Police force is a government institution.

A sexist and discriminatory law guiding a public service should be unconstitutional in a secular democracy.

What your little article up there did was extrapolate and extrapolate based on an FBI investigation that alleged and nothing more. The said study wasn't released by the FBI by the way and when the Director of the FBI was quizzed on CNN about the matter he stated that there was no such thing as systematic racism in the police force but of course there were bad eggs.



With the way american criminals own and use guns when committing their crimes, it would be very stupid to suggest that the police who are going to be confronting them the most not bear arms.

and of course racism exists, among every race if I might add, and there is police brutality, across all races as well. Saying that black have it the worst is just out right lying and you know it. In all reported cases of police encounter with black folks that led to the demise of said black folk, which one can you point out that was clearly an innocent black man going about his day and a police man showed up and put an end to that?

The fact that you can even claim that all deadly police encounters with african americans were as a result of the african americans not being innocent (in other words, the african americans were doing something illegal), shows how much of a racist you are to yourself. So much self hate.

In response to number 1, you'll have to admit that the US is a very unique country.
I don't think there's any other country in the world where you can get a gun as easily as the US.
Due to the fact that a lot of citizens are armed, it makes sense for police officers to be armed as well in response.

That is the point that I am getting to. Many conservative Americans believe that it is normal to get shot by police if you refuse to put your hands up or not respond to police orders (even if one is unarmed). They fail to consider how weird such notions would be to Europeans.

This is incorrect. There are only 3 countries in Europe that don't require their police to carry firearms, namely, UK, Ireland & Norway.

There have been documented incidents of police brutality involving the Spanish Police.

Police brutality is also rampant in France, and like in America, minorities ( in this case, Arabs and Blacks) are targeted more often than whites.

In Germany, police brutality is a common occurrence as well, although underreported.

UK
Ireland
Iceland
Malta- Many do not routinely carry firearms
France- Not all are equipped with firearms
Belgium- only recently do more of their officers carry firearms as a result of terrorism in France.

I can list many more European countries where only special police carry guns. When most of the citizens don't have guns, there is no need for guns.

Also, I was of the mindset that police brutality in the EU is nothing compared to the USA.

Also note that france is home to many riots.

The main point of the thread is to point out how people believe in things without questioning them.

Many muslims do not think about their faith- they just believe in it. That is what leads to fundamentalism.

There are some muslims who question their faith. There are those who reject certain interpretations within islam- muslims who reject punishment for apostasy, reject polygamy etc
