Why are Yoruba even putting up a fight when they will still give in Ibos have weighed us and seen that we are light, and the more we back off the more they come for us. We Yoruba have really lost it long ago. |
FFK is epileptic! FFK the Akuwarapa! FFK the crackhouse rat! |
This is the man they said is about to decamp Tell them jare! |
Awujale, one king that can't be bought! http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/03/16/how-jonathan-muazu-belittled-ijebus-monarchs/ |
Jail is better cos the nightmare would last longer than a month. |
It's an underwear and shouldn't be worn in front of guests. |
Omotola all the way. Once pretty naturally will always be. Unlike gene whom you dare not zoom in on her face, all hideous pictures, except when covered with chalk like ogbologbo asewo. |
The boko that tried to kill buhari is operating from asorock. mustymatic: |
Oh ok! |
It can't be! The black ones are witches of jonathan's peers, these are fake! He will lose cos the real white ones have the final say! The white witches are compassionate, loving and protect the voiceless, and wouldn't want jonathan. |
Why is the wife's name withheld? We know where women with capable hands of doing this are usually from. |
That's Yoruba for you, and it's not my fault that your language has no depth like Yoruba. Go to any Yoruba and they will tell you. Speak for yourself, we know the word has no meaning in ibo, you just wanted to steal it. kelvin100: |
Or that the 'sweet crude' is so sugary they add it to chocolate, or that family member you call honey is so sweet your blood sugar goes up when you see them Let's wait till july when the the 16 Agemos will come and respond.adeitoro: |
Whichever way you look at it's still a Yoruba word and simply means peeled skin in Yoruba! Oyin - honey O yin - it's skinned Bo - peeled |
You are trying to derail the thread with your abusive words cos your claims have no legs to stand on. It won't take me 5 mins to scatter the thread if I want, but not now. You are made for a joke and that is on now. What has sweet got to do with 'sweet crude" oil? Get that first like I asked you earlier before we proceed. You have burrowed most of the words you use today, your language is almost dead. safarigirl: |
No they don't mean the same! But for words burrowers like you they will mean same! Oyin - honey or sweet Oyi - dizziness or fainting spell You couldn't have called whitemen same name they called you, come back with less lame claim! safarigirl: |
Yoruba use sweet in place of honey, so what is 'sweet' doing in nigeria's "crude oil'? Dumb died dumb bury am! safarigirl: |
Yoruba has history so rich that nothing can be added to it. Post a link where the Itsekiris who speak ijebu and bear Yoruba names say they are not Yoruba. As for Edo, there are many tribes there including Yoruba, if names, orisa and oba are to go by. Names like Modupe, Toyin, Taiye/Kehinde are Yoruba names with no meaning or origin in general Edo population except those who probably came with the oba, remember we don't speak the same language. Names are pointers to one's origin! BraniacX: |

Yoruba had what they called 'Abidi' according to my granny, but that's not the issue. I'm not a japanese and chinese language expert, but going by your way of always claiming what belongs to others, I had to think that you got it from asia. You have given eveyone the impression that nothing about you is authentic. ezeagu: |
I'm not talking about what you recently stole from Japanese ok! The whole world already knows that there's nothing original about ibos, always stealing. Even town, culture and words aren't spared! ezeagu: |
Ibo don't have enough parlance historically, they have always stolen Yoruba words and they will continue to do so. Please let them, after all we are speaking and writing english, so there's nothing wrong in ibo language containing even 50% Yoruba words. Yoruba helped wrote ibo language on paper and taught them how to read, so it's perfectly understandable how they adopted several words from us. |
See what people who come on nairaland to act like saints do to fellow human. Bunch of cowards taking out their frustration on poor innocents when politicians are there for them to stone. |
Ibadan alone is bigger than the entire SE. ChristyG: |
Why has Osun alone been making news about unpaid salaries? I thought some states are doing worse. Most states in Nigeria are guilty of this. Take politics out it. How many states below have now gone ahead and paid the workers? https://www.nairaland.com/2061417/unfair-22-state-governors-owing |
Haha! We need handwritting analysts. |
Word ooo! Lagbaja!!! The pdp rats that think with their stomachs will soon be here! |
Apc handlers should be all over this! Please run with it! You don't leave a news as juicy as this to go to waste! |
With your language I can see that you are in a rehab and a step closer to a loony bin, sorry, I won't be joining you there, goodluck!seemples: |
The federal government has slept through it all but, someone has to do the job. Thank God for Fashola! NairaMode: |
Does your federal government know there's anything called ebola? datguru: |
