Rosskiki: Excellent write-up, OP.
I wrote an article on this same thing a year ago.
''Nigeria's main problem is not corruption, but lack of money'':
https://www.nairaland.com/4811946/nigerias-main-problem-not-corruption Why are you always giving excuses for bad leadership across Nigeria? Lack of money is Nigeria’s problem now? Before the problem was Nigeria had too much money and didn’t know how to spend it according to some ex military general, now the problem is lack of money? Keep making excuses for pisspoor leadership in Nigeria. |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Is Not Rich. A Must Read Nigeria Has A Smaller National Budget Than Alge by whatisthetruth: 7:08pm On Oct 22, 2019 |
and who made Nigeria poor?
Is it not the same corrupt and ineffective leaders you Nigerians love to elect?
Since we achieved democracy, what caliber of leaders have you been placing at the helm of affairs at all leadership positions?
You sell your votes, for a pittance, for tribal superiority and other dumb emotional reasons, yet expect to progress?
Even now, with the right leaders in place, I’m talking the best leaders in the 21st century, Nigeria can be a superpower in as little as 10 years.
What don’t we have? Is it food, is it minerals? We have Uranium, bitumen, oil, moderate climate, coal...
What more could we really ask for, Gold? Yes we have that too!
So what is the problem?
You claim you are poor but yet you pay your politicians wages that some CEOS of multinational companies would be envious of. If truly you are poor now, why not start paying your politicians 100k per month? Why not cancel presidential fleets and dining budgets? After all, you don’t go to a poor mans house, expecting to be served Don Perignon. |

F117nighthawk: I pity people going to this zoo, nothing ever works in this country, can u imagine this one lion breaking away and how long it's taking them to tame it,they had to fly in rangers from abuja to tranquilise a lion in kano, what a shame and disgrace. The other time we had 6million was eaten by an animal in this same kano zoo, why are we so primitive and backward in this country. Are we not fedup of all this shame and disgrace? The black man hardly has any shame to begin with. |

imhotep: Ok
Be careful with technology Bruv, you had to pick out the worst of technology. I feel that whites had to embrace technology or suffer grave consequences, something that blacks didn’t have to deal with. Take Nigerian weather for instance, you can lay in the farm from morning till night everyday, through out the year, with nothing but some mild heat and rains to contend with. In whites countries though, they had to contend with severe weather, like, temperatures ranging from below freezing to scorching heat, earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis, tornadoes... I feel like they had to adapt or die and carried that mentality on to continue to create. |

Just close your eyes and imagine for a second that Nigeria is the only country on Earth. What kind of technology could we employ? That’s my major question here.
Remember that, simple air conditioner, you won’t be able to buy in this scenario, cause awon LG and Panasonic don’t exist.
Could we even make a tv to watch all by ourselves? |

SarkinYarki: Black people don't have the ability to create something original , they can only mimic a process ..The only gift the black man came to earth with is the ability to entertain , the black race is a great way entertainer , they can dance , run , Bleep , sing but to create na lie it can't happen I hate generalizing, but the general data collated over the years would tend to support your theory. Look at physical sports across the world, blacks tend to dominate, yet majority of black neighborhoods across the globe can’t seem to govern themselves. Look at the NBA for instance, blacks have dominated continuously for decades since they first made entry into the league. |

I am just thinking like,
If tomorrow, Whites/Chinese/Indians.. don’t exist and it’s only Africa that exists, how will Nigeria be like?
All the technology we are used to seems to come from them, from iPhone to techno, Sony to Panasonic, car engines to car transmissions.
So how would Nigeria be like?
Would we still be able to fly by manufacturing planes?
Would we be able to invent and watch tv?
Would be able to lunch a satellite into space for communication?
...
Or would we simply just farm and revert back to huts? |

thelastPope: Am not saying the 4 mins drive distance is bad. am just saying why announce to us as major news, a step of 4 mins drive that is not even done yet? The orile-mile 2 track will be concluded by june according to the article. Am not against the project, only against the propaganda the project is being used for. Let them complete a significant part, then they can blow their trumpet, no questions asked. For now, it is an ongoing project just like the FG projects. The FG is even actually ahead because their is already functioning and in use. The Lagos-Kano route is live. The Abuja City is being laid and is far more than 4 mins drive. The Enugu-PH is being laid. The lagos-Ibadan fast track is being laid. I don't need to hold brief for the FG but the point is, if we are being bombarded by the FG the way ACN cronies are opening 5 threads per day on this lagos light rail, the politics section will need 12 moderators. You got it right! They were just announcing and announcing and still nothing in 2019. |

ba7man: Provide us with pictures of the Abuja light rail and we'll appreciate it if its good. At least the internet will help us follow the progress in this country. And also, the total project length is 54km.....I'm sure you've never witnessed a rail project of this scale in your lifetime.....except u're 80 years old or somthing. You're just mad at this news and u need to give us a reason why.....Yeah, and if the FG reveal every step they take on NL, it will probably expose the monumental corruption on-goin in this country and it might start a revolution in which you and your paymasters are wiped out. Wow, but FG finished Abuja own, but Lagos that own that was supposed to be ready in June 2013 is still not available now in October 2019. |

uuzba: You can't use interlocking stones for places where trailers and heavy equipment will pass. Their weight will compress and damage it. Never assume that it's only Okada or tricycles that ply the road. Design for the worst case and heaviest use with rain and traffic. There's a way they use granite stones and cement packed to like 1foot deep before using coal tar on top to finish.
That way OR adding iron rods to the road as if they are casting a building slab Good info, didn’t know that. |
Politics › Re: Senate Asks FG To Declare State Of Emergency On Federal Roads by whatisthetruth: 7:51pm On Oct 15, 2019 |
How much is interlocking stone that government would still be struggling with road?
Just about 10 boys can lay a couple hundred meters per day and finish any road in Nigeria, or at least, most roads. |

donfineboi: I have told you my solution. If you feel the present Govt is unable to profer solution to your basic and strategic demands you simply vote them out and vote in someone capable of doing your bidding. Why is it so hard for you to understand?
You people are just unbelievable. You want change but you vote the same inept Govt to champion the change you crave so much. And you blame people with no connection or reltion with the Govt for your lack!! You need your brains checked. Don’t mind the disgusting tribal Nigerians. Just watch next Lagos election, it will now become Igbo this, Yoruba that. They will all forget about their problems then, but now, they will be forming as if Lagos or Nigeria’s problems can’t be solved. How can it be solved when every election cycle, you betray common sense for emotional tribalistic reasoning, thus shunning the technocrats and honest candidates, for party strongmen, just to able to beat their chest that they defeated another tribe in elections. The whole Nigeria is messed up due to the population always installing useless leaders, some selling their votes sef. |
