Nice one. I never take statistics from Nigeria serious. It obviously these guys just sit in the office and aportion figures as they pls. Your write up here is revealing. |
U have invested too much of ur emotions in it. It's not love. U are feeling rejected. Go out, don't just lock ur self indoors and cry. Meet new and interesting guys and gradually ur eyes will be off him. stop seeing value in him. Immaangel2: |
End of story. He was looking for a cheap excuse so as to move on. From ur findings, it's obvious he is into the ss3 girl. It's not about ur temper. Pls quietly move on or find another boyfriend around. That will wry him up and get him jealous. leave the life of a bitch, careless and he will drool over u. Immaangel2: |
Sad to hear this. I know him at sacred heart cathedral warri. A stunch Catholic. Eternal rest grant him O Lord. |
Yes the Urhobos are in Delta South but as minorities in Warri south for instance, they occupy only about three wards out of thirteen . We the not have issues with Urhobos either other than political. Delta central voted massively for Uduagha (really? they voted for Ogboru more) because of the Ibori factor. The Ibori political machine still has a strong hold on Delta politics and Uduaghan simply rode on that. Efewestern: |
The cancerous domination of Nigeria by the Hausa -fulani is the trouble with Nigeria but that's not the subject of our discuss here. The Urhobo, ijaws and Itsekiris have always leaved together but a lot changed after the Warri crises and the Itsekiris being the minorities of the three ethnic group will honestly not want a state where the Uhrobo's are the dominant ethnic group. We would rather have a Warri state instead. Again if not for Delta north, we the Itsekiris would never have smelt the office of the governor , how much more becoming the governor of delta state. I have played local politics in delta state and I know the thinking of an average Urhobo man when it comes to delta state. It's almost akin to how the fulani north view Nigeria like it belongs to them only, with their born to rule mentality. I remember when felix ibru (may his soul rest in peace ) was a senator, while he supported rotational presidency along the geopolitical zones , he was against the rotation of the office of the governor along senatorial zones. Our experience with felix ibru for the few months he was governor in delta state was not exactly a parlitable one.He governed Delta state like it belonged to Urhobos only and almost humiliated the Olu of Warri over who heads the council of kings in Delta state then. He made Chief Paulinus Akpeki the Lie Mohammed of his time who never hesitated to lie for the state and haul insult at any body in opposition to them. fratermathy: |
Why are uhrobo people not agitating for delta central state ? Any lumping of delta south with delta central to form a new state will not be welcome by Itsekiris because we see it as a ploy for the uhrobo's to dominate such a state because of their numerical strength. The Uhrobo will simply dominate affairs at the state level and rule the new state as if it's their private estate. It will be reminiscent of what is going on in Benue state where the Tiv takes precedence over any other ethnic group in Benue state. The idoma people can attest to what I am saying. |
GeoOla25:The geologist has spoken but they won't listen. The illumedien basin has been extensively mapped geologically on the Niger republic end by French geosurvey and no trace of hydrocarbon is found. let them search for phosphate instead |
What a shame. A disgrace to the uniform. I saw one at shogunle near oshodi in those days. He was so drunk he didn't know what he was doing anymore. civilians around collected his gun and kept for him. |
Well , you don't expect me to come to nairaland to announce to you my movement or what I have or have not done regarding Nigeria's constitutional review. Neither will I waste my time here narrating my ordeal or experience with the national assembly. There he goes raising the Lagos question. first and foremost lagos is what it is because of the Nigerian situation . A situation where Niger Delta oil and the nations common wealth was used in developing lagos because of its federal capital status just as it is being done in Abuja today. A situation where the oil companies left there regions where productions actually takes place and sets up its headquarters in lagos and pay their taxes there. My community Ugbuangue today suffers the casualties of shell and chevron leaving our shores and NPA port Warri also within my community completely shut down in the name of oil and gas processing zone why nothing really goes on there. Whereas the lagos ports are called commercial ports and are made to boom. I remember the Warri port was once a commercial, it was a behive back then and traders from onitsha came there to clear their goods. Today even Intel is no where to be found.Trust me the lagos you boast so much about today, Should Nigeria properly restructures or even breaks , most of the companies that ran away from from these region will find their way back or they will simply not operate here anymore. We know 70% of importers are from the south East and they all go through lagos now but when the status quo changes, we will give them crazy insensitives that will attract them back. Your lagos is only growing at our detriment not because you have don anything special. maclatunji: |
What's my idea of one Nigeria? Simple let's go back to the 1963 republic constitution. For me that's the most people oriented constitution ever written in Nigeria and that constitution is a true people's constitution the subsequent ones that followed were championed by the military and they overtly favoured a section of the country. The 1978 constitution and the one we are practicing simply entrenched unitary system and called it federal system. That by it self is an anathema. Both constitution were simply written to exploit and not to build or develop . Starting with the land use act, the destiny of Nigerians were turned into the hand of the government and you and I can see how well it's been managed. Again with the charade and shenanigans we see in Abuja these days, it's been proven the presidential system of government is too expensive than the parliamentary system and the presidential system is not suitable for Nigeria. Yes I would prefer a regional system of government where the economy is grown from ground up as obtainable in the first republic and people are willing to pay taxes because it's their civic duty unlike what obtains now where the economy is built from top down. I liken Nigeria to former Yugoslavia, therefore saying Nigeria is not negotiable and that secession is not possible is simply begging the question. Yugoslavia sounded like Nigeria once, their leadership of the day said yugoslavia is not negotiable and that it's sacrosanct but eventually what happened? War broke out and the same non-negotiable Yugoslavia splitted into smaller countries and some of the proponent of one indivisible Yugoslavia like slobadan milosvich are serving jail terms at the Hague for committing war crime and crime and against humanity. Same thing will likely happen in Nigeria if we continue the way we are going. Nigeria is negotiable and every ethnic group have a write to want out or to stay. You can't beat that. freshest4live: |
Call it what ever you want but the truth remains the South East you like to deride has taken a step in the right direction (a bold step at that)with the current agitation going on. Nigeria can not thrive effectively as presently constituted. It's not sustainable and those in the know will tell you. And theirs nothing wrong in letting Biafra go if that's what they so desire. The enemy of Nigeria are those shouting one Nigeria on the top of their voice without any plans on how to build a sustainable economy and at the same time making Nigeria livable for everyone. This proponent of one Nigeria are also the ones who will tell you that Nigeria is not negotiable in a form or way. While their idea of one Nigeria is an unworkable status quo that has only favoured and enriched a few elite and political jobbers. This is not just about the agitation for Biafra , The time to face the truth and proffer credible ways forward is now. We can not continue robbing Peter to pay Paul and believe it will go on forever. No economy survives on that bases alone so Nnamdi Kanu's agitation is a wake up to all and sundry especially those of us in the south to take our future into our hands if people from other region are not willing to help them selves by growing their regional economy instead of leeching off on others. maclatunji: |
some people live and act like they own Nigeria more than others. The fact remains, for Nigeria to survive, we must restructure now and equity, justice and fairness to all must be obtained. Nigeria as we know it can not survive, politically or economically. The fossil fuel we so much rely on is gradually becoming irrelevant. The German legislature has passed a law banning the use of injection fuel propelled cars by 2020 and most western nations are following suit. Electric car technology has and will disrupt injection fuel technology. Tesla is the next big thing to happen to the auto industry. This will overwhelmingly affect Nigeria and most oil producing countries . We must restructure or burst besides this present government have gone a borrowing without anything to show for what they are borrowing for. The time for real change has come and yes any and every ethnic group has a right to want out of Nigeria after all,dey no tie our unblical cord together. Even if it is tied together we have a right to cut it and go our separate ways. Siemese twins still get separated by surgery. For those who truly love Nigeria, time to negotiate is now and not bitting about the bush. |
small IPOB . groom them young. |
Wrong move by FG. This can only agravate the situation and draw more sympathisers to him. U have made him a hero now u want to promote his relivance further. Buhari should borrow sense. |
Igbos and Yorubas actually love each other. They agree in everything else except in politics. yoruba boys can't live without igbo girls and igbo guys can't do without yoruba churches. When it comes to business, they both run and control the organised private sector in Nigeria. They only bicker when it comes to politics. The day the igbo man and the yoruba man agrees, the northern dominance of Nigeria politics will die and Nigeria will be better for it. Igbos and Yorubas are like twins who love to hate each other when it comes to politics. |
When I read comments like this, I see reasons igbos want to leave this expired space. I see the hate pouring out from your heart and I see fear because the likes of you know that the exit of Biafra from this carapace called Nigeria will also mark the end to free oil money and the feeding bottle economy. To scare you further, the igbos are among the few with high hdi in Africa and leaving will be a good thing to them because of their progressive nature. Besides Niger delta republic will follow suit. To increase your fears further, Your north will be like Niger republic. ... dry , deserted and arid. NafeesaAA: |
I survived by letting her go. Difficult at first but I had to let her be. strange enough her best friend who knew about us started positioning her self. But I wasn't cut out for anything related to her. A few months later I met my sweetheart. Then she came back begging and pleading but it was late. savvyChuks: |
You may have the political power but if you don't have the people power, you are on your own. |
U don't have to believe me. It sounds incredible to be true but it's my experience. I have not even told the complete story but that's by the way. Oh she made attempts to come back but it was too late by then. Her best friend wanted to take over but I wasn't caught out for their bile any more. Prettyenit18: |
I met this girl back in the day. Everything checked out right with her and I believed I had finally found my lost rib. It started with debt, she claimed she was owing a woman 150k and that the woman was on her neck ,so she pleaded with me to help her pay and without hesitation I wired the money to her. A week later she she posted different hair types on my wassap wall and their prices with the cheapest at 80k. when I asked her what the post meant she said she urgently needs to fix her hair and that she needs like 200k . I objected at first but she started this emotional blackmail thing by saying; Don't u want ur baby to look nice? so after much pressure I wired 180k to her to go get a new set of weavon. A week later,I noticed if I don't call her she won't call me or when she calls we may end up quarrelling. A day came she brought up this idea of starting up a small business so that she won't be asking me money all the time and when I inquired about the business she gave me a bill of 600k. I told her u don't expect me to wire 600k to u just like that. I asked her to explain what the business is all about and if I'm convinced I will give her the money. Then she came up with one story like that about gas supply and the profitability level. After much argument back and forth, I gave her the 600k. Barely a week later she came up with a story about how her ex saw her at the bus stop and collected her phone from her and that she should come to his house and collect her phone . From the direction she was going I knew she wanted me to buy a new phone for her and when I asked what phone do u need to buy she said iPhone 4. Then ipone4 was being sold at about 120k for a new one so without baiting an eye lead, I went into zenith bank and transferred 130k to her . Two weeks later, during easter we were meant to spend the easter together but somehow she just found one excuse to be away from me . when I call her, she wouldn't take my calls but send message later that she will call me which she would never do. A week after easter, she sent me text one night around 1130 pm that she lost her phone I bought like two weeks earlier. In the morning of the following day she called more than twenty times before I finally picked her calls and she was crying on phone ,apologising to me . I asked her to come see me at my office and within 30 minutes she was already troubling my secretary. When we met, I took her to shoprite where I got her a brown new iPhone 5 that was just launched in Nigeria. Well to cut the long short, after I blew over 1.5 million naira on her within a span of 3 months she told me to my face she doesn't love me . I said ok and let her go. |
You are missing the point big time when you call them broke or unemployed. Who made them unemployed, Nigeria off course. I believe it's high time well meaning Nigerians rose up and do something. ( and please I don't mean war or threats of chasing them out of Nigeria, that in it self will quicken Biafra) We need to renegotiate Nigeria asap. It's obvious to all except those gaining from the wrath that Nigeria has failed. The feeding bottle arrangements is dead. What we need now is a Nigeria where equity and fairness thrives or we kiss Nigeria good bye. vedaxcool: |
Nigeria is still playing about this Biafra thing. the DW journalists were there. Some thing is going on and the Nigerian government is helplessly looking. It's high time we got to the round table. |
It is becoming clearer every day that this kanu guy has back ups from the international community apart from the Turkish diplomat, I know Israel is solidly behind them. |
hopefulLandlord:there's a rev father in enugu state that destroyed a shrine in enugu state by calling down fire. They call him father okunaerere |
Arresting him again will not solve the problem but rather escalate it. Buharis government has succeeded in making him a hero and a freedom fighter. |
Exactly and it's high time we started. Time for us to buckle up. mekuzi09: |
I think the best thing happening to Nigeria right now is the Biafran movement. Those of us in the Niger delta area are paying keen interest and attention to what is going on. I believe it's high time we aligned with the south East with a clear spelt out agenda on how the south south can be Integrated into the movement and how minority rights are to be protected should Biafra come. A duo country in one can be worked out like u find in canada, Sao tome and principe, Trinidad and tobego. Or even the Chinese arrangement where mainland China is run separately from honk Kong, Chinese Taipei and macao. It's obvious the expected change or even revolution is coming. We need to get in now. |
So apt a write up. Nigeria restructure now or die |
