humblemoi: if that's all you have submit it..they look at the bigger picture not just your call log. I used my iPhone mostly as it showed my husband picture and name on the call log but I also submitted some from my husband's android which shows like you have said just my name. if you want to go further, screenshot the name as saved on your phone so that way they can see the name & number of your wife. Add this particular screenshot at the start of your word document and then add the actual call logs. Always have a title for each word document for example I wrote: August whatsapp call log from Applicant phone showing wife's name as XXXX. Hope this answers your question 2 Likes |

Joyce27: You apply only after 6 months of payslips and corresponding bank statements (FULL 6 MONTHS). They won’t accept Just 4 months of payslips. It is the same even if your wife is your sponsor...rule states minimum 6 months |

nethio: That is the Applicant's Family Section details so yes it will be the wife/spouse details they need there and further down they ask for father & mother details which will be the Husband/applicant father & mother details. Remember the spouse is also the sponsor so you will also need to fill in the wife details in the sponsor section too. |

you pay for priority at TLS website under 'added services', it is called Settlement priority and its £551 currently. on the visa4uk website u pick standard. settlement does not have super priority option. Make sure you include your payment receipt with your bundles you send to Sheffield and write priority on the package you are using to send your documents. Hope this helps. oxygyne: |

Hello good people. I will like to ask if I as the sponsor will be allowed to accompany my husband to his biometric appointment in ikeja lagos. I’m currently visiting and wondering if that is allowed as I do not want to go and end up being refused to enter the building. Thanks |

Please how did you pay for the visa fee online using a Nigerian master card. my husband in Nigeria is the one with the money and he is unsure if he can make the full payment with his card or if he has to transfer the money to my bank account in the UK to pay for it. he has a zenith mastercard. MreSBee:Taken from Appendix FM 1.7 (Financial Requirement) I advised you through all the pages of the document. it also gives examples The only difference in Category A between salaried and non-salaried employment is how gross annual salary or employment income is calculated: Where the person is in salaried employment – they must have been paid throughout the period of 6 months prior to the date of application at a level of gross annual salary which equals or exceeds the level relied upon in the application. Therefore the figure used towards the requirement will be the lowest level of annual salary received during the 6 month period. Where the person is in non-salaried employment – the level of gross annual employment income relied upon in the application will be the annual equivalent of the person’s average gross monthly income from non-salaried employment in the 6 months prior to the date of application (where that employment was held throughout that period). To calculate this annualised average for non-salaried employment in Category A the following calculation should be used: (Total gross income from employment held throughout the 6 month period, divided by 6) multiplied by 12 = Income from non-salaried employment that can be counted towards the financial requirement. for my application I am using Category A-Salaried because I know even my lowest in the 6 months exceeds. for yours you can use Category A- unsalaried as her income varied due to sick leave & overtime worked, so they will calculate it as above. Hope this helps. |

it depends on the employment category you pick. if you choose category A salaried employment (where the sponsor has been with the same employer for 6 months at least) and you submit 6 months pay slips and bank statements, then they use the lowest figure within that 6 months to calculate the annual salary. so if your wife earns less than £1550 in any month within the 6 months submitted that is the figure they will use. so I advise you be careful and not think they will consider only the employer letter. make sure no month is below £1550 and if there is and you are sure she earns more than £18,600 a year then consider using Category A un-salaried (where income are variable) and submit 12 months worth of evidence. Thanks so much for your response. She actually makes well over 1550 per month... her monthly salary is around £1630.... so from, your 9300/6 months (which I believe was come about by dividing 18600 by 2) is well covered with her 1630 monthly. But you didn’t get what I wrote clearly... she actually was paid a few hundreds of pounds less (not £100 as you thought initially). Not sure about how much exactly (I asked her tonight and she’s going to confirm exactly how much was paid for the particular month tomorrow) About what her company will write in her letter, I can categorically tell you that I’m sure the company will write her full annual salary (almost 20k) in the letter. Already, in her employment letter/contract handed to her when she wanted to start the job, it was clearly written there her annual salary. So the company option should be fine. So if this is true, there’s nothing to worry about? Please gurus in the house (Lexusgs430 and Justwise and others) please share your opinions and experiences about the issue raised. Thanks in anticipation and special thanks to Aphrodite007 for the prompt response [/quote] 1 Like |

Hi everyone good afternoon. I will like to know where one can contact regarding a change in circumstances with a 6 months uk visit visa. My now husband applied for one before we got married and put NO to the answer of if he has any family in the U.K. But now that we are married he now has me here in the U.K. as family. Can he still use this visa? And if yes is there anywhere he can inform about his now marital status To me. Thanks 1 Like |

I still do not understand how home office will prefer printed whatsapp chat logs (exported on a word document) to an actual screenshot of the messages on the app (picture format). I just exported my chat and apart from it being hundreds of pages, I can literally edit whatever I want on it however, with a screenshot I cannot change anything. Just ranting lol any experience from others so far? what style do you prefer? 1 Like |

Hi everyone I have some questions please and ill be grateful if anyone can answer. 1. pictures I have of myself and husband are on my phone so they are not date stamped, can I use pictures that are not date stamped? that is can I simply upload them on a word document with explanations on the date and where I took them. will they believe or question it. 2. I live in a studio flat with the bedroom & kitchen together and a separate bathroom (not even so big) the cost of living in my area is crazy. do you think I still need a property inspection for this? I pay rent as well as council tax (have single person discount). my other bills are included in my rent. I have my tenancy agreement as well as email from my landlord saying my husband can join me (however am planning on getting a letter too which shows my husband name). Thank you |

Hi everyone, I keep reading on here about people sending their documents to Sheffield from nigeria however, the TLS website does suggest there's a scanning option where we scan all our supporting documents and they on our behalf forward these to Sheffield. Has no one used this service? And if yes how reliable is it as I will be coming to nigeria to attend biometrics with my husband and want to know if it's worth going the scanning route or just take everything back with me and send to Sheffield myself. Thank you |

Hi house I and my partner are looking to apply for spouse visa next year February and currently getting all documents together. I knew my husband back here at uni in the UK, we broke up and he went to Nigeria after his study visa ended and got back together early this year. Reading this do you think we will have a problem applying as we did break up before 4 years ago, how do I explain this? Another question is if he scanning services at ikeja is reliable as I read from other people about Sheffield not receiving their documents. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks |
