I am still trying to understand the reason for the WAEC cancelation because the children whom the government say they are trying to protect are not on lockdown at home. Their parents go to market and work everyday in a city like Lagos for example where people no longer obey even the simplest guideline of using face mask. They come back from work and still interact with these children.

If these same children can go out to visit friends, go to the market, places of worship in some states, play football, hangout, why cant they write their exams with of course strict adherence to safety precautions.

All I see is a government that is irresponsible and bereft of ideas especially because they dont want to spend money on their own schools. They will spend billions of naira to conduct elections, and even more to campaign, but they cannot spend anything to decontaminate schools for students to write exams.

Does the government have any plan on ground incase this pandemic continues in the next two years? The answer is NO.

With the way they are going, I dont see schools resuming in the next 3 years if they cannot even handle only the exam classes.

it's quite laughable and demeaning that as a country we can't operate online schools in 2020 , but even worse that our government is not capable of organizing a successful exam for Ss 3 students alone ...
This gratuitous move by the minister is not a surprise though , to many of us ( sensible nigerians) .obviously his children aren't affected , so he can play sudoku with the lives of others ....
These pretentious sentiment some people share of likening this pandemic to a war , is really nothing but pure hammy ...it's a big issue but nothing Close to a war , where we have to put our lives on airplane modes and wait for us to die ....
To think that elections , with all the brouhaha that comes with it is still holding ...shows how persnickety our leaders are !!
Well parents and students in Nigeria , knowing the inexactitude mannerism of our government , just brace up cos with the way this pandemic is going and no vaccine in sight , I doubt this country would write this waec in 2022!!
