Thanks for ur care. It was a very bad xperience and I had to get myself a new decoder. As for getting a dstv card, it's far from reach as any dealer that has one will charge between 13-15k as dstv don't sale smart cards alone. I had to get a complete set during their promo. as It appeared to be cheaper that getting just the card.

Anyway take care and good luck to those who want to try the upgrade.

About the two hi channels that are not showing. I upgraded my strong 4653x decoder with a software from strong site and the sites came up. But after like 10-15min my decoder went off and didn't come up again. am not sure if the update coursed it but am sure it's a software problem because when I put it on my Tv set indicates there is communication but nothing comes up even the decoder doesn't show any led light. I had to buy another strong decoder that as I could not afford losing the chelsea-liverpool match as I also use the same decoder for dstv.

If anyone knows how I can get the decoder working please contribute.(I have tried the decoder to decoder transfer and that did not work).

One with the mind could try the update as it solved the problem of those two channels before the decoder went off.(I CAN'T SAY IF THE UPDATE CAUSED THE DECODER TO CRASH. SO U ARE STRICTLY ON UR OWN)

I am currently using Gilat and Their service has been frustrating. I need to  know if there is any provider that can give fast and reliable broadband internet. When I mean reliable they should be reliable.

you will see two HITV links on your upper right hand corner.

download both and save to a flash driver (A very good one).

Before starting the update make sure you disconnect the cables from ur dish as leaving it connected to the decoder might corrupt your decoders software.

Procedure:

GO TO MENU ON UR DECODER, INSTALLATION(enter ur password), SOFTWARE UPDATE, USB, then read the information on your screen and follow the prompt.

NOTE: The light must not go off during this process. I will advice you use a gen set.

I was playing around with my decoder today all came across dis channel (Euronews on 2399/H/26480). check it out

Connect both decoders with an rs232 cable and have them powered on. With the good decoder connected to the tele,

* Step 1: Press menu on your remote & click ok
* Step 2: Enter the password ---0000
* Step 3: Scroll down to transfer & click ok
* Step 4: Scroll down to Software upgrade & click ok
* Step 5: click on the blue button on your remote & click ok to upgrade.
* The decoder will show the progress reading in % and when it's 100% it will restart by itself.

You decoder should be ok after this process.

(NB: NEVER USE NEPA FOR THIS PROCESS TO AVOID ANY DAMAGE) the last time I dropped a detailed info on upgrading you still went ahead to do it with NEPA. I believe U might have learnt ur lesson but incase U haven't (Be ready to buy a new decoder)

Well my bros, why not try acting a bit. Schedule a trip out of town for a period of 2weeks. Then try as much as possible to monitor your wife's movement from, where she goes often how long she stays out and so on. You might be lucky to catch both red handed.

But be warned, what ever you find, you will get. So you've got to have a very strong mind.

Good morning, please how come this so called Hitv claim they are truly Nigeria and yet they don't show any Nigerian league? Especially Nigeria international matches even the ongoing tournament. Don't you all think it's strange because am beginning to see them as nothing close to being Nigeria.
