@ tellbabe i'll tell you for sure that Nigeria guys are really cool. For one they know how to live large and well. And they are no misers. To all the the guys in the house, Nigeria babes are the best breed you can get anywhere. They are homely and very supportive. And they are ladies of virtue and really have high regard for marriage. But their problem? They front a lot. But you guys suppose don understand them by now. |
Diego's parents died in a car accident. They were on their way to Mexico city. They were invited by Juan Fransico. |
@ Oasis There is actually a national ID in Nigeria. I am shocked to hear that some Nigerians based in Nigeria dont know about its existence. The registration/application for the ID was well advertised and the registeration was on for more than a week(if i remember correctly). I registered for the ID in Ogun state, some of my folks registered in Lagos, my sister and her family registered in Abuja and now we all have our national ID! Even my brother in US has it. I wouldn't blame the government but some Nigerians for their negligence and non-challant attitude. My elder in Nigeria doesn't have the national ID. Why? He thought it was all crap and refused to register. Now he wants it but doesn't know how to get it! Many Nigerians, like him, refused to register, and to me, they are at fault. For those who dont have the National ID and want it, go to the L.G. secretariat nearest to you and inquire. They should be able to help you out. |
The most embarasing moment of my life was during my NYSC days. I arrived quite late at the NYSC orientation camp. And so, had 2 ask for direction from others. The next morning i asked where the bathroom was as i wanted to have my bath. I was told to go behind the hostel, that that was where ladies had their bath. What i saw when i got there really shocked me: the so called bathroom was an open space between to hostels, and there, taking their bath, were more than 60 ladies. I didnt like people seeing me nude (as i was very conservative in nature). I decided to wait until "the traffic" reduced. The more i waited, the more the traffic increased. More ladies just kept trooping in to have their bath. I decided to brave it and take my bath. I looked for a good spot, drooped my bucket of water and untied my towel. I had barely dropped my towel when i heard a very loud scream; "CHINEKE, SEE OYIBO YANSH, I NEVER SEE OYIBO YANSH BEFORE.!!!" This was uttered by a lady who just came out of one of the rooms to the corridor. (I am very light skinned and easily taken for a white most times). People rushed out from their rooms to see the cause of that outburst. There was so much laughter as some of them began to analyse, compare and contrast, scrutinize my ... um... my features loudly. To say i was embarassed is a gross understatement. I turned red instantly. |
Sorry, i forgot to add that i'll like to work in an ICT/IT company. But any other good company will do, as most companies have IT department. Thanks |

A virgin or not a virgin? This has never been a criteria for me in choosing a life partner. But one of my top criteria in choosing a life partner is this: no sex for us before marriage. If it's fine with him, then i am down with him. If he's not, then... If i get a non virgin, no qualms as far as he aint got HIV/AIDS or STDs. If he is a virgin, then i am more the blessed. |

Hi everyone, i just want to set one thing straight. Christ Embassy website wasn't designed by a whity. It was designed by a Nigerian, based in Nigeria, who happens to be a good friend of mine. Though he had some help from some co-workers, u guys will agree with me that www.christembassy.org is one of the best sites ever designed. i believe we have wonderful web designers in Nigeria. the problem is these guys dont market themselves. if you like Christ Embassy website, then i know you'll like all his(my friend) other designs. Check out his official website @ www.defaultltd.com. You will also get to see the list of his clients. Check it out and let me know if you dont believe that Nigerians are really talented. May be, you could get him to design YOUR OWN WEBSITE!!! |
Oh oh! Sorry about that gross error. And thanks for the correction. |
Who is the thief? Nigerian Customs or Fedex? Hello everyone. I am kind of new here. I think this a good place to discuss the plight of Nigerians in the hands of Courier services. I have a pathetic story to tell. See, my brother in the States sent us some items through FedEx. The items include a CPU, a teddy, 3 textbooks, 1 slim digital camera, 1 discman, 2 wristwatches and some chocolates. He had to pay close to $600 to as delivery fee and he was assured that the goods will be delivered to our doorstep. You can imagine how we felt when FedEx came to our house without our goods but a bill of 63,000 naira. They claimed it was customs duty for our. Well, what could we do? We ran around, gathered that amount and went to their office to pay the so called "customs duty". We were once more "assured" that our goods will be brought to our home the next day, which was a Friday. FedEx came as promised with our goods, but guess what? They said we had to pay the sum of 3,000 as NDLEA charges before we could collect our parcel. Since we didn't have 3,000 naira with us, the delivery man took our parcel back with him. we had to wait till Monday to pay the money and collect our parcel. To make matters worse, when we opened the parcel, we found out that the discman and one wristwatch was missing. Also, the installation CD for the digital camera was broken and one has to pay $135 to download the software. You can imagine how furious we all were. Please can someone tell me if this is the norm with courier services in Nigeria? And which courier service do you recommend we use in future? Pplease I need your views. |
