Aghoghomena: Good day lovely people,
Please, I need some directives on the way forward. I had my application refused yesterday by the VO on the basis of lack of enough financial resources. I applied for a Post Graduate course, paid first semester fee, had a bank balance of almost 7 million as at when I requested for my bank statement, my brother had a bank balance of over 30 million because he actually wrote a sponsorship letter to co-sponsore me.
I have decided to reapply immediately. Please, what steps do I need to take? Defer the admission till September? Someone should please, guide me
Many thanks in advance You can do two things: But first you must get your GCMS notes to know what the VO’s concerns are. The monies are well enough and above the needed funds, so the challenge is proof of relationship. You two share same surname? And also, the 7M in your account, showed enough source of the funds Secondly, you need to defer to September, because this is almost April. And notes are always recommended before reapplying so you don’t spoil your second application. But also, you can have an expert look at all the other documents used in submitting the previous application, they could spot the mistakes made and you could submit a reapplication well before the notes even arrive, that way you may not need to defer to September, incase you have a favorable decision. All the best |

Christyiji: Good morning people..
Pls I need an assistance on what to do right now. I was refused visa on the ground of the following according to VO;
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay. I am refusing ur application because you have not established that you will leave Canada , based on the following factors;
1. Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family members), if applicable)
2. I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies that you intent to pursue.
3. I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available resources , without working in Canada, to maintain yourself and any family members who are accompanying you during your proposed period.
I am going for Masters of Management in University of Windsor, and my tuition fee is 43,000cad in total. I showed N8,351,000 in my uncle'S bank statement, N6,000,000 in my cousin's bank statement and N3,000,000 in my bank statement because they are my sponsors though I am married. Meanwhile, I have already paid 4,000cad for tuition deposit.
So, now my family members are contributing money for my studies which according to my sister, they planned giving me N10,000,000 and my that my uncle that was my sponsor want to transfer the N8,315,000 to my account while he will do a gift deed to that effect. So now concerning my family's contribution, how best am I supposed to show the funds, should they deposit it individually into my account or is it better one of them gather it in his/her account and send it my own account? A quick one, how many years is your program? And the 43k for tuition is per year? |

zubizareta: Good evening house. I am about to apply for study visa to Canada. I have all my docs ready including my SOP. Now my elder sister staying in Canada is acting as a sponsor for me and she is to cover my tuition 100% only while my statement of account shud cover my living expenses and other miscellaneous. I am also married. Now I contacted an agent and he is telling me my application will not fly as he saw some red flag which includes the fact that I am married and a business owner so I am expected to sponsor myself 100%. That if my sister is acting as a co sponsor, my application will be rejected for insufficient Funds.
Can anyone throw more light to this from previous experience. I will appreciate. First of all, change the term “acting”... No be film them Dey act for IRCC. Lol |

joefit4gur: The calculations are right. The amount of POF available is even more than required. I have a two deductions pending till I receive my GCMS notes:
1. That the POF must be available in the account for 3-4 months. (That is, just stacking your account to the full amount required for POF and then applying immediately = Red flag). So maybe wait 2/3/4 months with POF in account then applying.
2. That if you intend to fund your studies solely from crypto liquidated funds, you still need to corroborate with a legal business running in Nigeria. Show payslips and employment history and if self employed, show evidences of your interaction with clients, receipts etc.
Maybe the experts can review. It’s deffo not option 1, and most likely option 2. Because for option 1, that’s not what I did. Infact, what I noticed about IRCC from my personal experience is, they are more interested in the source of the Money rather than the actual Money. I see you talking about Crypto-, they don’t know that. - and If I be honest yeah, speaking of crypto- where did you get the Money to trade the crypto? This is also an important question you must answer, abi them Dey start crypto with zero naira? For VO eyes eh, this guy na cyber criminal (Yahoo guy).... Blunt truth. But whatever you’re doing in a reapplication, you must be very careful, these guys have privileged information which would not reflect in your GCMS notes, the new VO reviewing your files would want consistency with the old application, at least to a certain degree, you must be careful when providing new information. Selah! |

(You’ll be extending your study permit). All of this would be done from within Canada, so it won’t be a biggie. Just start your process first and enter Canada, you’ll be fine. |

Jaimewill: Hi guys , please I have a question. My sponsor sold his property to fund my schooling although this has been since October 2022. I want to know if I still need to have it in his account for six months before applying or if I show the deed of sale that will be enough. So the money has been in either your sponsor’s account or yours since October?? If YES, then you’re good to go. The money is been there for over 4Months. However you’ll still need to show proof of the source of the money, that’s by showing the documents for the property sale: Deed of sale. All the best |

Euphoria19: Hi everyone please I need some help to some questions I have. I am a fresh graduate, plan on going for service with the next batch and hopefully plan on applying for study visa next year. My CGPA is 3.58 and I studied business administration. My questions are
1. I plan on studying business analysis for my masters at a university not a college, is that possible with my cpga, also most Unis I've researched on offer this course for 1 year but I would like a 2 yr course, considering PGWP. Would I be better off studying a 2 year graduate certificate course in that field as it's relatively cheaper
2. I want to know if studying business analysis as masters is a career progression in my case, since I studied business administration in my undergrad.
3. My sponsor is my elder sister, how much does she need to have to show as proof of funds, on an average, I haven't picked a school yet so I can't factor in tuition costs, I just want to know the general amount that is required, I am single no kids and I will be going alone, so how much is needed for an individual for at least a year.
4. Most of the Unis require GMAT or GRE, I didn't know what that was until I started searching, how's the GMAT like, cost wise, and study wise. Also is IELTS needed.
Thank you. 1. Admissions to Canadian Universities are HIGHLY competitive. As for your CGPA (which is just one requirement for admission), it is okay, however you may want to double-check the last two years of your undergraduate transcript as that is what most schools look out for the most. And depending on your program GPA’s higher than 70% (for last two years) are often required. Check your program tho, it may be higher. Like mine, 75% was required. Also, note that other factors play an integral role when considering grad applications. Such as LOR, SOP,Standardized tests (such as GMAT or GRE or as required by your program) - You can go for a 1year Master’s course too; it’s usually cheaper to show POF for 1year programs. When you go for a 1year program, before you finish it, you can apply for another 1year program from inside Canada- that way when you finish you can get a 3-years PGWP 2. Yes it shows enough progression 3. No one answer fits. Check your school out first. Usually you should have CAD$10,000 (Living expenses) per year+Tuition fees for a year+Health insurance+Miscellaneous(at least 4k for flight and travel round trip). So when the time comes, she may pay your first year tuition, and transfer living cost to your account using a deed of gift, that way she won’t be needing much to show as POF. 4. Google can help you with you. Google is your friend. All the best |

It’s only right for the PPR owner to share his/her timeline so other people can get motivated. If he has gotten from this platform then he owes the platform at least his timeline. Don’t defend rudeness. That dude is literally rude and coarse! I got my study permit in less than 3weeks too. Everything is possible. It’s just how fast your stuff can be verified and also I believe this period there isn’t so much traffic for study permits. I’m sure from May/June they’ll be a lot of traffic because a lot of fall applicants would get their Admission decisions between March and April. So yeah we can always expect the delays in the coming Months. Congrats to @ShalomShalom |

No,i didn't send it through webform, do I need to send the receipt through the form? You can’t keep IRCC in the dark. Update them of any difficulty/challenge you may be facing concerning completing your medicals in the 30days window given to you. You can do that by sending them your e-medical slip via webform and both via email: on the subject of the email, write URGENT. Go on to explain your progress so far with the medical exams and the challenge you’re having with the Incomplete X-Ray. Please do that ASAP. It’s risky not to submit requested documents within allotted timelines. GL |

Mclairity1: I will also love to know how their tuition payment is done. Do I need to pay the complete semester tuition to secure my seat or I pay a tuition deposit in MUN Accommodation is relatively fair. You can get an off-campus accommodation between $400 $ $500 or on campus (with meal plans) for about $7224 per annum. - As for tuition fee: perhaps there is deposit for some programs, I do not know, but most programs DO NOT require any deposit to secure a seat... Jsyk, Uni admissions in CA are competitive at all levels especially for thesis-based programs. I wish you all the best |

It’s actually complicated but please I need best possible advice It’s always complicated. I hope you’re not trying to play fast-moves on IRCC. My last words: allow the lady get her study permit and travel in peace. Whatever arrangement you have of joining her later on, can be executed after she has successfully landed in CA. No use your reggae spoil her blues. And as for her passport, it’ is still very valid. And she’ll be getting a 4years visa imprint on her passport if she gets the study permit for a four years undergraduate degree. Shalom! Bamz555: Yes traveling with husband Welp, why didn’t you bring in this question before her having to submit her SP application. That way she would have renewed her passport before she can apply as PA and you as dependent. But all the same, considering she has already submitted her application as PA and also considering her passport is still valid for up to 4years, there’s no need to do a new passport. A quick one, if she were to do a new passport, how would she communicate it to IRCC? That her Old passport went missing? Secondly, what’s the duration of her program? I’m sure it’s not more than 2years. If so, no need to renew a passport. |

But we want to effect d new name on her intl passport, hence the need to do a new one. So my question is that; Can she go ahead to do a new passport that will bear d new names now? And how do we make sure it does not cause any problem wit d application because she applied with d current passport she has. ?? I hope I’m clearer now In my opinion, there’s no need doing a new passport, considering she still has a valid one. No need to intrude, but I’m guessing she wants to travel with her husband? Bamz555: Pls house I have a question bothering. When is the best time to do a new passport, after submitting visa application nd also evidence of change of name along side d application. 1. Is it before decision or before traveling nd present new passport at POE?? 2. Will IRCC stamp a passport carrying the new name or has to be the old one used to apply?? Kindly try to re-punctuate. I’m finding it difficult understanding your concerns. However from the little I understand as part of your concerns- when you do a new passport (as in a passport renewal) after submitting an application for a SP, it is recommended you send the data page of the new passport in a webform to IRCC. And there’s no “best time to do a new passport”. If you know your passport is due to expire in the next 6Months to a year, you should renew it. Also, if you require a visa that’ll be longer than the due date of expiration of your passport, you could also think of renewing your passport already. Your questions are so misleading to say the least. That’s why no one has been responding. Especially question 1. Are you supposed to have two passports? When you do a new passport, aren’t they suppose to cancel the old passport? As per question 1 above, and I quote “... nd present new passport at POE??” Now my own question to you is: Which passport would you be sending to IRCC for the counterfoil SP? And - how do you intend to travel without a study permit evidence on your new passport? Or do you intend to be traveling with two passports |

1. You could show your parent’s bank statement to show their stability and perhaps how long these monies have been in their account and most importantly the source of these monies and so they could trace that the transfer actually came from them. As you know you’ll be showing the transfer forms, transaction receipts Or cheque issued to you in support of the transfer made as gift. 2. It’s recommended that you send webforms only after the advertised processing times have passed. Gl Shrunkwriter: Hello guys ... I've got 2 questions.
1. When using the gift deed route ... say you have got your parents to transfer a significant amount of money to you and you also have your gift deed to back it up, would having the statement of your parents still be a necessity ?
2. At what point should one start sending web forms after submission ? |

If you’ve Completed the medicals as requested, be rest assured they’ll get it. You don’t have to be worried about the 30days timeline. However, raise a webform and submit the e-medical slip you got from the clinic. Also you may send emails to Nairobi visa office. You can Put the subject as “urgent”.
