Emmmm, I believe this post is meant for me to benefit from others with larger experience. I am a network admin in an ISP somewhere in d east and I manage 4 servers, about 60 wireless clients and a cafe of 40 systems. Not much? Love the IT sector and embrace the challenges that comes with it but I know am still lacking experience.

For now my greatest challenge is locking out unwanted clients I do use mac filtering but it's so had to do so effectively as the base I use at the moment only supports filtering for 20 clients. So I hide my ssid and use the filter list unwanted access instead of the other way round. So any idea as to how I would achieve a better WAN security will be appreciated.

I will also love to know more about linux.(how do I start)

Those 1 of those software on my site is responsible for auto scan during boot up while the other is for EPG. I guess U will have to install both.( I installed both myself)

After the installation did ur decoder scan automatically? if yes, don't worry just turn off the decoder n turn it on again. it will scan the remaining channels.

Retrospectively, most people that witnessed d beginning of 2008 were not alive to see it's glorious end. But it pleases d Lord to keep & make u part of his glory in 2009 inspite of ur short comings. This is an indication & assurance dat ur dreams & heart desires 4 2009 shall be granted. CONGRATS & HAPI NEW YEAR.

The software helps translate Zee Cenema for those that luv Indian movies. Auto scan and also the EPG module.

Installation Procedures:

go to www.whimsicalcom.net and click on support. you will three links. (I advice you use the zipped one)

After downloading the software to a usb from
Disconnect the dish from the decoder (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT).
Go to MENU, INSTALLATION, PUT IN YOUR PASSWORD(If you haven't changed it the default is 0000). The go to Transfer the USB UPGRADE. At this prompt select any on the two then press the blue botton on ur remote control.

Please use internet explorer, if you're using firefox you might experience that problem. but I will try work on that later in the day.

I want to drop Hitv decoder update software and how to do the flash update on my site but I hope hitv won't hang me. Just to help subscribers that are far from the hitv office.

What do you think?

Of what use is posting the magazines to our door steps when it arrives 3 days to the end of that particular month?

I saved my gals no. with Lolo and she's worth it.

I upgrade my hitv decoder to 2.0.7 but I don't think there's any difference. even the zee cinema subtitling or is there any trick as to make it work?

Hope U guys know U can do a usb upgrade now? I did mine through usb and it worked but first disconnect the decoder from from  dish.

Hitv please put all necessary updates on your site so one can download and apply instead of making clients work miles to get their decoders updated.
