Hello all, from the experience of folks that have successfully penetrated a job exam centre and written the exams, even when not invited OR lack one of the requirements (over-age, lower Academic Grade, No NYSC cert) I want to know if after the Exam, and when they get called for the interview having scaled the 1st screening, do they get screened out again? Even after a good performance in the exam? Anyone with similar experience? |

Culture / Re: I Want To Learn Some Yoruba Basic Words And Phrases by wham(m): 8:32pm On Nov 19, 2007 |
Not much progress learning the letters without learning the proper pronunciations. EXcept if u plan to compose a love letter in yoruba for the guy with what You've learnt so far e.g Ore mi toto(r), Ekaro. Ekasan. Eku irole. Mo ni ife re toto(r). Odabo Ore mi. azn_shorty *Find someone who could record these the pronunciations as a WAV file and email to u. HINT: Yoruba is in a way like French. Its got a lot of "tone". You can't just pronounce the words anyhow All the best Amigo |

Nairaland / General / Re: Mouth Odour: Can You Stand It In A Friend? by wham(m): 1:26pm On Nov 17, 2007 |
Amigo, It all depends on how close u are to him, how free he is wit u and what cadre he is in your office( are u guys on the same level or is he lower?) 'Cos telling him might be the beginning of a slow cold war between u guys. It would be better if it were a fellow guy to tell him about his scented mouth. Shei u know guys have big egos. I don't advice u tamper with his. Just leave the mouth for where im wife keep am jeje. But no let the smell kill u sha. Stay away from the sewer You can buy chewing gum and be giving him every morning as he comes into the office. It would douse the smell Just Kidding |

Health / Re: My Roommate Smokes: How Can It Affect Me? by wham(m): 9:57am On Nov 15, 2007 |
So with all these replies to your post u ought to know that the guy should leave OR u have to leave the room 4 him. I found myself exactly in the same circumstances back in school. I ended up being a smoker myself after long months of resistance. I had gotten addicted to the menthol sensation subconsciously. Thank God I'm off the habit now. You too could get adicted even beyond your seeminly strong will against smoking. Its a subconcious thing. The "smoking" may seem anti-social and unhealthy now but u will not see it so when u discover the sensation (the story of the pathetic 2nd hand smoker). Why doesnt the guy smoke outside the room? Have u confronted him about this issue? What are u waiting 4? The guy definitely doesnt respect your privacy and your health. Your Health is yours to protect. Your brother obviously doesnt give much thought to it. Leave that room and find a home of your own if things dont change (u could move into a friends place 1st). You have your own life to live (I am assuming u and your brother rented the appartment). This is LIFE |
TV/Movies / Re: Cost Of Buying Air Time For A TV Show? by wham(m): 8:38am On Nov 15, 2007 |
NTA consider themselves the largest TV ntwork in Africa. Theve gone International. You could start with the local stations or one of the other Networks like Silverbird or Channels. If your prog is good enough u would soon be able to convince sponsors who are ready to pay good cash. Advertising is costly (Millions) |
TV/Movies / Re: Cost Of Buying Air Time For A TV Show? by wham(m): 9:12pm On Nov 14, 2007 |
NTA Independent Programmes (Airtime only) N750,000 for 30mins prog.
