No. I do use my WAEC only.

lockheed55: But how does your invite for documentation look like. must one present BOTH waec AND neco. i want to go with both statements of result and the neco cert. cos my DOB on waec cert doent align. during the test he asked for my waec cert i simply told him i only have the neco but was allowed to write.
my invite for test:

im thinking of telling him, in case next time, that what was stated in the requirement was "O' level certificate" and not "O level certificateS"

Was it caleb that asked for the WAEC? You can go with your NECO but I doubt if they won't request for your WAEC.

@whizkidy, my bad here. i only got the test success msg, awaiting documentation date. btw whiz, which form of ID did u use. i dont want to be the only one or among very few? with drivers license. hope they wont ask how i got it. or is it better to go do the passport type of ID. will i be asked questions when presenting certs and ID or they will just look at it. let me know ur best thought on this. thanks in antici.

You can go with your drivers license. There is no problem about it. Its just to identify you. But more important is your WAEC.

bravehost4u: i did my panel interview on the 6th and i just got a success mail.
Honestly i felt like someone that does not know anything with the kind of questions i was asked but i proved to them i was willing to learn and listen.

guys pls who have an idea why gtb interviewers want to know if one has an account with them cos i do. just that theres some big diff with the DOB tinz. or will having an acc with them simply say im truely interested in them to them.

2ndly, guys, ive just checked and lo i have the invite for documentation. pls how does documentation go. is it something about defending ur certs cos my drivers license (QUICKLY OBTAINED IN NO TIME THRU THE MEANS) may raise something. so guys which ID did u show mostly. i lay in thorns awaiting ur response. lol.

My opinion is that WAEC was introduced to confuse you and I who did very well. Such that if their candidates who didn't perform very well in the test get selected eventually, they would tell those who would want to ask questions that he/she performed very well in his/her WAEC.*SMH*

If someone can tell you that a scheme is for first class graduates who have completed their youth service as at the end of may this year and later changed it to those who can provide evidence they would complete the program by october this year, what do you expect? Let's practice what we preach.

PhatIon: The fact that those who will be concluding their NYSC service year in october are qualified, according to the "revised" shortlisting criteria, already insinuates that the scheme may not "kick-off" anytime before then, even if the list is released today or was released last month. This may just be confirming that assumption.

There is no point releasing the list again. There is no way you can make it to UK again this year same with the US. Visa processing will take at least 3 weeks. So forget it bro. If they like let them release it next year.

Chiown: Just to add.. In America, youths are almost coerced to go to school via various incentives such as scholarships .. black youths are practically begged to go to school (Brown university). Noone cares for a post-grad.. Just go to school and then if you choose 2 further towards a post grad education, you are regarded highly and funded.. It's only in my father land that graduates (irregardless of class) who desire an education are not supported and entertainment is supported.. tomorrow now "THEY" will invite "50 cent" for one "concert" and they'll pay him 10 peoples scholarship money.. and use another 10 peoples schplarship money to organize the show.

Then, all these companies will be asking for masters graduates, PhD holders, 20 years experience .. when a first class holder for 5 years has totally deviated from his field just to keep body and soul together.
Train a passionate graduate and he/she will create innovations that will in turn create jobs for Nigerians.. and put Nigeria on the radar. PRESSID, please fund all 449 of us. The Federal account is capable. Just make CBN print more notes!

It was made clear by the president from the onset that "THIS SCHEME IS NOT ABOUT QUOTA", except that wasn't well understood by the committee, I don't even understand why they introduced quota into the selection process in the first place. There should have been no need for the president's rejection or any other of such controversies if the rules, regulations, instructions etc. were strictly followed and not contravened in any way. Please, don't get me wrong, I don't even know the one that would favour me most between using a criteria based on quota or a quota-free one. Notwithstanding I believe more in merit, even if it is the use of merit that would prevent me from making the list, I don't mind (I honestly mean this). "If you don't stand for something, you may fall for anything". MERIT IS WHAT I STAND FOR. Anyone who believes more in quota also has a right to believe in that.

Well I sent an e mail to the mail dropped for enquiries while applying and this was the reply I got "its your responsibility to secure admission into the top 25 schools" hope this helps

the most important thing is that their list was published today in the dailies and their award letter given to them also today. In his speech the governor said they've already made contact with the embassy to get their visas as soon as possible and that they will all depart for their respective destinations at once. In his words" we are going to use an aircraft to convey all of you to lagos and from their to your respective destinations". Common transport fare PRESSID cannot give us.*SMH*

If you tune to NTA right now you'll see the award ceremony for 500 graduates of kano origin to pursue their postgraduate studies abroad. The governor said the total cost was put at 1 million dollars and another batch would be going by january next year. If a whole state can do this without any stupid Test I wonder why our goverment can't just do it for 449. I am sure kano state indigenes who wrote the test will be laughing at us by now. I can't but join them in laughing our leaders to scorn
