Can you enlighten us further on how USA conducted their primaries. Let see if it was the one that exposes it citizens to the dreaded Covic19. Obaseki said, the only mode that is safe this time is indirect and with good reason. Why is oshiomhole particular about direct mode of primaries? which question is this! A wise man would always look at the root cause of fight not the fight itself. Fight is the aftermath of a heated quarrel. He went through primaries to get the second term ticket. perhaps, you may say he went through a consensus. yes he went through indirect primary because there was no faction in the party. The party was united. Although, there were pockets of opposition against him within the party but he was able to persuade the majority of them to his side and the party became united. Do you now expect that Gov. Obaseki should be given a second term ticket without a primary? If there should be a primary what kind of primary should it be? In my Opinion, it should be a direct primary. This is because it will give opportunity to the different faction to vote. If we make it an indirect primary, it means you are saying the governor should get it without any contestation because most of the delegates would be commissioners, the 10 house of assembly members, etc who then do you think they would vote for if not Obaseki. but since he said he has done so well for us in Edo state, let him feel very free to come to the field in a direct primary and contest.

I have read and heard so many misleading information from Osagie Ize-Iyamu (Pst), and his EPM followers that he has been chosen as the consensus "candidate" of the APC. I have also heard him and his supporters spread the falsehood about delegates for Indirect Primaries having to be picked through a process of a mini direct primaries at the Ward Level. I have also heard them in their attempt to mislead the people say that the National Working Committee decides the mode of Primaries to be adopted in Governorship Primaries. Nothing can be farther than the truth. What baffles me is that Pst. Osagie Ize-Iyamu is directly involved in the spread of these falsehood. Ambition built on desperation can alter a man's character and integrity

For the avoidance of doubt, APC has clearly specified the persons who qualify as delegates to any election. The current list is with the National Headquarters of the Party and with INEC. The EPM, having failed to take over the Party structure in the Ward, Local Government and State levels is scared of delegates election through Indirect Primaries. They are saddened by the fact that the Party Structure remains and is solidly behind Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki.

Hiding from Pillar to post, from one private residence in Benin to an Hotel in Abuja, after series of scuffles, Oshiomhole's machinery eventually dumped the pretenders in the blind race to become the Anoited one, they ran to town to misinform the public they Pst Osagie Ize-Iyamu is now "the consensus candidate" of the APC. Any ambition built on falsehood, propelled by inordinate desire to now become subservient to the very man who told the world what you held as top secret is bound to lead to failure and self destruction.

The EPM has also been deceiving the APC members by spreading the falsehood about who determines the mode of Primaries at the State levels. For the Records, the National Executive Committee of the APC in 2018, directed the National Working Committee of the Party, to receive in writing the Preferred Mode of Primaries from the States hence, Kogi and Lagos wrote to say they desired Indirect and Direct Primaries respectively. EPM had hurriedly written to ask for Indirect, but because they do not have the legal right to so do, their action will only amount to a nullity.

Oshiomhole is only using the instrumentality of the EPM to destabilise and try to destroy the APC in Edo State. Otherwise, why would he want to discountenance the letter from APC in Edo State and try to force Direct Primaries on the good people of Edo State. The implication of Direct Primaries is that all card carrying members of the Party will have to gather in 192 Centres across the State. There are over a million registered members of our Party in Edo State. In some wards there are over fifty thousand persons. What health measures can you put in place in 192 places? How can INEC cover these activities in the said areas and what guarantee can Oshiomhole give Edo People that the Party's officiating Officers will be on ground in 192 points to conduct free and fair election. What he intenfs to do is to do a Kangaroo drama like election in two or three un known centres and run away to Abuja to go and write hia results. We have since put this level of Political Fraud behind us. Being too obsessed with a perceived enemy can man a man blind and fall into a hole.

The best alternative provided for in the Party's Constitution is the Indirect Mode. Thanks to the wisdom of those who wrote the Party's Constitution. The total number of delegates including past and serving members of the State and National Assembly is less than 4000 (Four Thousand). The Ultra Modern Ogbemudia Stadium, has a sitting capacity of 22,000 (Twenty Two Thousand) and all precautionary measures including fumigation, sanitisation, temperature reading equipments, sufficient hand washing buckets and free distribution of face masks can be carefully enforced including decent distancing.

The question now is why are EPM members wanting to expose our people to the community spread of Covid 19. No office, not even the office of the Governor is worth the blood of any Edolite. Inordinate ambition should not drive us to kill the very people we so desperately desire to govern.
