Sharrrap there! Task leader gang of 40!... Even if they have not been there, atleast they have seen the pictures on the internet and they know what modern airport should look like. As someone who travels regularly, I have seen enough of what Airports should look like and not that shack! Even here in the UK, I saw two Locally managed international airport and I said to myself.. why can't the FG have even average of what these airports have? That GAT remodelling is a disgrace. Seeing the entrance alone tells me what low level job they did there. For N600million, the aviation minister ought to be cooling off in a jail in a sane country.
Your fore fathers must be fools and eediots. No wonder you are bootlicking and praise singing anything white. How dare you tell me to sharrap. Animal. Buffon. Make your point if you want to, but next time, if they born your father after your mother, then pass insults on me and see how I will send it back to your stuoopid fore bearers. Goat. |
^^^^ Just like they "prepared" for Katrina? |
You need a trip to Germany too... long over due! When a house foundation is faulty, white washing it will make no difference to the structural fault in the building. Tell your GEJ that we need Airport that befits this century not two centuries ago! If this were to be a government that knows that money spent today is an investment for tomorrow, then she would have thought twice and realize that window dressing a structure that is well over 20years is foolhardy! With the projected Air traffic growth at that Airport, does it not beckon on the FG that a new terminal is what is required? In a sane country, this opportunity will be used to open up the Benin City and Environs to global business by investing in the airport infrastructure to such as standard that in 2040, the airport can still handle the volume of passengers that will come through. This is a government by crooks, of crooks and for the crooks
What is he saying? Trying to sound like you are making sense but failing woefully in the process. Besides - what has my comment quoted got to do with your blabbings? |
Barywhyte: Shut da hell up u Bamboo! Natural disaster in ur troubled land is mostly man-made. Decades of neglect and corruption in high places account 4 majority of flood that ravaged ur poor country in recent time. Whr are the infrastructures? Where are the drainages? Erosion, bad roads, poor planning, poor weather forecast are precepts for natural disasters. 80% of ur suffering and disasters (natural or whatever) rest squarely on demonic governments running from 1960 till dateIt is very clear this time who the bamboo is. LOL |
oemmanuel: Thank God for the workable system like the USs. Prepared for the worst. Lesson for us.LOL - What preparation? Like they prevented it from happening? |
Funjay: from wat i can see, it appears this airport is being remodelled by NPDC, just like the Warri airport is runned by Shell. And if you use d brain properly, you will know that they only provided the seats on which their name is written. |
Apart from annoying Blackberry Messenger Broadcasts, where is the link to this story? |
AjanleKoko: Bros, you gbagaun.Lol. OR was refurbished for the World cup. Ok. So it is now better than all airports in Nigeria, noone is contesting that, but does that take away the fact that the remodelling are steps in the right direction? Or you want them to build an OR as a local terminal? Its so amazing. When nothing is done, we shout, when something is done, we shout its not done enough. I cant figure that out at all. When the contract for the ten lane airport road in Abuja was announced, a lot shouted on this same forum saying no need for it, and all sort of criticisms, but today, I am sure the thousands plying the roads daily are happier. But someone will sit behind his desk and internet in one remote corner of the world and begin to condemn it while the real users are happy they have something better. Thats how someone said the government is building shopping malls and calling them airports, haba? I dont geddit. |
chucky234: What a besotted goon, people like you appreciates garbage from govt debris that's why they will continue to loot this country dry.How can someone in his or her right senses say they built shopping malls and call them airports? Bros. Please whats your thinking on this your statement? You mean people are so daft like that in Nigeria? They go to shopping malls to take flights? |
chucky234: Look more like a shopping complex than an airport to me,shoprite's outer view is far better than the outside view of that airport. Why not go to shoprite to take your flights then. |
Most of the people talking about JFK, Heathrow, Oliver Tambo etc are people who havent been to these airports before. 2006 - Oliver Tambo airport was as bad as the remodelled airport - it was refurbished before the World Cup and what's the talk about it. Most people sit on the internet and search for pictures to make a point. How many airports have they been to? I bet none, they just keep talking about mediocrity like they just learnt the word. LOL. What else will you want them to do? Build Airports with Gold? Na wa. The Kotoka airport in Ghana cant even stand MM2- People will just talk no matter what - but then, no be them get their mouth? So because people smile when government officials are around then means they are boot lickers? That opinion is the worst I have listened to lately. Maybe they should be crying then when they are with govt officials. |
The same way they ran their mouth against BRT lanes - they are running their mouth against bicycle lanes without even thinking. So much for loud mouths. |
and therefore should be impeached or resign- abi? Why not complete it! Where has that happened before? Just another GEJ bashing thread. Oh - he must indeed be lieing. He promised to stop every suicide bomber with his own hands. Why has he not done so? He must be an arrogant lier. |
Most of these postings have shown vividly how people treat their parents. Simple. Or put in another way, they are people who have never given a dime to their parents but will even still want to take from them at any opportunity. OP - if you can, help your father. Dont bring your personal issues here - they will rubbish you. |
eledalo: Sniffer dogs and anti-terror squad? But they still have to open and rummage through every passengers suitcase to checkYou obviously havent stepped outside Nigeria before. |
nanidee: It really pisses me off when they start opening and putting their dirty fingers into my luggage in the name of searching. Gosh!!! I hate it so much.Story. Go to Heathrow. |
lagerwhenindoubt: Hmmm. a tight-knot indeed, perhaps you should ask @werepeLeri he is the expert on these sort of thingsLOL. No - let him ask the lawyer - he is used to all these sort of things. |
So Asthma patients are not human beings? |
Your leaders steal you dry when they are in government, they neglect public infrastructures and make them desolate. When they get out of office, they spend the same money they stole from you to bid to purchase the same public institutions they neglected while in office, and you all stay there saying Sai Baba. Una mumu too much. |

logica: Guy are you one of those idea thieves being spoken about here? Surely you know what is being spoken about here. If an idea is not new and other proposals of the same nature had been submitted, would it not be normal for the proposer to be so informed? Or what would explain the recurrent theme of being strung along just long enough to get a working knowledge of the idea before being jettisoned?Loud smelly mouth. A simple question was asked, you come bring your smelly mouth like say na you know everything? Duncey duncey dunc.e. I don steal your grandpa idea before? Can you even come up with an idea worth my effort in reading talkless of stealing it? mtcheewww. Gerrout. Mental laziness at work indeed. |
Did you bother to read the article at all? ![]() If you had, you wouldn't have written what you wrote above! You can't compare all those you mentioned to google maps in accuracy especially as it pertains to the streets around the world! The problem with Nigerians is the kind of maps we have here is still rudimentary at best, but in other part of the world, their lives depend on it, after phone calls, sms and social media, the next most used app is MAPS! And that's why there is a huge outcry when Apple removed google maps from ios6!
Off course I read all. Navteq, Tele Atlas, etc supply maps to the same google. As per Nigeria maps, you obviously havent been following the trend. The same companies - Tele Atlas, Navteq, Google etc source Nigeria maps from my company 3D Technologies. We have mapped Nigeria and popped it on Garmin Navigation systems even well before Google entered the market. The entire maps on nokia phones for Nigeria came from our company, so, whats rudimentary about Nigeria maps? Go online and see http://www.ceaser-web.com and many more. Like I said, no big deal with google maps. Crowd sourcing, which Google mostly rely on, is at best very in accurate for other countries, like Nigeria. The Google map maker is open to the public to input map features, but these are not published until some moderators approve the entries, and these moderators are non Nigerians and far away from Nigeria. Most times you make entries, the moderator write them off as wrong, so, how do you deal with that? Go to Google maps and see a few areas in Abuja alone and you will be amazed how in accurate the maps are. We speak out of experience and there is no point throwing bad water when we talk from first hand experience. |
