Politics › Re: Why Adeleke Lost At The Supreme Court by WATCHOVER(m): 3:04pm On Jul 07, 2019 |
baralatie: a retrial would have been the best solution to this issue of judicial error! but the problem is HOW does the supreme court order a retrial in this case when that is not what the counsels of the parties are contending in the case before it.The supreme court cannot introduce it on behalf of the parties
Rather the counsel to Adeleke or Oyetola would have sought for a retrial from the lower courts tirst Sure you are correct, but if that is the case technicalities should have been ignored completely as the case was mainly between Adeleke vs INEC. Supreme Court allowing INEC to go free like that is an error and a deliberate witch hunt from Supreme Court. Honestly am disappointed in SUPREME COURT well the final judgment will be in heaven The deed is done. |
Politics › Re: Why Adeleke Lost At The Supreme Court by WATCHOVER(m): 9:24am On Jul 07, 2019 |
baralatie: not the way you put it. two counsels put forward their arguments. one was more stronger in law before the supreme court than the other. look at it this way. the court register showed that the judge for a case was absent and the same judge gave judgement. it does not sound good in law That is a judicial issue not the parties involved. In this case the Supreme Court would have ordered a retrial |

The Justices were biased. That is not an excuse. If it was the other way round they would have opened a different passage of the Law.
RIGHT FROM THE TRIBUNAL TO THE SUPREME COURT what I saw from the Judges where based on Majority vs Minority. In the eyes of the present day Nigeria PDP is seen as an Eastern party.
Nigerians never expected the supreme Court to deal with technicalities. The Judgment that was given , was to Justify the way INEC acted.
Its was a shame on Supreme Court.
That's the truth. |

Politics › Re: Senator Elisha Abbo: Atiku Abubakar Reacts by WATCHOVER(m): 2:11pm On Jul 03, 2019 |
seborrhic: Best response by anyone by far. In that short Tweet Atiku summarized the appropriate action the Senator, police and PDP should do. Surprised the PDP has not come out to publicly denounce the senator and vowing to internally discipline him. The PDP would have scored good political point by denouncing all what the senator did and what he stands for. But they lost the chance, probably and amateurishly feeling doing so would put the party in badlight, whereas the reverse is the case, particularly for a party with a sordid past, trying to redeem it's image and prestige. The PDP has already come out to condemn the action of the senator |

Politics › Re: We Have 400 Witnesses Willing To Testify Against President – PDP Tells Tribunal by WATCHOVER(m): 1:29pm On Jul 02, 2019 |
MetaPhysical: PDP can bring 4 million witnesses if they like, its them against technology and against an Act. What they described is impossible with technology.
You have information from an off-line server. How did you obtain an unofficial and unauthentic data and claim its official outside the authority of Electoral Act?
Ev e n in US when they probe electoral petitions they get to a point and back out. Because if they continued they would destroy the virtues of authority in their own electoral system. It is called self-preservation
Atiku will lose the case in Supreme Court because at that level judges rely more on judicial opinion and the sacredness of law and society. There is no judicial opinion, not even in US where similar issues have been witnessed, that would support his position. What he is claiming with t he server data, technically, is electronic security breach....otherwise known as hacking. Cybersecurity experts will frown at his method if they are invited as techology specialists to brief the court. You know nothing about This issues. Just the fact that USA own no get head no mean say Nigeria no go fit start am |
