Nksleek: Middle aged man allegedly flee with nephew’s GLK Mercedes Benz in Delta, remains incommunicado
A middle aged man whose identity was given as Akpojotor Joseph Ogba has allegedly fled with his Nephew’s white GLK Mercedes Benz in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State.
Recounting the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of his uncle and the vehicle to our correspondent, the owner who recently relocated from PH to Osubi disclosed that the said Akpojotor, a younger brother to his father lived with him in a rented apartment and had been posing around town with the vehicle as his own because he (the nephew) was yet to master how to drive.
According to him, he traveled to Port Harcourt on November 3rd to do his driver’s license and upon his arrival, met the absence of his uncle and couldn’t find the Benz and the car documents where he kept them.
He said efforts to establish contact with the uncle proved abortive, hence, he involved their family members to intervene but they also met a dead end in their attempts to reach him.
Family members then urged him to carry out any action that he deems appropriate to recover his stolen vehicle as such theft is considered a taboo in their hometown.
Narrating further, he disclosed that he reported the theft to the police and DSS operatives, yet there has been no fruitful outcome.
“Since I relocated to Osubi, I have been the one shouldering all his bills. I carry him along in everything, he even followed me to buy the car and I compensated him with N700,000. We have tried our best to track the car but he removed the tracker and has fled to an unknown location.” he said emotionally.
Efforts by our correspondent to contact Akpojotor Joseph Ogba through channels provided returned incommunicado but another family source confirmed the incident, describing it as a dent on the image of the family.
