Nice to have you guys on board @Ericalesh You can start by training and obtaining an HPPL from a school in the US, Uk, Ukraine or SA NCAT I heard is planning to buy a chopper. Maybe they will start Helicopter training soon. I'm sure it will be very expensive though. With an HPPL you could apply to Bristow or Aero and they might take U and sponsor you to obtain HCPL etc Alternatively, you can obtain a PPL (fixed wings) in these countries and do a short conversion course to HPPL. (This is a cheaper option). you can negotiate with most of the schools so that they can tailor the programme to your specific requirements and needs. @Superboi I did the bristow thing earlier this year too. Reached the final stage but wasnt called up. I'm glad I got the exposure and challenge |
Don't let this thread sink down -----Don't let it stall---- |

Week days shouldnt be a problem for me. I just need to know the time and date well b4 hand. You can reach me on whamatix@yahoo.com |
Hey! I noticed NCAT Zaria (http://www.ncatz-ng.org/) has broken up their PPL Training course into two. There is the "Private Pilot License (ground studies)" which costs about N260k and then the "Private Pilot License Flight Training" which cost about N1.2M Completing the ground course still means you still are not eligible for a PPL License from NCAA, but I feel you will have a stronger edge if you'd approach an airline OR apply for sponsorship (Aero, Bristow, Virgin) I think I need to visit NCAT Zaria for myself. I need to get 1st hand info and probably advise from some of their friendly Pilots (. . . investigating all my options) |
Thanks, sir. |
Its on the career link on their website. deadline is 17th July 08. There are also openings for Ticketing and Reservation Officers (benin) and a few others. This is a different trend. They are making these opportunities for ab initio open to all. Lets hope Arik and some others would follow |
hey AdamuW I'm just getting to see this thread. I'm in Abuja and I'm ready to zoom down to the venue from wia I am now. I hope I'm not too late. i don't mind even just to meet u guys physically even if I am late |
As I said, mine was one chinese make like that. It had a 8x6 work area and it went for about N12,000. (See www.buyright.biz) The shop in the palms is PC Outlet. They also have branches at Ikorodu, and VI. My friend got his WACOM in Kaduna. i was surprised when he told me |
Check that computer shop in the Palm (they have Digital Pens/Pads -Genius Products) I bought mine from www.buyright.org (i cant rem if its buyright.com or .org, just google it). Mine wasnt a WACOM though. There's nothing like a WACOM product my brother. A friend of mine bought his from MicroManna near the Stadium in Kaduna. Try to find out from ur friends in KD. WACOMS are scarce in this country. The market is just opening their eyes to the thing. WACOMS are costly. the product I bought was just one chinese product like that. It has some issues. |
Its good to have more professionals and other enthusiasts joining us on the thread. Your contributions would go a long to building a knowledge base for aspiring aviators like me. ILORIN INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE OF AVIATION Any one with any news on how far they have gone in establishing this new flight school? Its one of Saraki's ideas for his state. I hear they have actually started to put some physical structure on ground I hear Virgin Nigeria is planning to set up a flying school in Lagos too. I don't have any confirmation but I hear it would be located in Ikeja. |

Hey people! I've asked this lovely lady out. And I've been waiting for an answer for 2 months now (Call me mumu 4 love). She's a cute lady. Respectful, decent (take home to mama rating), pretty, unmaterialistic, God fearing, And now, each time I try to give her space/time (in days) to think she complains that I'm ignoring her. Anyway, just tot it would make a good TOPIC. HOW LONG WOULD U WAIT IN SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES? LADIES, please I'd like to hear your views to |

See JUNEI2 GUARDIAN, PAGE 50 for Bristow helicopters Advert seeking for interested applicants |
I heard they had invited some folks to do aptitude tests and interviews at about the same time Bristow Helicopters were conducting theirs earlier this year. The Bristow Advert is out again. They are seeking for young guys to train for choppers. Those 8 guys, did they have their PPLs or CPLs? or were they without licenses when they applied? |
