CMU is a private university. You need to check the CIC website to confirm if it is a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) recognized by IRCC.

Your profile seems okay. You only need to quickly repackage your application, tackle the financial and personal assets concern raised by the VO and reapply since you can't defer. UBC is a top Uni. I don't want you to miss the opportunity. No VO will expect you to have assets at age 20. If your Dad can fund your 3 or 4 years education in Turkey, it is assumed that he can fund 1-2years of Masters degree. So, work more on ur Dad's sponsorship documents. I don't think the balance in his pension account is 400k, if it is, then you may need to exclude that.
JOCng:
got my refusal letter this evening.

please does anyone have any idea how i can tackle this issue? i previously provided fathers assets and their valuation(worth about 200mil). any advice would be appreciated as i intend to reapply as soon as possible.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by westlife08: 8:01pm On Jun 28, 2019
If you are 34years or below, you can still scale Express Entry easily. I've just done a simulation of your likely points. If you're able to score 8777 in IELTS, your minimum points will be 451 which is more than enough to get you an invitation to apply for EE. This score can still be higher if you're below 34yrs and do better than 8777 in the exam.
Stell12:
Thanks for the reply. I'm in my early 30's so ...........

Please house, what's the next step for me?

All advice will be cherished.

Stell12:
Hello, with this your profile, I will strongly suggest that you consider applying through Express Entry especially if you're still under 30 years of age. Focus your energy on passing IELTS very well and you can be sure of getting to Canada in a few months. Once you get in as a PR holder, you can then pursue your career change.
Stell12:

Good morning All.

I've read and believe I need advice here.

I have a Bsc. In Accounting from Nigeria , MSC. HRM from UK. Worked for 3 years in Communications Industry and now looking to change career due to life experiences. Applying to a college in Ontario for Pre-health in hope of studying Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy. Agent advising that there may be hitches cos my degree is way higher than what I'm going for. I want to proceed but please advice .
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by westlife08: 6:36pm On May 07, 2019
Apparently, we are saying the same thing albeit differently. If you read the last paragraph of my message, i stated it clearly that it may not be compulsory but it is advisable to include the docs if you have them. At the bolded, I recently submitted a family study permit application for Canada and both myself and spouse have gotten the approval, waiting for the kids approval. I repeat, I never said it is a compulsory document. Peace
Bracha:
So, I'll try to unpack what you wrote:
You applied to the UK some years ago, was refused, now you include that document in every application.

A friend went through the entrepreneurship route and was asked to show proof of source of funds, so it's a document for that route.

But, you forget that you mentioned two things different from a Canadian study permit. The UK isn't Canada in this stead, and entrepreneurial route isn't student route. Also, according to the documents stated on the IRCC website, source of funds isn't a requirement. If one wants to include it, no p, but saying it like it's a compulsory document to include is wrong.

I said "It's not their business how you made the money - If they want to know, they can check your statement of account", and I still stand by that statement because if it were they'd have requested proof and also added on their website that it was a required document.

Like I always say, everyone should do what makes them comfortable when applying, because they aren't applying for anyone but themselves.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by westlife08: 5:26pm On May 07, 2019
I tend to disagree with you on this. Showing the source of funds in your account will DEFINITELY strengthen your chances of getting visa approval.I got a UK visa denial about two years ago and the reason the visa officer gave was that i didn't provide evidence of transactions that resulted in the balance in my company account. Since then, i have always included those evidences in all my applications( since i have them anyway and it doesn't cost me anything to include them).

In addition, a friend recently migrated to Canada via the Entrepreneurship route, the source of all the monies he transferred were thoroughly verified before he got his approval

I am not saying one can't get approval without showing evidence of source of funds, but if you can get it pls include it in your application. It will certainly makes things easier.

Bracha:
Yes, really.

It's not their business how you made the money - If they want to know, they can check your statement of account. Their business is to ascertain your eligibility to be and study in Canada, considering different factors. As for the financial factor, all they care to know is if the money in the account you submitted can cater for your studies and if it'd be available to you when needed

My opinion tho.

Thanks for your response. I will appreciate if you can share the list of documents you uploaded with your application. Did you apply for your spouse and kid on your own application or you did fresh application for each of them? Which bank card did you use to pay the application fee? Thanks

Please do. You can as well drop the questions here, so every other person can benefit.

Congratulations brother. I am about to submit a family application via online route next week. I need to ask you a few questions please. Can I pm you?
nitrogen:
Hi Guys,

Family application (study permit for myself, SOWP for wifey and TRV for my boy) on 28 Dec, upfront medical and Biometrics (on 31st).

Approval on Jan 22 for myself. Waiting for madam and my boy's approvals.

Question is, does it mean that until the primary applicant gets his passport stamped before other applications get approved or what?

Hello efam,
I got my ECA report last week and we tried to update my wife's EE profile to reflect it. The section under 'spouse education' is showing úpdated' but the CRS score did not change to reflect the additional 10 points till now. Is it advisable to delete the profile and create a new one?

A quick one for those looking for ways to increase their CRS scores by gaining points for 2 or more certificates...

We are enrolling for the Unilag HRDC Advanced Diploma in Business Administration and we hope to round off by January.
Registration is expected to end this Friday and Application fee is #7,500...

We hope this will be positively assesed and yield a 1 year evaluation outcome.
You could register if interested
Good afternoon bro, Please i am interested in this program. How sure are we that it will get positive evaluation from WES and others? I asked cos it is being organised by Unilag HRDC. I hope you get my point

Hello everybody, am new here, thou I don't kw if am in do right place but u can kindly direct me if not or give advice accordingly.
I and my family are planning to apply for Canada PR , my husband is a banker wt over 10years working experence, he has a masters and also a charterered account while I work in a private organization wt just 3years experience ,a degree in computer science and PGD in education, just want to know, who should be d primary applicant and do both of us need to write d ielts exam or just d pry applicant. He is over 41years while am in my early 30s . What are our chances and how do we start. Way forward pls. Thxs
You should clearly be the PA. Your points in age factor is between 85 to 95 while your husband can only chip in 35 points as the PA. I will advise that you both take ielts and let your hubby evaluate his Masters degree. You need to do all these to maximise your CRS score and save yourselves the unwanted lengthy stay in the pool.

I uploaded current passport and got an ADR to submit the expired pages. You might want to rethink submitting only the current one
I think what most embassies always require is your current data page and copies of all previously issued visas/resident permits in both your current and old passports.

QSola:
Tale of patience:

Apr 2017: my CRS was 378
2017 May end draw: CRS cutoff 413
June 7th 2017:IRCC changed rules
June 8th 2017: got 8 in listening, CRS = 432
Aug 2017: Cutoff dropped to 433 twice (missed by 1 point)
Aug 2017: Immediately joined 1 yr diploma course
January 2018: Gift of my 30th Birthday (CRS dropped to 427)
April 2018: CRS cutoff hovering around 440 (feeling depressed at 427)
Today June 8, 2018: Received WES report on my 1 yr diploma, accepted, and now i have 2 or more certificates

Next draw (hopefully next Wed): With my updated CRS of 459 this draw belongs to me.

Moral of the story: DON'T GIVE UP AND CRY LATER, FIGHT TILL THE END. Respect destiny and remember, TIME & PATIENCE can overcome anything. Be hopeful and never give up. Ppl with less score don't sit idly, learn french or do a 1 yr diploma, do anything in your hand to increase ur CRS.

All the best to everyone.

I admire your resilience. Your story has energise me to continue with my CRS building effort. Please where did you do the one year PGD? Help a brother

Please I'll be resuming my PGD by September semester.
What is the earliest you think I can get my degree?
Hello bro,

Please were you able to print your admission letter on NOUN website after paying for the application fee and completing the online form? I also applied for a PGD but I am having difficulty in printing out the admission letter. What is the next stage after printing? Has it been confirmed that the new semester will commence in September?

Thanks

[quote author=flosk post=68110444]Those that wants to write CIMA certificate in business accounting, 4 papers

Registration fee £77
Exam fees£55 *4=£220
Total =£297 ~N143,000(confirm your self)

Materials are sold but expensive : around £960 for the 4

But i found this site www.astranti dot com. He has summarised notes, exam kits and mock questions all for free.

You must be ready to dedicate time and be ready to read and master the exam questions techniques and even the syllabus.

I think paper f1-f3 in ACCA is easier than this cima. But it seems the hard way seems to be the only /fastest way for now.

The exam is administered by pearson vue centres so you can write your exams at any time you wish.

Physical calculators are not allowed as only the onscreen calculator is being used.

But if you are an efiko, you can do it in record time.
If you want to land in canada on time, you can do it.
If you read Economics or anything related, Paper BA1(first paper) will be a walk in the park.

I have personally tried to attempt some of the mock questions. Not bad in my opinion.

Just dedicate time to it.

All these info I got from Google including the snaphot of the husband claiming his wife got 1 year college certificate evaluation from wes.

The trick is that if a qualification is uk / European based, there is a high probability of positive evaluation from wes.

Hope I have tried?
Oya you too press google grin

[/quote

Waoh! Thanks a lot for this info. This is a good way to cross the 'two or more certificates' hurdle. The exam cost per module is £70 though. I've just checked that in www.cimaglobal.com

A good idea is for your wife to take a postgraduate course or ACCA as has been suggested here before. That will take your points well over 440
Thanks for the suggestion. We will consider the PGD idea

Good Evening Guys,

I have been following this thread for a few weeks now, i must say that you guys are doing a fantastic job of assisting new converts like us. God bless you all. Myself and wifey recently agreed to give this Canada immigration a trial. We decided that she becomes the PA cos of age factor (she is 36 while i am 45+). IELTS done last month (Wifey L8.5 R9 W7 S7.5 ; Self L7.5 R7 W6.5 S6). We are currently awaiting ECA report from WES for my spouse Bsc certificate. Our CRS score currently is 410. It is so low obviously cos of our low score in age factor. My questions are:

1.) I read somewhere on this thread that to get maximum point in language, one must score L8.5 R8 W7.5 S7.5 does this mean that my spouse need to retake the IELTS or her score is sufficient for maximum point?

2.) I noticed that if i evaluate my Masters degree and improve on my IELTS score, our CRS score will move to 420, so i have decided to do that. However, the score is still significantly low compare to the current 442 cut off. What options do we have as we don't have any family ties in Canada which would have enable us consider the Provincial nominee route.

NB: We both work in financial services sector each with 10+ years experience.

Thanks as I await suggestions
