Sad but hilarious tale from Ogun state. |
kayfra:What marveled me is that they don't see it as a crime but as a business. They don't do drugs but only supplies to the users. The dude in question, u will never believe he is into drigs , how much more a Barron. He pays his tithe regularly and according to him in dollars. He was willing to raise me 10 million USD cash in buying a dp2 anchor handling vessel. But I quietly avoided his offer after he opened up to me. |
One thing I love about igbos is there determining spirit to excel. My grand father once marvelled att there abilities. For instance, after the civil war, a lot of came to warri with nothing. Usually they will come in twos or three to one room apart and survive mostly through minial Jobs like night soil men, obioma, and so on. Gradually they raised money and went into trade. Time was in warri, when ever u want to buy anything cloths, u go to Igbo market apart from kingsway . they have a knack for controlling any kind of business from spare parts to building materials, to electrical etc. If u come to macdemott road in the time past, theirs no kind of oil and gas equipments u don't see them selling. From having nothing after the war, a lot of them prospered and became millionaires. The likes of bonsue, popular, chumatec, donasulu, charlesco etc all came with nothing but all ended up as multimillionaires.many from living in room apart started buying lands and moving into their own apartments. In most places I have met Igbos, its almost the same story. From, kano,Kaduna, jos, Lagos, abuja, angola, south Africa to China its the same story. I met an Igbo man in lekki Lagos who told me the drug business is over 30 billion USD a year business and the their cartel controls over 5 billion USD of it. The info I got from him is not the kind of stuff one presents here. I was in china in 2010 for business and I was shocked to discover Igbo are building factories in China. From electronics to apparels. I met one ifeanyi guy that owns a candle factory in China and he supplies candle world over. His workers run shift night and day. In angola , apart from Nigerian expertrate that work for the oil majors, I met the Igbo man on ground and they are already occupying business space there. They have spread all over Africa and they are doing great. I believe other Nigerians have a lot to learn from these guys that's if pride will let us. The can smell opportunities a million miles away. |
And in Ur small mind, u think delta youths are caused? As much as youths in delta have not leaved up to expectations, and few are being used by politicians, coming out here to lay a broad accusations on all delta youths is unwelcome. Have u been to other states before, especially Lagos, those young men who collect shandies at the bus stops, who are they? And what are their political pedigree. What of nurtw in the south west? As for James ibori, u may not like him, but he remains the Godfather of delta politics and pls he is not more corrupt than ,tinubu, amaechi, buhari etc Na who dey open im nyash we see. And yes ibori tried his best in his 8 years. He not only tarred roads, their was massive employments and thousands of scholarships abroad under him. He balanced d politics of delta state, settled d warri crisis ensuring that peace reigns in warri till these day. In fact, if not for his political sagacity, warri south West LGA would have remained in ogidigben where it rightly belongs and not ogbeijaw and the position of chairmanship would not have been on rotational basis as it were because we the itsekiris with more wards will always produce the LGA chairman but for peace courtesy of ibori, we compromised. Ibori is a bridge builder per excellence. U want to be a politician and u are already failing. Yes, we have youths especially in uvwie who are misguided but its not like before in the days of friday ani them or newton who don cold like ice water. Ibori even help solve the delveeh problem. Pls stop generallizing |
Just to think that this man is an intelligent, erudite law professor yet his body language depicts a man who is confused like a common house boy while his illiterate Oga is acting superior. |
quiinnBee:E be like say u get same attitude with d girl in question. If not how u take know wetin op go do?I dey suspect u |
Leave the poor woman alone. Na she say make dey put honey for her mouth? Baro wey force im way enter, wetin pursue am comot. Yeye chief. |
And they said Oga jona is clueless. Yeye dey smell |
Na wa o! Dey never grind beans , d moimoi don dey smell. |
See d adorable kids. Ur wife fine shaa! |
Na so. Buhari is confused. Just admit una take chibok girls do politics. Maga no wan pay again. Nonsense. Madam oby, see Ur life. |
Ever since oshomole married this iara, he lost his mind. U can imagine telling d press, that rain didn't let him engage in any project for three years. Bottom power strong o ![]() |
I can't help but laugh at Ur dramatic experience. I know idoma land quite well and I have done some project in conjunction with UNICEF there. Very nice and friendly people. U guys have agricultural wealth in Ur land but its not just being properly exploited, which in effect can engage the youth gainfully. The government in markurdi has not helped matters too. Otukpo has been grossly neglected and most youths in that environment are just wasting away. I did some reports on the ground water of that area and the economic potential of the environment with prof ogezi of unijos back then. Anya |
As much as it was our wish that delta state capital be sited in delta south or central, we have accepted the fact that asaba is the capital. Again warri and its environ, would have been too congested to site a state capital. I remember many of us preferred Abraka and parts of obiaruku as the capital. |
Must u compare with South West. When will igbos and Yoruba get sense on nairaland. Must u be at each others throat all the time? Na wa ooo! |
The igbos have a high competitive spirit. My grandfather admired that in them. But they are proud and often look down on other Nigerians, that aside, they are friendly and adapt easily to any situation at hand. |
One is a teacher, schooling her peer, the other, I don't know, she look so intimidated. Buhari no try at all. |
These figures are wrong, asaba is not even there, agbo, ughelli, effurun, Udu/aladja etc all from delta are not there. Meanwhile Onitsha is more than 500k plus its adjoining cities. So also owerri. Poor job. |
This is nearly what Nigeria needs at the moment. But to make it perfect, those of in Benin republic, would want the ijaws out of it. I believe ijaws should have the Niger delta republic to themselves. And porthartcourt may not be the capital but yenegoa. Ikwerres, etches , egbema ,indoni and other igboid and Igbo groups in the Niger delta will likely align with Biafra if I am correct. While in Benin republic, itsekiris, uhrobo,I solo,Bini, ishan ,esako and may be ilages are good to go. Its a beautiful arrangement, but there must be realignments from Ur proposal. |
I never see uhrobo man wey dey answer ayo, no be u talk say u be tseke before? Ur identity is questionable. From Ur previous write up, it's clear u know nothing about warri and now this. Well if u must know, we the tsekiris are jolly good fellows, friendly and very accomadating. Because of our minority status, we know our boundaries, we are quite diplomatic on our approach to issues and we are goal getters. It may also surprise u to know we are the largest middle class in Nigeria per minority status. U hardly see us doing police work or military work as korofo unless as officers. They are even few. By cultural assimilation, we have inter married with uhrobos, ijaws etc. But don't look for our trouble because we will give it back to u double. If na jaguda, we get am plenty. We don't have problems with uhrobos or even ijaws until they started encroaching in our territories especially idimi sobo people as lead by late Benjamin okumagba, then the I jaws came with their asawana war looking for space to grab. Despite all that, we are cool. |
Why can't we put Biafra to test by referendum. At least it Will settle a lot of unanswered questions about Nigeria. |
Medunah:U look like my account in officer in zenith. I like Ur face |
If u blame nzeribe for a Court injunction, what will do to d judge That gave the injunction that scuttled a democratic process? What ever Ur ish with igbos that's Ur agbo to chew but I believe they have their inalienable rights to fight for what they want. Again my write up above is to show that many of them were active in the June 12 just as they were yorubas against the struggle |
raumdeuter:Pleased if u don't know, igbos were actively involved in d June 12 struggle same with d people from d Niger delta. Olisa agbakoba was detained for it, one chuma that died in a car crash was in prison for it in fact he was among those that made campaign for democracy thick. Ralph obioha went on exile for it he was among d original founders of nadecco. The eastrrn mandate union as lead by Dr Arthur nwankwo and Dr udenta udenta went to jail for. U had the likes of ebitu ukiwe and ndubuiai KANU who supported nadecco as well. In d Niger delta, frank ovie kokori used nupeng to fight for d struggle and he almost paid with his life. John oyegun was there in d struggle while pa Alfred rewane lost his life in d struggle after he was brutally assassinated. One of d ibrus lost his sight because of the struggle in a failed attempt to assassinate him. Yoruba obas, olu onagoruwa, Ebenezer babatope were some of d Yoruba sellout of June 12. Ibb annulled june12 not Arthur nzeribe |
Beautiful. Business is booming |
Temix:My brother no mind am. Na asawana boy or uhrobo boy. this guy they make me laugh, who be pere of gbaramatu kingdom when did that monarchy start. Orosuen of okere uhrobo (smh) , a position given to idimi sobo people by james ibori to quench okumagba greed down. If ijaws own part of warri, even warri south west lga, howcome dey buy land in other to build houses. Abego rewrite ur article e no work. Warri belongs to tsekiri people and u dont have to agree with me. Be it warri north, warri south or warri south west, na we get am. We may have a few uhrobo people in warri south lga, like agbassa, edgeba or idimisobo people but it doesnt count. |
Simple and Short of it, marry ur friend not a stranger. We all have our flaws , be tolerant and live above board. Pray. |
