Hello chrisviral, I just stumbled on this thread and boy am i glad! I would like to know if the applications for the course of your choice goes along side the application for scholarship or is it one of those get-admission-first-then-try-and-get-scholarship, I'm going for MSc. Thanks

IllCheez: Definitely not for Finland. My suggestion was possibly you could have another school in mind from the other country that might request a paper version of your documents and not just to scan them online.

IllCheez: @Whyna, unfortunately, it is unfair that transcripts should cost that much. However, it seems the best option is what has been suggested to get the scanned copy and hold on to sending until December. For the second country, you can print the scanned copy and legalize at the high court at your convenience; who knows? It might be useful at some point. Best of luck on your upcoming exam!

Thanks you guys. It seems thats the only way out though the reply I got from imsu is I can pay now and they hold it till December but release the scanned copy to me. Still looking into it even though it still boils down to eventually paying twice.

Hey Fellas, been a while. Got lots on my mind plus prepn/thinkn bout my upcoming exam. Nyways, I'v got a challenge and I need help. I intend applying for masters degree in another country too and applications start in September. On the issue of transcript (bear in mind that IMSU charges 30K + runs fee), I am allowed to upload a scanned copy of transcript and present the original myself if I am granted admission. However, Finland wants me to send a direct copy to them from my school.

Tough call.....
1. If I get the transcript now for 30k plus, I get a scanned copy and a sealed one and can comfortably apply in the other country of my choice
2. By December, Finland application starts and I'm not allowed to send that copy I have by myself.

Advice would really be appreciated at this moment.....

Please Note: I do not want to pay double now though I might eventually do that if I am granted admission on the other side
I can't just request for a scanned copy or pay now and ask the school to kip the transcript with them till December before sending t5o Finland.

I have already sent out mails to Finland Admissions and also put calls through to IMSU. In the mean time, advices or inputs from people who have gone through similar situations are welcome to comment.

I'm sure a good number of us wish they could read more, another percentage (probably the mothers) are not happy their kids do not like reading. Still yet, another group are irked when they read updates on social media and see mistakes in write-ups from the so-called "learned people"

Mistakes ranging from using Am instead of I'm Happy
There - Their etc.

You would also agree with me that some of the knowledge or idea of a particular thing you know today actually came to you not because you were taught in school, but because you came across it while reading a book.

I therefore want to encourage everyone reading this to learn to read a book. Even if its a 10 page book, and not just any book, good books that will help improve your vocabulary. The same applies to your kids. Catch them young!!

Thespecialone: stay off that product for now. it was recalled by the manufacturer. what basically do you want to do with a tablet will determine the type you will get and also your budget. You can use mtn night plan that also works in the day. There are similar products from Ainol, created and cube. What is your budget and we will get you the lowest price possible.
