Whats the big deal with Google maps? People have been building maps before Google came. Navteq, Tele Atlas, MapQuest and many more have given us navigable maps even before Google came online. So, again, whats the big deal with google maps?

she is resting in peace - even if she said so. She is resting in peace - only used for people who are dead?

Its not funny, it doesnt sound like a joke, its not even near a joke from a primary school student.

Instead of calling your parent names - explain to us what is wrong with the statement - assuming she said so. She is having a peaceful rest, from stup1d idlers like you. LOL. Go wipe your butt hole with sand paper.

onomeasike: it is fair and righteous in the face of God and man to bring down a wicked man.Tell your principal that he is a wicked man if he is to be judged by his actions and policies.Just today,a friend was close to tears when reporting the PHCN bill he got for his 2-room rented apartment as #15K in september when most people have become broke after paying children's school fees, the same way Jonathan did on January 1 when he struck Nigerians with fuel hike at a time they are broke after spending much on xmas and new year holidays shocked shocked shocked shocked.meanwhile, your principal keeps grabbing and grabbing and expects Nigerians to continue to make sacrifice.God of Host and god of smallpox will make all of you go blind some day, wicked people

I hear say your Mallam El Rufai supports the introduction of the 5k bill. His mouth don twist as usual, why, because GEJ has said he might cancel it. Lets say GEJ hasnt said he will cancel it, maybe he would have said he doesnt support it. mtcheeww.

Stay on the internet and bark - and think someone recognizes you. What a pity. Looking for credit for a "war" won. Why not go and collect your reward? The national assembly dey find you na. So they can dress you in a gab of glamour and adorn your head with a golden crown and your name displayed in gold on all the highways in Nigeria, with an inscription, here is the man who fought the introduction of 5k naira note in Nigeria. LOL.

Your bring him down attitude at all cost is very bad.

WTF. Waste of band width. Taking credit for what? Kids on rampage.

Whats the meaning of extra - legal team?

I guess you are one of the intellectuals? whats the need for this? If you want a reward- why not go to the National assembly and ask them to give you one? Reward for what? Freedom of speech is not the same as freedom to yearn dust morning, noon, night and day.

Kindly look up the meaning of the word "obnoxious" from the dictionary - if you have one.

Politics / Re: $1.4B Lagos-ibadan Rail Project Kicks Off by werepeLeri: 7:58am On Sep 18, 2012
Jimmy Boy: I am really surprised at various comments on this topic, the level of ignorance is just surprising.

For those who wonder why Lagos-Ibadan should get a rail line when it is actually doable by car in 45mins, you are certainly getting it wrong. For the avoidance of doubt, Lag-Ib is the busiest expressway in Nigeria today.
Someone also suggested that Ibadan people are hostile because they always speak yoruba, that is half-truth. It is true that they always speak yoruba and they dont realy have apologies for that, but they are highly hospitable.

Someone also questioned the commercial viability of the route, but he is actually ignorant of the fact that Ibadan is the home of many multinational companies and it has the highest number of SMEs after (Lagos, PH, and Kano).

However, I am still cynical about the whole project, because nor be today dem dey sign agreement with nothing to show for it after several years, I can only celebrate after the project is delivered.

How are you different from the others then?

Remii:

Bros, technically speaking inflation should be result of more money chasing few goods, am I right? Please tell me how introduction of higher denomination of currency will lead to increase in price of commodities if people's income are not increased and govt spending is controlled. Only Nigerians mentality can lead to artificial inflation if out of arrogance you want to show off by spending N5k notes unnesseccasily or decide not to take or spend coins. If pure is continued to be supplied to sellers at present price, would you pay N50 for a sachet just because N10 is in coin?

Dont even bother. He wants you to prove how it will not cause inflation, but he and others are too lazy to tell us in logical terms how it will cause inflation, apart from their tomtom and pure water price arguments.

Billyonaire: I cant believe those guys went to school bro. I do not even think they have done any business above 5m naira. I wonder why people with no financial acumen and experiences keep discussing issues they know little or nothing about. The m0r0n told me that importers buy foreign currencies but does not know that when importers buy foreign currencies, the funds are paid into our banks using domiciliary account and wired, meaning the cash money remains in our system. He used a blind fact, to challenge me. He is grand commando of the nematodes.

LOL.
Politics / Re: Introduction Of N5,000 Note: Nigerians Are Wasting Their Time – Sanusi Lamido by werepeLeri: 1:31pm On Sep 16, 2012
Billyonaire: You are pro-poverty, pro-economic illiteracy. You will be left behind, because you lack basic knowledge of Economic Growth Monitoring Indices due to your m0r0nic sense of micro/macro economy strategic policies. The measure of a country's growth can best be ascertained by macro economics indices and not by how much pure water you bought, and how much change a market woman receive when she sold pepper. People like you need to move to Somalia and form a faction of pirates and get killed by stray bullet cos you are not worth being the target of a sniper. You sit down in a badly lit apartment typing your ignorance out there and not ready to learn from people who study economics and work in banks and other financial services sector for the greater part of their lives. Sanusi is a trained, tested and trusted banker. Neither your chauvinistic sense of economy nor your stagnant mentality will stop Nigeria and progressive Nigerians from moving forward, I think you have have a stagnant and dormant IQ , so backward and archaic mentality you inherited from your pedigree. You keep derailing threads, and talking about about how politicians steal cash as if corruption will start when 5k note is introduced. When Abacha, IBB etc looted the economy, was there even 1k Naira note? No, it was by the use of foreign currencies and thats what CBN is trying to stop by augmenting the status of the Naira. People like you make me feel that freedom of speech should be taken away, cos it gives an avenue for non-savvy forumites to even think that what you saying has iota of fact. I based all my postulates on facts and illustrations, yet, you dont tell me how 5k note will cause inflation, you also refuse to tell me how it will promote corruption in political offices. So when you say foreign currencies are bought by importers, are you saying importers carry foreign currencies in cash to abroad. I mean you are plain stvpid, I have done lots of foreign transfers to ship in goods but bro, you dont send cash abroad, its called Wire Transfer, it is a telext messaging platform. So actually, much of the cash, moves within the system and it is why the systems needs to be mopped of excess liquidity in form of foreign currencies, if not, you will see us buying chewing with dollars in the next few years when our currency is dead and buried. Thumps up the CBN for this move. It is what is needed to keep naira above others.

Good guy - I love the somalia part.

Politics / Re: Introduction Of N5,000 Note: Nigerians Are Wasting Their Time – Sanusi Lamido by werepeLeri: 1:03pm On Sep 16, 2012
Remii: Honestly speaking, Naira needs to be re denominated somehow, either by removing some zeros as attempted by Soludo or printing higher denomination as currently being proposed by Sanusi. Soludo style seems better. N1000 is equal to 6USD or 4PDS at that value, N100 is about 65cents. We all know that UK has 2PDS coins ~N500. If the higher denominations are created with N50 coins, as being proposed, it should not lead to inflation, provided Nigerians are ready to resist traders antics, since there income will remain same. Nigerians need to work on attitude of spending higher denominations too. 50PDS and 100USD are not freely spent in UK and US respectively. CBN should be careful not to flood the system with proposed N5k notes too.

God bless you.

But they will say - Nigerians dont like spending coins - so, phase coins out.

pato405: it's obvious you didn't witness all these evidences you put up, else, they wont form the basis for your argument. those who witnessed that era can tell you categorically, that it played a major role in the current inflated prices of fares. have you stopped to ask yourself what they did with the truck-load of coins at the end of the day and how easy it was to convert to notes?

you aristocratic class only think of yourselves. I was expecting you to put up the argument that coins-to-note converting machines will be installed all over the place just as ATMS [as you have in many developed countries]..but I guess you wont think that far. as far as you are concerned, they should go through the rigour of queuing in banking halls to convert their 'ghana must go' bags or buckets of coins to few notes while you rich brats simply use the ATMS to withdraw your clean wads of N5000. well advise your financial evil genius SLS to as well convert N100, N200 & N500 to coins while he further prints N10k and N100k. that will do you gys a lot of good. I'm pretty sure when this starts all ATM will dispense only N5000 minimum. that will definitely keep the poor off your track. very crafty strategy of going cashless. cashless my foot!

Dude- Abeg. chill. answer simple question, you talkin nonsense.

How were the coins being carried previously? You raised a point, I asked a question based on what you said. Answer- save the rhetorics. This is NairaLand. Simple question - answer it- save all the lingo. Who cares the fu ck about you if you are poor? How many of them have you fed today? I see you hate the rich so much - look, noone can help you if you are poor - doesnt mean everyone should remain like you.

Back to the question - how were the coins being ferried about previously? The bus conductors who we use to pay in coins - the market woman we use to pay with coins, how is it now an issue about how they will carry the coins? How were they carrying it before? Where is your proof that fares went up because people used to pay with coins? Damn.
