So long as you are satisfied with the level of job done, no problem, in life mediocres will always settle for less afterall, some of us after first degree didn't bother about education anymore, some got MSc, PhD etc.
it is up to you to raise your standard of acceptance or continue accommodating mediocrity.

It is possible If the expenditures of the state were constant, which implies stagnation and underdevelopment.
Not true...I gave you a practical example in Anambra state which has been a huge construction site for years now and was adjudged to have the best network of roads by Fed Ministry of Works under Peter Obi governorship with massive investment in education which is evidenced in the performance of its PUBLIC schools in external examinations and competitions(Today, parents are withdrawing their wards from private schools to enrol them in public schools); health care was improved; as in all sectors were transformed with NO DEBT but more savings of over 75billion. Currently, Obiano is doing well and hasn't borrowed too but rather increase salaries of workers by 15% more with prompt payment notwithstanding the so-called reduced allocation from federal government...

It's possible boss but unfortunately, our politicians loot us dry and make management of resources seem like rocket science to us...Any sincere government can work without debts and yet achieve unprecedented results...

Note that Imo state allocation is FAR MORE than that of Anambra state with special agencies like NNDC etc having interventionists schemes there but they have been declared not to be credit worthy by CBN and banned from further borrowing...Do they have more development projects and workers than their neighbors Anambra statehuh...No...so what's the huge debt for?...looted and stolen....

Whatever you're saying is another story entirely because not everyone who takes loan end up looting it.

There are many economies out there who have used loans to benefit their citizenry. And I am not here to defend any of those guys you keep mentioning at all.

Besides, whatever you're saying now could have been useful during the last campaign.
Loan isn't bad if used rightly but I only showed you a little of how the "progressives" used/uses their loans and grants...but they are seen as saints because they are in APC...

Even if used during campaign; partisan folks like you won't change their minds because it is not about good governance but party system to you...but we MUST keep reminding you of the enormity of your uninformed decisions...

You failed to get my point which is that it's not a problem for a state to have debt provided it has put it to developmental purposes.

For example, if state A has a debt of N5 billion naira but has many projects adding values to its citizens' life, it is better than state B with no debt and no developmental projects to benefit the people.
And it is in the name of these developmental projects that monumental fraud and looting of treasury is undertaken...hence, a fashola will claim he's embarking on development project to award a kilometer road for 1billion naira just like an oshiomole, etc...A fashola will borrow $1billion for a project that has exceeded its delivery date by years and the interest of debt and debt itself is accumulating for the state...He will take a $90million loan for primary education but pupils still sit under trees to learn while he goes round inaugurating private schools....A Rochas will borrow till he's banned by CBN to stop borrowing because his state isn't credit worthy again and he's owing salaries for 13months but neighboring state of Anambra has no debt with better infrastructure in all sectors....So what's the loan used for if not looted by themhuh Fashola will tell you because Lagos is viable and credit worthy hence its an open cheque for them to borrow and mortgage the future of their different states...Why is an Obiano of Anambra state increasing salaries with prompt payment at same time that Rochas, Aregbesola is shifting blames to Jonathan and inventing excuses for nonpaymenthuh

Thats a nice step, but for real he was among the unknown governors, sure he wont want to leave the office with debts cuz he knows GMB is from that state and he might have to account for every dime borrowed and how it was spent.

Good one there by Shema.

As it's important and commendable not to leave behind a huge bag of liabilities for your successor, it's equally important to know how much development you brought to your state.

We need to know the following:

How many industries did you start and finish.

Provision of low cost housing for the citizens.

Improvement in the literacy level of the state.

Provision of portable water, good roads and other infrastructures all go a long way in determining your performance in office.
Yes...with your post here is the reason why you should campaign against Rochas of Imo state, Aregbesola Osun state, Amosun of Ogun state, even over hyped Fashola of Lagos state whose state has no reason to be in so much debt etc...they are ruining the future of their states through digital looting and debts...

You want to counter a claim regarding status of a project, you opted to dig the messenger other than taking a trip to the project site, are you ok!!

I was there early this year and I saw nestoil dredger with some pilling work on going, that is a failure for an administration that made that promise in 2011.

Also Jonathan did a rail project and forgot to connect one of Africa's biggest sea port with the biggest market in west Africa, ironically it was the truck ladden with container on that route that destroyed the first bridge.

Jonathan scammed the Igbos, no doubt about that, I don't need Ohaneze to tell me what I can clearly see.

This does not come as a surprise. APC is propaganda personified and ngige is becoming the okorocha of Anambra state. I swear I feel sorry for Anambra people. They have to deal with a short man trying to create problems within their state.

OP don't forget the article where it stated that the ex ohaneze leader went to Buhari to beg him not to disregard igbo people made front page on NL in a speed of light. Ironically, when the real ohaneze leader spoke and loudly stated they neither asked or had anyone go to buhari to beg for anything nor do regret supporting GEJ, funny enough that article faded away in the back. The APC media disregard to carry it while NL, which I've noticed have turned to an APC propaganda machine, equally avoided to post that article on the FP; unlike the one from the so called "ex leader".

I swear that political party is rather annoying. The same way they are trying to cause problems and disunity in rivers and Akwa ibom is the same thing they trying to do in SE and igboland. Smfh!!!!
Oga seun, mods, supermods including ishilove, ngwakwe, lalasticlala and others...let's be mindful of how our actions and inactions discredit a group and cause as well as heat up the polity...the observation by this poster I quoted is germane and a good example of how we engage in partisan reportage....kindly correct this anomaly...thanks

Stop being unnecessarily defensive!

In 2011, GEJ promised the 2nd Niger bridge before the end of his tenure. Did he deliver it? NO

In 2015, a faction of Ndigbo claimed that the 2nd Niger Bridge is a scam since no appreciable work has been recorded.

Now, if anyone wants to counter that submission by the faction, shouldn't the person come with evidence?

At first, Barcanista referred us to a thread purportedly of the said 2nd NB but was discovered to be wrong as the bridge in that thread was of another project.

His other evidences were a call to his friends in Asaba who confirmed that work was ongoing and another news report that JB was disturbed by a set of unemployed at the project site. For all I care, these evidences are not reliable and even if they are, it still validates the claim of the Ndigbo faction that GEJ scammed them with the bridge because it's a project that should have been completed by now.

If completion on that bridge is close to 50%, pictures of it would have been everywhere especially during the last campaign. So, why trying so hard to discredit what the Ndigbo faction said?
There's no Igbo faction but APC charlatans who aren't proud to be called APC hence they choose to rebaptise themselves... Ngige and co who increased CAC revenue by registering a name with no base except in the imagination of people like you are no Ohaneze executive...there's nothing like ohaneze caretaker committee in ohaneze constitution...

Jonathan didn't scam us with second Niger bridge...buy a dictionary to know the meaning of words before usage...

I gave you video link...

fashola promised to deliver light rail by July 2013...but you don't call him scammer but your lord and messiah...hypocrisy and sycophantic life will ruin you if you don't change....

there's no Igbo faction...QED

Quit being cynical... if any group is recognized then be sure, it is the one that's loyal to Jonathan... Ohaneze NEVER changed its name or added anything to its acronym... Ohaneze remains one...its no rocket science brainer.... I didn't say or give an impression that no work was/is ongoing. After all, a project which has achieved only 5% completion even after four years is still work in progress!. My point is GEJ promised 2nd Niger Bridge during 2011 electioneering campaign and he failed to deliver it; hence the Ndigbo faction saying he failed them was correct.
Quit being cynical... why not use 0.5% as that is ongoing too in your bid to denigrate Jonathan...work has gone on beyond what you guys wanna believe... even connecting roads to the bridge has attained reasonable attention....
