Sorry to say that OP's suggestion is dead on arrival. The suggestion is equivalent to stating, in a nonsensical manner, that "if you must prosecute a thief you caught red handed today, you must also prosecute another prson who stole 11-15 years ago".

The issue at hand is the recently released audit report. Lets deal with the newly caught thieves first.
Unfortunately, this analogy isn't right here...Also bear in mind the multiplier effect of selective prosecution...

Barcanista and his flawed reasoning!

What was GEJ doing since 2010? Why didn't he probe OBJ and the leaders before him? What makes you think you have a say in how Buhari will run his govt?

I sincerely believe you haven't gone through the report! If not, you wouldn't have spewed this nonsense here.

You committed a "slippery slope" fallacy. If GMB decides to probe the allegations of the missing money, it doesn't mean he has to probe past leaders. We are not asking him to wake people from their graves to probe them.

Why are you scared by the way? You shouldn't have any reason to fear if GEJ's hands are truly clean.
Don't you think you're the one whose reasoning is flawed herehuh
Some audit has been undertaken both by internal and external auditors but buhari seemed not satisfied with the results...So it is only pertinent that he undertakes a complete audit if he aren't trying to be mischievous...

It is quite distasteful that after seeing the report of the PWC audit, I remember that President GEJ had this report since last year and hid it from the public cos he knows how damaging it is and he knows it will hurt his chances of being re-elected. And it is the same people who were shouting that we vote the thieving administration are the ones dictating what the next government must or must not do. GEJ is still president, why did he sit on the report? Why did you clowns not tell GEJ to do a complete audit of NNPC? You see the level of your hypocrisy eh....

@Mizmycoli; good write up...nice submissions...great thinking...welcomed analysis...sincere opinion...patriotic stance...but it failed to look at yesterday without which there won't be a today...Nigeria hasn't grown because ONE Nigeria is practiced only by a section of the country...If they don't trust us, we would be fuulish to trust them...if they can't forgive us; why should we forgive them...if they can't accept us; why should we accommodate them...life's reciprocal...

As a patriotic Nigerian that I am coupled with my attendant interest in history...Buhari will get as much support as he gave to Jonathan... anything short of this; is neither right nor fair...

Folks like passingshot, gbawe, Obiagelli, omenka, egift, berem etc will desire us to give buhari some space before any criticism but fortunately, we aren't suffering from amnesia of how much space and benefit of doubt they gave Jonathan...They should pray and encourage all to give buhari same amount of support they themselves gave to Jonathan... otherwise we aren't being sincere & objective here...It's no hatred; it's equity and fairness cool

Finally, if buhari could tell us that the problem of Nigeria is Jonathan & PDP, then with buhari and APC in now; we expect all those problems to disappear...Nothing more; Nothing less cool

Thank you and "lots of love" tongue with permission from barcanista grin

What kind of twisted logic is this? Jonathan is the C-i-C with the full weight of the nation's military and intelligence agencies at his command. If some rag-tag army are able to weave a plot this thick around him, then he does not deserve to be reelected. Many of you do what's left of GEJ's legacy a huge disservice by continuing to repeat this nonsense.
Babe, I don't wanna delve into that argument now...But be sure there's more unanswered questions in that shenanigan of chibok...
Boko haram is no rag tag army...

We will soon find out the truth about the whole certifcate saga, the army is compromised they did'nt want Buhari to win. They have had an annual budget of 5-6 billion dollars since the Boko Horam issue came up and embezzled most of the money,Buhari had stated on CNN and Al-Jazzera he is going to investigate where all the funds went. Many Generals are going to jail when Buhari enters just you wait and see for the revelation to come.
I hope Tinubu, Fashola, Saraki, Amechi, Magoro, Goje, Obj etc will be jailed toohuh...Or do they have immunity?

You see when people make comments like "Rewarded for BBOG"I can't help but wonder what the person is up to.
Only PDP apologists consider calling you to serve under a government as a reward rather than an invitation to serve the country because the party has been sitting deeply in corruption and enrichment on public funds.
The woman has said she has never been a member of the APC. Do you have evidence to the contrary? Os the CPC APC?
Are you trying to tell me that every member of the Old CPC are members of the APC? Take Tunde Bakare as an example. If that is true, then every member of AD should be a member of APC but AD is also a political party.
I don't understand why you people love to just jam talk. What has her asking the inept government of President Jonathan to rescue 219 girls that were kidnapped has to do with politics? If we can remember well, it was the PDP that turned it into politics. See picture below.
You people need to argue with a little bit more sincerity and some level of intelligence so we don't put you in the same basket as Fani Kayode and Sarah Palin
1)If it is about service, why is Tinubu and others fighting over such leadership?
2)Why did buhari allow for shedding of innocent blood by his followers if it is merely service for him? Do you serve me by forcehuh
3)Why not advocate service without payment since it is about service to us and not a rewarding venture?...Let them do it without salaries and allowances...
4)So who will continue with the campaign now or are the girls backhuh...
5)If they love the girls sincerely without any political undertone; would they feed off the blood of the innocentshuh
6)If there were no ulterior motives in that bbog campaign; don't you think they should rather be intensifying the campaign now to push new government to bring the supposed change of rescuing the girls as promised by themhuh

Between 1983 and 1985, Peter Onu of Nigeria was Acting Secretary-General of the OAU.At the 1985 Summit in Addis Ababa, statesmen like Julius Nyerere, President of
Tanzania, lobbied for his election as substantive Secretary-General. However, there was a major stumbling block to Peter Onu’s candidature: his Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, was campaigning against him.
In the election of the OAU Secretary-General in 1985, Buhari voted against Nigeria and for Niger instead. He secured the election of Ide Oumarou, a Fulani man from
Niger; as opposed to an Igbo man from Nigeria. By so doing, Buhari became the first and only Head of State in the history of modern international relations to vote against his country in favour of his tribe.

Thank You for these words. I never wanted to join this conversation because I wouldn't want to join issues with some pained folks that can't draw the line between patriotism and partisanship, and between followership by conviction and cult-like followership. Indeed, one our politics have really taken shape and the PDP that was once the cancer of the country has shed a super-majority of the cancerous folks to the APC especially between its inglorious Years of 1999 and 2010. I have been reading some of their insults and character assassination, their lies and propaganda against my humble self, it only confirms to me that these people stand not for progressive change nor are democratic. Rather they are all to kick-out the outgoing incumbent and perpetually remain in power by deploying every form of propaganda against real or imaginable critics, as well as controlling views of Nigerians. We have a major challenge in our hands, we can't afford to give in. Very soon Nigerians will get the true picture of things.
Unfortunately, Nigerians I believe won't get the "change" they sort for with APC and won't also be able to force them out through the ballot easily. Because APC aren't Democrats and are power hungry folks who can shed blood of anyone to remain in power.
