lockheed55: twas caleb. did YOU present both NECO nd WAEC?No. I do use my WAEC only. |
lockheed55: But how does your invite for documentation look like. must one present BOTH waec AND neco. i want to go with both statements of result and the neco cert. cos my DOB on waec cert doent align. during the test he asked for my waec cert i simply told him i only have the neco but was allowed to write. Was it caleb that asked for the WAEC? You can go with your NECO but I doubt if they won't request for your WAEC. |
bravehost4u: tell me about urself not on your CV?@ bravehost thanks. What's your discipline? |
lockheed55: like what about the waec, cos i will be presenting neco?you just have to present it whether you pass or fail. Only them know what they wanna do with it. |
lockheed55: @tracy thanks so much for that information. but there is DOB discrepancy when it comes to my gtb acc personal info. can anything be done on that, @allYou can go with your drivers license. There is no problem about it. Its just to identify you. But more important is your WAEC. |
bravehost4u: i did my panel interview on the 6th and i just got a success mail.@ bravehost could you please post some of the questions here? |
lockheed55: @all, i wonder why questions from new comers to this thread are sometimes left unanswered. anyways, my test yesterday was one that required speed...@loladeking nice to know u did well at the interview. When is your documentation bro? |
My opinion is that WAEC was introduced to confuse you and I who did very well. Such that if their candidates who didn't perform very well in the test get selected eventually, they would tell those who would want to ask questions that he/she performed very well in his/her WAEC.*SMH* |

pearlAdams: ahh guys r loosin faith! Bt wait wait are u serous abt d "revised shortlistin criteria" tin?If someone can tell you that a scheme is for first class graduates who have completed their youth service as at the end of may this year and later changed it to those who can provide evidence they would complete the program by october this year, what do you expect? Let's practice what we preach. |
PhatIon: The fact that those who will be concluding their NYSC service year in october are qualified, according to the "revised" shortlisting criteria, already insinuates that the scheme may not "kick-off" anytime before then, even if the list is released today or was released last month. This may just be confirming that assumption.I like that word you used 'revised shortlisting criteria' |
pearlAdams: Ah let's watch out d list wil b out 2day, saw it in my dream lastnite...my dreams don't lie, serously. Gumoni peepsThere is no point releasing the list again. There is no way you can make it to UK again this year same with the US. Visa processing will take at least 3 weeks. So forget it bro. If they like let them release it next year. |
Peeps can read it here. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/index.php/other-sections/lead-stories/175965-states-send-students-to-bad-varsities-abroad-nuc-kano-osun-fire-back-at-okojie&client=ms-rim&q=kano+state+commissioner+of+education+NYC+,+this+day+newspaper&sa=X&ei=m6NIULqlMKSf0QXSo4DwBA&ved=0CBoQFjAA |
Any Aug 24 documentation crew in the house? |
PhatIon: MobilePunch: NUC cautions states over overseas scholarships http://www.punchng.com/news/nuc-cautions-states-over-overseas-scholarships/wanted to post it yesterday too. They are ashamed already. |
Chiown: @ whizkidy, "print more notes" was for humour purposes .. I hope you have a basic understanding of humour tooyes maam. God will help us all |
Chiown: Just to add.. In America, youths are almost coerced to go to school via various incentives such as scholarships .. black youths are practically begged to go to school (Brown university). Noone cares for a post-grad.. Just go to school and then if you choose 2 further towards a post grad education, you are regarded highly and funded.. It's only in my father land that graduates (irregardless of class) who desire an education are not supported and entertainment is supported.. tomorrow now "THEY" will invite "50 cent" for one "concert" and they'll pay him 10 peoples scholarship money.. and use another 10 peoples schplarship money to organize the show.Print more notes? Just like that? What happens to your knowledge of basic economics? It doesn't work that way o my sister. Let's just pray that among the 500 that would be selected next year some who wouldn't make it this year but passed should be included. |
Chiown: It's funny how each time I hear huge amounts of money in whatever currency owned by anyone, I immediately think "scholarship". I just want to go to school mahn! Uba and co claiming 15 million dollars, Ibori's money seized.. etc.. Hi President Jonathan, Pls can y'all just use just a tad bit of all em looted funds and send some of us to school? Please.. Let my brain not waste away..in a bank somewhere in Nigeria... Bust Pressid, Just one wealthy man in Nigeria can fund all 449 of us... just my humble opinion.tell them my sister |
bravehost4u: just checked my mail box and saw the invite slated for Thursday @ the Marina Office. My help will definitely come from Godthat's good. Best of luck man. |
Guys any new invite for panel interview? |
Nice comments so far! Just got 2 know about this thread & itz really exciting 2 see like-minds getting along well. I was fortunate 2b wit Prof. Okogie sometimes last week & he clearly stated dat d selection process was 30% 4rm SSCE result & 70% 4rm d apt test. D list submitted 2d presidency comprised 25% on merit list(as in, best 25 scores) & 75% based on quota system(2 best 4rm each state). I guess everything shud have been sorted out if not dat d Presidency rejected d list & sed no sentiments shud be used in d selection process. I must confess, dis has increased my admiration 4d president; standing by his words. From d 1st list submitted, I was told about 60% were 4rm d South West & South South, even wit d quota system used. I can only imagine how many percentage would come from same region wit d President's stance. Gudluck 2 all candidates sha!
don't worry guys , by the time all 100 names comes from a region, the president will be under pressure to sponsor all of us. LOL |
PhatIon: Mr. Immortal: Nice piece of information. Thanks.Don't mind those guys they CAVED in under pressure from ACF |
ijanarado: @Immortal: pls can u do us a favor?? Pls be oppurtuned to meet Okojie aain today. Tell him about this thread and about worried nigerians. Some schools in uk started today nd US schools don start already.pls let dem release D̶̲̥̅̊ list anyhow and release some pple from bondage. Abeg I take God beg u. We go pay U̶̲̥̅̊я flight tickethahahaha. That's the height of desperacy |

I don't want to raise this question, but in the previous quota system, what happens to states not represented or ones with only one candidate? *SMH* |
Nkematics: Ambassador,it appears you applied for Aeronautical Engineering. That is what I studied in school (Aerospace Engineering), and subsequently applied for same in PRESSID. Where did you study?I am sure with this last statement of yours, you had your undergraduate studies in ukraine. |
pearlAdams: 13th Aug. a lot of beautiful gals(1st-class) came to writ PressId. Hmmm I bn tink say na ugly gals de read book oooo, abi NUC look passport screen dem as part of d criteria sinc de wil represent naija abroadthat was on a lighter note. Sincerely I saw some beautiful gals that day and cannot but conclude that nigeria is a blessed nation. |
ijanarado: exactly. Cos no one from pressid is seeing all these our posts. All we could just do is pray D̶̲̥̅̊ waiting ends dis week. Wateva D̶̲̥̅̊ selected scholars are told to do.... We hear. Dats Naija for u. We shld keep prayin for D̶̲̥̅̊ country thoughyou can never tell my dear. You can try and google PRESSID and you'll be surprised that this thread will be on the front page. Though there is less likelihood that they would do that. But I can assure you they have an agent here on nairaland. |
Well I sent an e mail to the mail dropped for enquiries while applying and this was the reply I got "its your responsibility to secure admission into the top 25 schools" hope this helps |
masperano: guyz dis pressid me neva understand am o! how is one to get admission if one is selected just wandering now that admission has closed!guy if you win it then you can apply for january admission. |
truz: That's nice. Congrats to all those who made it. But Kano State also had their own method of selection. I think the candidates were interviewed or something, cos someone I know went for the selection process.the most important thing is that their list was published today in the dailies and their award letter given to them also today. In his speech the governor said they've already made contact with the embassy to get their visas as soon as possible and that they will all depart for their respective destinations at once. In his words" we are going to use an aircraft to convey all of you to lagos and from their to your respective destinations". Common transport fare PRESSID cannot give us.*SMH* |
If you tune to NTA right now you'll see the award ceremony for 500 graduates of kano origin to pursue their postgraduate studies abroad. The governor said the total cost was put at 1 million dollars and another batch would be going by january next year. If a whole state can do this without any stupid Test I wonder why our goverment can't just do it for 449. I am sure kano state indigenes who wrote the test will be laughing at us by now. I can't but join them in laughing our leaders to scorn ![]() |
Who knows whether Msc electrical engineering would be writing test? |

Miss Ijanarado u'r one of thos fine inteligent gals am sure...inbox me ur contact or pin na, atleast lemme hav somtin to benefit frm PRESSID sinc am nt sure of anytin yet, we culd get married u knw? guys abeg na pressid joke oooo, ehen.
