RomanceMiss NL: Most Likely Outcome Of Today's Voting by WAZOBIA3(op): 7:47pm On Jun 21, 2016
Octopus Wazobia, the official octopus of the Miss NL competition, is here again. In other to save you the tension and suspense, let me give you the result of that you'll see later this night.

It will be a fierce battle between Mimzy and Lanicky but Mimzy takes the top spot. Lanicky will trail with less than 20 votes.

Mimzy 1st
Lanicky 2nd

Ivyy will come close with about 50 votes difference, and Refiner will be next with about 30-50votes trailer

Ivyy 3rd
Refiner 4th

Mysticgal comes far behind trailing Refiner with about 80-100 votes and Missgdope comes yet again far behind Mysticgal.

Mysticgal 5th
Missgdope 6th

The battle for survival will be between Optional1 and Diasyluv, the difference will be so narrow but Optional1 looks more favoured to scale through.

Optional1 7th
Diasyluv 8th

Sorry Diasyluv, but you're leaving this contest. Though I still love you.
RomanceRe: It's Obvious Mimzy Didn't Handle Her Interview Without Help by WAZOBIA3(op): 10:06am On Jun 17, 2016
Everything about the interview is uninspiring. Let the organizers take this correction in next year's contest.
RomanceIt's Obvious Mimzy Didn't Handle Her Interview Without Help by WAZOBIA3(op): 9:26am On Jun 17, 2016
The Miss Nairaland ish has been on for too long and luckily, I took interest. Let me just go straight to the point. Since Tuesday, there have been series of interview but that of yesterday mustered clouds simply because the big fish "Mimzy" was one of the guests. Reading posts from her is somewhat uninspiring. I am one person who monitors her comments on Nairaland, and I can tell you with certainty that she is not entirely the brain behind her answers. The Mimzy I know is not that eloquent or witty to dish out those answers to questions without consultation. How can you explain it that someone with little or no contribution in the politics section will suddenly be dishing out strong political jargons. Check her post history to confirm it. Now why am I bringing this up? It's not just about Mimzy but also other contestants and the hosts of their supporters.
Let's stop being sycophantic and have a deep sense of judgement else this contest will lose its flavour.
But I'm not taunting the contestants for not being original because I know that even some of the questions aren't necessary for a beauty contest. If you want to weigh their intelligence, I think a life interview will suffice. Let the organizers arrange a recorded call interview and post links to the files via Dropbox and let's judge their wits. Until that is achieved, let's quit making noise about intelligence that doesn't exist or that is exaggerated.

I have a similar story as you OP, the only difference is that I caused part of it myself. I left secondary school in 2010, failed Chemistry then in WASSCE then re-sat for the same exam in 2011 and failed yet again. Regrettably, I stayed in academic idleness throughout 2012 and 2013 because I was afraid of failure, but when 2014 came, I began having worries of someone who isn't getting any younger. My junior brother whom I was four years ahead of in secondary school had already made his papers. Tried GCE because of Chemistry but my centre was cancelled, and then in 2015, I tried GCE once again and came out with an excellent reward (with even A1 in Mathematics). This ongoing 2016 JAMB UTME is my first experience, and I already have 260 to go with into post UME. I pray for God's favour because it hasn't been easy. Though I'll be 21 by April, my hope of gaining admission is high and I'm not relenting. I'll advise you do same.
EducationRe: Jambites Did You Noticed This??? by WAZOBIA3: 6:33pm On Mar 06, 2016

Except the O'level where you had f9 ?, maybe you can use two sittings.
But someone told me on this site that biology isn't compulsory for UNIPORT engineering aspirants.

Abimloaded:
Brother, since you ar going for Elect Elect which requires not BIOLOGY, you ar good to go. Biology is not compulsory for Electrical Student.
All you need is your

Mathematics
English
Physics
Chemistry and any other subject. it's not compulsorily Biology.
Thank you so much for this confirmation.

Bro, I understand your plight. It's so upsetting when someone downgrades your efforts. I know how it feels when you're expecting a very high score only for you to see something else. But with the additional 40 marks, you score will be 300 and that's not bad at all. You can write JAMB about your issue but with the way this country is, I'm very sure your issue would be pushed to a corner, it won't be taken up. So, just accept it the way it is
Personally, I think JAMB should be scrapped. It's useless.
Thanks sister for your word.

260 Elect Elect UNIPORT. But I had F9 in SSCE Biology, that's what worries me most. I want to know my chances of gaining admission.

Hawlahscho:
Bro, FUNAAB has problem with biology likewise many other schools, I would have chosen them but they strictly require biology for you to study any science/engineering related course. I changed my course to Mathematics though. UNILORIN

after I've gained admission, I'll try changing d course to computer science IF POSSIBLE.
I so pray that I'm not denied admission because of Biology. I checked the 2016 brochure and it was clearly stated there that what is required is an O level credit pass in Maths, English, Chemistry and Physics with one other science subject. Can't I use Geography to replace Biology? I'm so worried because Biology is not my friend and I don't want to present combined results.

I'm happy that I have finally seen someone who sees the scam in JAMB's marking scheme. I don't know if the past questions CBT where I get at least a 90% is different from JAMB, and some people here think I should have accepted it without a protest. Didn't I work for it?

Miscellaneous:
guy relax. I am "precious" by name and back in 2013 my jamb score was also 260. I felt bad because I deserved more than that considering my abilities. Little wonder why I'm called miscellaneous. By HIS grace I took uniben postume & was admitted to study civil engineering.....and today, I am almost rounding up. You see, it's a matter of time before you realize you are still living in the past. The school is now becoming competitive and just so u know, don't be surprised that someone who scored 210 in jamb will top your class when you finally gain admission to uniport. Though, this has never happened in my class, I only want to tell you that we should thank God for where we are fortunate to be/have. Many read more than you but, jamb bleeped them up. Just be happy at all times, it helps. 260 in jamb is by far what is needed to study engineering last I checked..... God bless your jamb score bro.... the struggle continues....
Thanks for your word of encouragement.

If you're sure of your claim about your result, then sue Jamb. Jamb won't do anything if you simply contact them. Corruption is in every sector.

Although contacting them is very necessary because court may ask you if you complained to Jamb. You must print out your communication with them as evidence in Court of Jambs' inaction to prove you deserved your result.
