution devoid of any media intent, be it sectional or general, to muddy, bias, or overwhelm the public with facts and fiction in a bid to get an expected outcome regardless of the guilt or innocence of the accused. Any human that shares a contrary belief to the above needs a serious check upstairs.
My condemnation of Lagos media lynch group is because I've seen, utter dismay, that they're irresponsibly throwing everything at Oduah with the hope that something sticks. This action is shameful and dangerous. The job of the media is bring the news and cover every side of the story. I would like anyone here to dare me and show a story from Punch, Vangaurd, Osun Defender, et al, where Oduah was given a fair presentation. Are we saying all these years Oduah's been working there is no one available to make a positive remark about her? Common!
What's going on is game wise folks know too well and that is - if you want to destroy a fellow first strip him of humanity by making him appear irredeemably dirty that no one, even his family, would have pity or any form of kinship with the accused. After the coast is clear pound on him - at this point the accused is guilty as charged - straight to jail.
For folks who say they thought I was detribalized, and this and that. Yes you bet I'm detribalized, at least to my knowledge I feel I am. But I would be a fool to deny the evident media gang-up against this woman. Let me make clear - I want Oduah to pay for her alleged crimes if they were true. If she enriched herself illegally using the state apparatus then the law must run its course. But until then, until the court says she stole from us I believe all detribalized men and women of honor should cross their arms and wait. To do different by trying to influence the outcome and expect Oduah's family, kinsmen, and well-wishers to not say a word is disingenuous and hypocritical - plain and simple. Thank you |

Afam4eva: I want to use this opportunity to congratulate Manchester City for a job well done. They controlled the game and made the chelsea players look like headlesss chickens. They can't be blamed by a mistake made by one of their defenders. chelsea are known to capitalize on other people's misfortune to shine in their own myopic way. God punish chelsea this year. They'll never smell any trophy this year. They'll lose to the likes of Stoke, Wigan, Aston villaa at home. Their coach will be sacked before the season ends. They'll change their jersey from blue to black and change their logo to akpu. Useless team. All these curse for you family? And you said you're not mentally retarded even as a mod. |

From the pictorial evidences, I can authoritatively state that Yorubaland is poor in terms of development. Is it that most Sw'ners find it so difficult developing their various places but rather, always wants to claim federally developed Lagos? Go home and develop your place as no one will do it for you. This should be a food for thought for my brothers from the South west. |

berem: People of Ika especially Umunede,Agbor,Igbodo,Ekwuoma and some I can't remember their names have never claimed to be Igbos despite them bearing Igbo names and having almost the same traditions with Igbo people. They hate being called Igbos just like the Ikwerres. They also marry themselves mostly and hardly marry Igbos or other ethnic group. My maternal uncle married an Agbor lady and today the marriage is no more as both parties have parted ways. My uncle is happily married to an Nnewi lady. madam, pls with all due respect don't say what you don't know. How many people from Ika said they are not Igbos? Afam4eva: In think Chino will do a great job for the Enugu state government in the capacity of a publicist cos if he can advertise Peter Obi's government this good despite the fact that there's nothing to advertise then he'll do very well for a government that has something to offer. I'm really dissapointed at Peter Obi's government. I don't know if the Obiano guy can be any better. Did you just imply that Chime performed better than Obi? Bia, if na joke you better stop am. With the wholistic governance going on in my beloved Anambra state and your ignorant assertion, I now believe that you know nothing about good governance and wholesome development. Apart from Enugu metropolis that was the former capital of Eastern Nigeria and old Anambra state, can you really pinpoint what has change about Enugu state and the life of the ordinary "wawa man' in general |
