adebasket97: Thanks bro..whyna don answer all the questions o...I don already fill sha.but will fill trf by october/November.@whyna seems uaf accepts electronic copy that can be verified online and that costs 2k.....and I think it should take minutes nah, since its in electronic formr is it better to use other options?
@Adebasket yea its better. Although B.C said if the school is registered with them, then they get free copies. Ordinary post is also 2k

And yes UAF is registered with them. Check http://bandscore.ielts.org/search.aspx
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by WhyNa: 11:13am On Jul 07, 2014
Just left British Council now. They said if the institution you are applying to is registered with them, then they get free automatic results. However, if you want them to mail a copy to the school via ordinary post, its 2k. Courier services ranges from 7500 to 11k I tink.

The TRF will be filled when you are ready to send the result to your school but bear in mind that if you are sending via ordinary post, you should allow enough time so that it doesnt get there after the deadline. Dnont know how long it takes but you can send them a mail to confirm.

I'm also writing next month and yes their office is a test centre. People were writing exam today sef

billydragon: wao!!!congrats baba!pls do u choose uaf as d reciever of d test result while fillin d form on line cos all d schools am applyin 2 are under uaf..... And again, is d exam done at d british council?
@Billydragon lemme help Ade answer your question. I dont think it was advisable to include the address of the receiving institution i.e if you are writing between now and September.

Reason is cos admission starts in mid-December and the possibility of them keeping your result till them is.....(its not like they will fling it or something but remember you dont have an admission number yet so to say)

The best thing would have been to leave it blank and fill a TRF closer to the date of admission and submit to British Council asking them to send it to UAF.

As regards the venue of the exam, dont know if the Thompson avenue is their office address but I'l be going to British Council today. i'l update you when I find out every.
All d best.

When are you writing?

jeffoe: @whyna I had similar issue too bunmimich advised writing by November and I am sticking with it for two reason since it takes within 6weeks after the result has being released for it too get to the institution by mail, from calculation that 6 weeks will be between the period for most school admission window so as not to get there too early or late.
second reason is that I am hoping nothing distort my school calendar, am supposed to be through by November that's what the school calendar says but one can be too sure since that depends on ASUU and school management. in case of any eventuality I go just relax.
@whyna I don't know if there would be penalty if it arrives too Early but am sure there would be penalty if it comes late. one can't create that funma account at uaf till November so how would they track it since they don't have your details, u can email them too confirm that, but for other schools not using the joint admission, u could mail them directly and hope they don't reply u with there auto response mail.
@adebasket I guess the result was cool, was that ielts book u sent me self sufficient or did u also prepare with other book. I just downloaded the book though and I have not gone through it. I listened to the first audio in CD 1 and it was pretty cool. how was the exam like, do they repeat questions.
Thanks @jeffoe. Dahonestboss advised me to take it in September too. I mailed one of the universities and I was told that UAF accepts electronic test scores. So I can fill a TRF and send to British Council when admission process starts. That one costs 2k and its cheaper smiley
TravelRe: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by WhyNa: 12:36pm On Jul 04, 2014
. If you would like to request for additional copies of your results to be sent to institutions abroad, please include the complete addresses with area codes as well as your case number with the organisation. Otherwise, you can apply for these when you receive your scores 13 days after your test date. Please visit this link to know how: http://www.britishcouncil.org.ng/exam/ielts

Click on Results and read through

adebasket97: A getting confused about that too now o........will I have to contact the test centre again to send my result. Admissions begin late Nov I guess.
According to what's on the FAQ section on their website, it says and I quote "We send up to 5 Test scores free of charge within 30 days of your test date via ordinary post."

Also read somewhere on the website that you have to fill a TRF form which can be downloaded on their website. The completed form should be sent to their office within 30 days of your test date. Anything outside that requires that a sum be paid before they post it to the school of your choice. I will post the link if I come across it again.

zacchtoy: Please house, can I know whether the admission for this year is on and if not when will it be on.
If you mean admission for next year 2015, the registration is soon to begin. Probably last quarter of this year. If you haven't found a school or course, I suggest you do so online and check the school's website for more info.

If you are talking bout admission for this year 2014, I doubt if admission is still in progress (I stand to be corrected)

Bunmiemich: @WhyNa, you kno wat I'll advise, I'll say you shld jst take ur time b4 writing d exam becos jst like u said, sending d docs ryt nw, you won't be able 2 guarantee that d sch is gona keep it till d application period. Though I think you can decide to add the institutions later on (think 3mnths @ d latest) sha. But you shld try n mail the British council to get more clarifications
Tnx @Bummiemich, will mail them tomorrow n hope its 3 mnths n nt 1 mnth as stated on their website

@dahonestboss, @bummiemich, @adebasket97 Nawa o see confusion. Bout registering online for the exam and saw that if I dnt give them the mailing addresses of the institutions I want them to forward my result to, I incur additional charges of 9k +

Hmmm. Wont it look too desperate sending out the result way ahead of time?
